06/14/2018 - 4:51pm Also, no one in the country…

Also, no one in the country has an actual surname. Everyone’s surname is literally  [dad’s name’s] son or [dad’s name’s] daughter

06/14/2018 - 4:48pm Any answer other than…

Any answer other than Iceland is dumb and wrong.

06/06/2018 - 11:37am (No subject)

06/06/2018 - 9:40am Yes, but at least he knew…

Yes, but at least he knew how to steal a timeout with nothing but a cup of soda.

05/31/2018 - 4:52pm Not disagreeing, but

that's what people said (over and over) about Kyle Kalis.

I'm more keen on the "has football intelligence" part.

04/02/2018 - 8:34am I am also of the opinion

That a victory by Michigan would be a desirable outcome.

03/27/2018 - 4:26pm All Hail

John Bielien

03/27/2018 - 4:25pm This is

Depressingly accurate

03/27/2018 - 4:23pm Okay.

But how much time do they have to watch tape this week? Times that by 10 and that’s the amount of knowledge Yallich already comes in with.

03/26/2018 - 11:09am This is good advice

Because Sister Jean is a master baiter

03/24/2018 - 11:16pm Winningest UM team

Of all time

03/23/2018 - 1:15pm Guess it depends on your criteria

24-7 during the regular season

BTT Championship

3 seed in the tourney

31 wins

Elite Eight Appearance

Just a blind reading of the resume makes a strong case for a top 4-5 all time UM team.

But I also agree with Stephen. We've got plenty of time to debate this later. (Hopefully about 11 days from now)

03/23/2018 - 1:06pm Yeah

I'll take this half of the bracket, thanks.

03/23/2018 - 8:58am Also, they are 41st in adjusted tempo

That could mean they rely a lot on transition, or it could mean they just take a lot of early clock shots. But if it means the former, they gon' die.

03/19/2018 - 1:00pm I'm oddly comforted by the team's play this weekend

They had so many aberrantly bad shots that I refuse to believe will continue. How often do MAAR or Robinson ever airball a 3? Yet that happened repeatedly, on good looks.

They'll get it figured out, and they're going to have a game soon reminiscent of Texas 2014 or Florida 2013.

03/15/2018 - 9:09am Well he is German

being the bad guy is in his blood.

03/15/2018 - 9:08am There is no conflict about this

If Moe wants to come back, you roll out the red carpet and throw a parade. Senior big men with his skill set are exceedingly rare. If he comes back this team is a top 5 team next year.

03/12/2018 - 12:59pm I’m really excited to see

Z guard Joel Berry

03/12/2018 - 9:00am Of all the things that concern me about our bracket

The start time of the first game is the least of it. I mean, I'm worried for myself having to stay up and watch, but these are college students who are probably up well past midnight most nights anyway.

03/07/2018 - 6:30pm It was definitely a thing for a while on the highline

You can google articles about it. Then the police started cracking down on it, essentially racing up to a room if they saw it to issue fines or whatever. I think it's died down quite a bit since then.

03/07/2018 - 1:24pm One other con with the round robin scheduling:

It would wreak havoc on the B1G tourney. Unless you did screwy stuff with seeding, a few bottom half teams would annually get higher seeds than a few upper half teams.

So if you value the regular season title more than the tourney, fair enough, but this plan might render the tourney as meaningless as the regular season is now.

03/07/2018 - 8:54am And lots of people having sex in the windows

For the enjoyment of those on the high line

03/05/2018 - 1:19pm I know that Rules dictate you can only say this about white guys

But I’ll be damned if Z isn’t one of the grittiest athletes I’ve ever seen in any sport.

03/05/2018 - 12:56pm I was there Saturday too

And there were a LOT of MSU fans trying to unload tix for the finals after the game.

They definitely made plans assuming they’d be playing Saturday and Sunday. Which was extremely satisfying.

Off topic, but all the sad looking fans in OSU gear was great too. They’d already made the trip so they just came to the game.

