Well, PSU is gonna die vs OSU. And hopefully us as well

09/21/2018 - 2:15pm An improvement would be for…

An improvement would be for the link to automatically open in a new tab, rather than opening in the current tab.

09/21/2018 - 12:41pm 90k in SE Michigan will get…

90k in SE Michigan will get you pretty far...

09/20/2018 - 1:08pm I'm sure his backup will be…

I'm sure his backup will be even better, because that's how things tend to work out for OSU.

09/20/2018 - 12:57pm Am I the only one who has…

Am I the only one who has actually enjoyed the new Star Wars movies?  Yes, even TLJ.  Fight me.

09/20/2018 - 12:06pm How did this become a thing?…

How did this become a thing?  Weren't we all praising Harbaugh for his innovative offense in 2015 and 2016?

09/20/2018 - 11:40am Maybe? But that's not…

Maybe? But that's not uncommon for many parts of the country where football is being played. Perhaps the players just aren't used to it?

09/19/2018 - 8:12pm Meh.  I'm over it.  It…

Meh.  I'm over it.  It really doesn't mean anything in the larger scope of things.  The only way it could feasibly matter is if we are kept out of the playoffs for having 2 losses but still won the B1G.

09/19/2018 - 12:38pm That just took me over the…

That just took me over the edge on whether or not we'll cover the spread. Nebraska's defense can't handle Higdon plus a great passing attack, lack of pass-blocking be damned.

09/18/2018 - 11:34am The offense (even with major…

The offense (even with major issues at OT) is leaps and bounds better than 2017.  Mostly because we have an effective QB, and it also appears that we have a solid backup QB.

The defense has appeared to have taken a step back, but I think with some minor issues corrected could be good enough to be a top 10 unit again.  All we need is to improve in a couple of areas, and have a bounce or two actually go our way for once, and we could have a great season.  We have fewer apparent issues than pretty much every team on our schedule outside of OSU.

People are going to be disappointed for quite a while if we are using OSU as our measuring stick.  We just aren't there yet.  But I do believe we're working toward that.

09/18/2018 - 10:40am I agree that he and everyone…

I agree that he and everyone else is entitled to their opinions. However I don't really see the extreme negativity from some around here to be warranted. There have been some rough spots, but Michigan looks like the 2nd or 3rd best team in the B1G right now, with a chance to beat anyone in the league. The defense has been slightly underwhelming after being faced with sky-high expectations. I suspect some of the issues there (and there aren't a ton of them) will sort themselves out over the season. The OTs have really been the only major issue on offense and look like they're getting better (albeit against worse competition, but still). Will they improve enough for us to truly contend? I don't know. But we are far from dead in the water both within our conference and nationally.

Let the season play out. No, we haven't looked like world beaters from week one. Anyone who thought we would was fooling themselves.

09/18/2018 - 10:29am I think everyone is…

I think everyone is overreacting. The WMU and SMU games were fine. SMU was greatly helped by horrible PI calls and a roughing call. The game itself was frustrating because of all of the stoppages moreso than anything UM was doing wrong.

ND was disappointing, but understandable, especially given our issues at OT. Perhaps those will improve over the year - it already has appeared that the OTs have improved, albeit against lesser competition. The ND loss does not mean the sky is falling, and two pretty much dominant wins against lesser competition does not mean the sky is falling.

This team is closer to 2016 levels than it is to 2017 levels. And now we have a borderline great QB. Everyone needs to chill out and watch how the season developes.

09/18/2018 - 10:25am Can confirm. When I pulled…

Can confirm. When I pulled my hamstring I was walking one or two days later. Took me months to be running at full speed again, though.

09/17/2018 - 6:03pm I somewhat agree. I went to…

I somewhat agree. I went to the game for the first time in a few years and I enjoyed it way more than I would have watching at home. Though I will say that I would probably feel the opposite if I went to every game.

The mid portion of the game was absolutely brutal. Something's gotta change.

09/17/2018 - 11:41am I don't know if it tells us…

I don't know if it tells us anything. Maybe the staff is trying to instill confidence in the tackles, and to try and get them as many reps as possible to improve.

09/16/2018 - 8:36pm Wouldn't that be a terrible…

Wouldn't that be a terrible look to owners/coaches of other teams?

09/16/2018 - 3:26pm And yet people are still…

And yet people are still bitching about how the team looks

09/09/2018 - 11:06am Let's be honest.  If Rich…

Let's be honest.  If Rich Rod had the level of success of say, Urban Meyer, he would still have his job.

09/09/2018 - 11:05am I guess ASU wasn't a big…

I guess ASU wasn't a big enough game for them to win it.

Utah State, on the other hand.  That game was HUGE.

09/09/2018 - 10:00am Why not extend that back to…

Why not extend that back to 2015? Harbaugh still has a better record in that time frame.

09/07/2018 - 9:54pm And this is why UFRs should…

And this is why UFRs should not be treated as gospel. They're an in-depth review from a guy who has no actual football playing or coaching experience trying to guess what actual players and coaches are doing.

Don't get me wrong, Brian is pretty good at what he does, but his analysis should be taken with a grain of salt at basically all times

09/07/2018 - 12:45pm All this tells me is that…

All this tells me is that stars mean absolutely nothing for OL.

09/06/2018 - 2:17pm 42-10.

JFC, some of you…

42-10.

JFC, some of you with 20 point doom and gloom predictions.  Hoke and/or Rich Rod aren't coaching us anymore.

