Well at least it looks like they'll be easily accessible for them based on the avatar.
January 16th, 2019 at 4:29 PM ^
Nua thank you
January 16th, 2019 at 5:08 PM ^
Who are these haters you are talking about?
January 16th, 2019 at 5:16 PM ^
There were a fair number of people in full freak mode when Mattison and Washington went to OSU on the heels of two spankings to end the year. Brian himself said something about not having to think about football for 7 months was a blessing. So, while "haters" might be a strong word, there was a shit ton of negativity here just in the last three weeks.
January 16th, 2019 at 5:51 PM ^
myself included. i was a boo hoo babby
January 16th, 2019 at 6:16 PM ^
Out with the old (literally) in with the new
January 16th, 2019 at 6:22 PM ^
So, is this just an excuse to smell your own balls?
January 16th, 2019 at 6:25 PM ^
Two consecutive blowouts to end the season will turn many negative. Even with a few set backs, the program will continue to improve under Harbaugh.
January 16th, 2019 at 10:50 PM ^
Maybe, as you say, two consecutive blowouts to end the season will turn many fans negative. But that's nothing like suggesting that you might prefer gravy in a can.
January 16th, 2019 at 9:19 PM ^
How’s your diabeetus??
January 16th, 2019 at 10:39 PM ^
Raging but not so bad that I can’t go bet on fighting chickens.

MOAR Quaker Oats!!
January 16th, 2019 at 4:00 PM ^
As Faux Mo said twice on the earlier thread, he is the Nua DL Coach.
January 16th, 2019 at 4:01 PM ^
Nua, Campanile, McDaniels, Gattis > Mattison, Washington, McElwain, Pep
January 16th, 2019 at 4:10 PM ^
Washington is the only one of that group I wished would have stayed
January 16th, 2019 at 4:20 PM ^
Washington who?
Whoever he is - he is probably rotting in Columbus and is dead to me...
January 16th, 2019 at 4:25 PM ^
Agree. Mattison leaving was more of an annoyance than a blow to the core.
January 16th, 2019 at 4:20 PM ^
I appreciate where you are coming from, but Mattison is the most accomplished coach of those four. Whether he will be remembered fondly by Michigan fans is another matter altogether.
January 16th, 2019 at 4:27 PM ^
The dude is nearing retirement and the dl noticeably struggled in big moments. How much of that is on Mattison is up for debate, but I don't think M is any more out of position vs Ohio State in the long run because of this.
January 16th, 2019 at 4:41 PM ^
He should be more accomplished. He has a 30 year head start. Recruiting is a young man's game.
January 16th, 2019 at 5:30 PM ^
He may be the most accomplished but considering that our DLine got no pressure whatsoever on Haskins in The Game against an ok but not great OLine, the game may have passed him by. His recruiting had fallen off considerably since the Hoke regime as well. Then you add in that he is a two time traitor. F Mattison.
January 16th, 2019 at 4:31 PM ^
Impossible - the sky fell when Mattison and Washington left. At least, it did if you listened to most people here.
January 16th, 2019 at 4:41 PM ^
I think this puts us at 11, so not so fast on listing McDaniels as a coach.
Maybe if Pep leaves he gets the nod.
January 16th, 2019 at 4:47 PM ^
I think it is McDaniels that gets the nod.
January 16th, 2019 at 4:55 PM ^
And thus Pep not on coaching staff?
January 16th, 2019 at 7:25 PM ^
I think he's suggesting that Pep and McDaniels are secretly the same person.
January 16th, 2019 at 5:00 PM ^
Gattis and McDaniels would both be good WR coach it seems, but Gattis will be plenty busy with OC duties. It's not like Gattis won't be able to offer some help to McDaniels and WR's.
Looks like a good mix/overlap. It's just on Pep now.
January 16th, 2019 at 5:19 PM ^
McDaniels seems to have as much, if not more, experience coaching QBs. He could easily shift to QBs if Pep leaves, leaving the WR to Gattis (along with Roundtree helping out there).
January 16th, 2019 at 5:21 PM ^
Great point. Thanks!
January 16th, 2019 at 6:43 PM ^
Nearly every coordinator also coaches a position group. They just don't necessarily get listed in their job title. I wouldn't expect Gattis to be any different.
January 16th, 2019 at 6:19 PM ^
Nod as is “leave” or “come be with me”?
January 16th, 2019 at 4:01 PM ^
Don't know much about him. He's a good recruiter?
January 16th, 2019 at 4:03 PM ^
Yes and he played in NFL so he can sell that.
January 16th, 2019 at 4:03 PM ^
Coached at Navy and ASU under Herm... thinking that's going to be an ask again later. Though I have no idea really.
January 16th, 2019 at 4:09 PM ^
I don't know anything about him, but as a former NFL player, who is very young, I expect that he will do well on the recruiting trail, either on his own, or in conjunction with others on the staff. Plus, he is Samoan. I want more large Samoans on our team just because they usually have cool names.
January 16th, 2019 at 4:36 PM ^
Also a Samoan male is 56 times more likely to play in the NFL than any other American male.
January 16th, 2019 at 4:56 PM ^
Nationally #458 recruiter per 247 sports.