03/03/2018 - 8:33pm Yep

The number of contested outside shots that Bridges and JJJ took was astounding

03/03/2018 - 8:32pm Was there

My 2 biggest takeaways are

1-Z plays with absolutely no fear, and most of his drives seem disastrous until suddenly the ball goes in

2-Miles Bridges coulda/shoulda dominated that game from start to finish. I pissed off some Staee fans by shouting at him that he wishes he was as good as Matthews, then he promptly ripped off like10 points. They kept their mouths shut tho cause scoreboard.

03/02/2018 - 1:00pm Counterpoint:

You could argue they played great but lost twice against Purdue

03/01/2018 - 1:30pm An excellent code, except

It assumes Bud Light is beer in this case.

02/26/2018 - 2:09pm Agree wholeheartedly

I'd rather see them get a weak 3 in the second round than a really tough 1 in the Sweet 16.

In other words, the difference between the 3 and 4 seeds <<<<<<< the difference between the 1 and 2 seeds, IMO.

02/26/2018 - 2:07pm Agree with you on the general sentiment

But specifically regarding Nebraska, not playing them with dead legs and in a neutral gym (with likely many more UM fans) should make all the difference

02/26/2018 - 12:47pm Cool story bro

No, really. That’s a pretty cool story!

02/26/2018 - 9:21am This might be grasping at straws

But in a normal year, the team ends their tourney run and immediately gets their seeding. I imagine the little practice they have between Selection Sunday and their first game is spent on specifics for handling their first opponent (or two).

If there is general stuff to work on at this point, next week can be focused on that, then there should be plenty of time to gameplan for the tourney matchup too.

Also, I have tickets to the semifinal so I'll (hopefully) get to see the boys in action!

01/26/2018 - 12:55pm Yep

My wife's side of the family have extensive PSU connections and they thought the punishment to the football team was harsh. "It's not fair to punish current players for what happened decades ago"

01/24/2018 - 2:05pm Agreed

I knew him when I was growing up and he was coaching Colerain HS. He was/is a bit of a legend in Cincy HS football, and I like him a lot personally. Glad he's going elsewhere and hope he has lots of success.

01/16/2018 - 1:20pm If there's anyone

I'm willing to take advice from on the proper treatment of serial sexual abusers, it's a Penn State fan.

01/07/2018 - 9:43am Here we go again

12/21/2017 - 9:35am I don't want to sound insensitive

But I don't care much who wins the starter job. What I'm excited about is that for the first time in years and years, the inevitable injury to said starter shouldn't derail the season.

How many promising seasons in the last 10 years have been screwed up by the starting QB missing significant time? For the first time in a long time I'm not remotely concerned about that going into 2018 and that's exciting.

12/07/2017 - 11:49am Thanks for sharing both

But as a football non-expert, I find OL highlight tapes to be competely useless.

12/07/2017 - 11:44am Edit:

Oops, reply fail.

11/29/2017 - 9:02am I mean, he's also a 2019 kid

It's not like raw, excellent athletes who are still juniors in HS haven't shot up the rankings before.

11/24/2017 - 12:42pm Dude seems like he has some wheels

At least enough to keep defenses honest. It also seems like he has a good sense of when to break the pocket and go.

11/16/2017 - 12:33pm Yes!

I can take the general music snobbery, but bagging on Skyline is too far.

11/15/2017 - 8:59am Read this afternoon's

Offense UFR and all will be made clear.

11/12/2017 - 6:11pm I bet

You’re fun at parties

10/30/2017 - 6:17pm When Hoke was coach

These drove me crazy at his BS non-answers.

Now they drive me crazy at the obtuse, unprofessional questions (MGoQuestions excluded, of course).

It’s like they aren’t even trying sometimes.

10/15/2017 - 8:01am This hottest of takes

Seems to be based on nothing other than the fact that he hadn’t seen the field yet.

10/15/2017 - 7:56am I didn’t downvote you

But you’re crazy if you think Michigan was “VERY lucky” to have won yesterday.

They were in control almost the whole game. IU scrambles at the end to tie it, but OT felt pretty comfortable the whole time.

10/11/2017 - 2:22pm My biggest takeaway from this

is that there are 4 top 250 recruits on the O-Line, 2 of which are seniors. Which tells me that it's definitely a coaching issue.

10/11/2017 - 2:15pm How is that different

from literally any other youth sport?

10/11/2017 - 2:11pm Yes

(but mostly the last thing you said)