09/06/2018 - 10:00am We unfortunately don't have…

We unfortunately don't have a huge win to our name yet.

However, you can see a clear improvement by not going to 4OTs with Illinois, for example.  And not almost losing to Akron, for example.  And not losing to Rutgers and Maryland, for example.

09/06/2018 - 9:36am I actually agree with your…

I actually agree with your assessment of ND being a possible top 10 team.  They only have 3ish tossup type games, and I expect them to win 2 of those.

However, I don't really think you can blame the issues on defense on "youth" while calling NDs WR/QB "veterans."  If anything, it would be the opposite.

09/06/2018 - 9:34am In other words, shit just…

In other words, shit just happens sometimes.  That's what I'm taking away from the ND game.  Perhaps one day, shit will just "happen" in our favor, ala 2011.

09/05/2018 - 12:50pm Given how his offenses…

Given how his offenses performed at Florida, perhaps not.

09/05/2018 - 10:52am Except Michigan scored 40…

Except Michigan scored 40 points per game in 2016...

09/05/2018 - 10:37am I think he's saying that…

I think he's saying that they all did their assignments.

The bigger problem is that there should have been a spy on Wimbush during obvious passing downs, but that's not on Gary or any of the players.

09/04/2018 - 9:16pm "the team did not look like…

"the team did not look like they were on fire" is meaningless. It's lazy crap that people say whenever we lose.

FSU looked pretty "pumped up" when the game started against VT. Look how that turned out for them. I can agree that some things need to be corrected with coaching, but please stop saying the "players didn't want to be there" or weren't jacked up enough or any variation of that lazy trope.

I can pretty much guarantee you the team was pumped up for a night game against a rival in week 1.

09/04/2018 - 5:31pm And I'm saying that you're a…

And I'm saying that you're a troll, and always have been.

09/04/2018 - 5:20pm So basically you're voicing…

So basically you're voicing your unsolicited, contrarian opinion even though by and large you think that the decision is fine?

Seems like you just want attention.

09/04/2018 - 3:34pm I can understand feeling…

I can understand feeling like that (and deep down I worry about that too), but it seems irrational. Programs with no history of sustained success in modern history come into the limelight all the time and remain there - Stanford is a prime example. There's no reason a program with a history of sustained success and has since lost it can return to being "good." He'll, Michigan did just that when Bo was hired.

And I'm not convinced that Michigan is not on the path of returning to playing good football - we've just shot ourselves in the foot a few times along the way. The team is objectively better in many ways than it was at any point from 2008-2014.

It's worth noting that our main rivals are both having all-time high levels of success. The league is as tough now as it ever has been. Michigan is clawing its way back up - it's just taking longer than any of us would have hoped.

09/04/2018 - 6:53am I think a huge theme this…

I think a huge theme this season is going to be how Harbaugh has failed to really set an offensive identity and people are going to be saying it was a huge mistake not to hire an OC

09/03/2018 - 10:35pm So you're saying that App…

So you're saying that App State is an equal to ND? Really? I'd like to see your rationale.

09/03/2018 - 5:37pm Cool post.

Cool post.

09/01/2018 - 11:22pm Yep, I got auto corrected…

Yep, I got auto corrected. But I don't get paid millions of dollars per year to not fuck that type of stuff up

08/31/2018 - 2:07pm Dual RCP90s, I hope.

Dual RCP90s, I hope.

08/31/2018 - 2:05pm This preview has me feeling…

This preview has me feeling less confident than I was before.  ND is basically Michigan with larger receivers and probably a worse quarterback.

The game is at ND, and that means crazy and stupid things will happen (probably in NDs favor).  I want to believe that Michigan will win, but they have let me down too many times.

08/30/2018 - 6:36am Congrats! I have no advice,…

Congrats! I have no advice, but I'll be in your shoes come November, except with twins.

08/29/2018 - 3:27pm So you find it hard to…

So you find it hard to believe that the guy cheating on his wife, ordering sex toys to his office and going on inane twitter rants could physically abuse his wife (who has pictures)?

Mmmmmkay.

08/29/2018 - 3:12pm I do feel bad for his kids,…

I do feel bad for his kids, but not for the reason he thinks I should feel bad for his kids.

08/26/2018 - 5:56pm Open practice.  This is…

Open practice.  This is where you can get information from people who are watching.

08/26/2018 - 5:44pm The problem with this is…

The problem with this is that the sample size we have is really small, and the fact that other receivers have developed another year since that time.

Yes, losing black will hurt us.  I'm not convinced that we can't get by without him.

08/26/2018 - 5:32pm I'm trying to understand why…

I'm trying to understand why so many people are acting like Black being out (again) is the end of our season.

Yeah, it sucks, but perhaps if we were one WR away from a disastrous season we weren't a very good team to begin with....

08/26/2018 - 3:07pm I'm sorry but Black hasn't…

I'm sorry but Black hasn't even played a handful of games for us. What are you basing this off of? We have other talented receivers on the rosters. Next man up.

This loss certainly sucks, but it's not the end of our season by any stretch of the imagination

08/23/2018 - 12:10pm There was a large number of…

There was a large number of Buckeye fans attacking McMurphy and his "motives" for releasing his report. I'm guessing the overlap between those people and the "fake news" crowd is pretty high

08/20/2018 - 6:00pm Especially when you consider…

Especially when you consider that there are more games played every year now, so there are more opportunities to win and surpass the previous record.

Well if a random guy on the internet knows a guy who says so...

Not to throw shade at Brian but I have suspicion that half of the delay was caused by the customer as well.
