I work at NASA and I think you should expand on why you think this is nonsense

So, never, basically. Human…

So, never, basically. Human history is pretty clear.

We could take steps to make it a bit harder to kill people. But that's a touchy subject.

Not THE reason but why are…

Not THE reason but why are we even discussing the dietician in the first place?

Not really a straw man. But if you want to posit that half of mgoblog commenters are indeed not "real people" and are AIs who are programmed to think the sky is falling no matter the circumstances then I may believe you.

Only Michigan could possibly…

Only Michigan could possibly win a National Title and then freak out about a team dietician leaving the program.

I can almost guarantee 99% of the fan base had no idea "head dietician" was even a thing until they figured out they could blame Warde Manuel.

Not to discount her contributions, I just think this fanbase is unhinged.  Literally no other fan base would care about a dietician leaving the program.

This is way beyond the level…

This is way beyond the level of obsession over the team I can currently muster lol. Let me know when something happens, not when an assistant coach posts something vague on social media that could also be explained by him getting a flat tire or stubbing his toe

"all our assistants are…

"all our assistants are jumping ship?"

We've lost 2 assistants by my count.  One of which was never going to stay in college and the other likely got offered an unreasonable amount of money.

Anyway this is Moore's program now, who better to carry on the program culture than the guy who was Harbaugh's explicit understudy?

So, the presumed next head…

Edit: double post

So, the presumed next head…

So, the presumed next head coach is barely older than me, and a guy who is credibly mentioned as a candidate for the next DC is younger than me.

Damn, I'm getting old.

There is no point in…

There is no point in Harbaugh's entire career that even approaches the level of disappointment that Howard's teams are reaching. Throw out the last 3 years and it doesn't change the conversation

Yeah but then you have to…

Yeah but then you have to live in mississippi

I mean, even if he was…

I mean, even if he was directly told by Jim Harbaugh himself one way or the other it still wouldn't mean THAT much.

The situation could change instantly.

Uh. What?

Uh. What?

Can't care about this til…

Can't care about this til tomorrow.

16-1 has to include our away…

16-1 has to include our away games in blue pants.

The only game we lost in blue pants was against Georgia in the CFP

Then I'm glad you're not the…

Then I'm glad you're not the one making those decisions

My hot take based on very…

My hot take based on very little information is that Tuttle is actually a pretty good QB and people would be surprised if he had to play for an extended period.

He has legs and he's looked pretty good on his few passing attempts this year. We could do way worse with a backup

Ok not to be "that guy" but…

Ok not to be "that guy" but isn't he not supposed to be talking about this while the investigation is going on?

Should be incredibly obvious…

Should be incredibly obvious to everyone that Jim is reason 1-100 that no contract has been signed yet. It is what it is. He wants to keep his options open at least for now.

The SEC definitely had a…

The SEC definitely had a down year, but they've earned their reputation.  They have dominated the national landscape since... 2008?  This is only the 2nd year since 2005 where they aren't playing for the title.

I mean, that's probably true…

I mean, that's probably true, but on the other hand Bama didn't exactly light up the scoreboard in most of their games and Michigan has the best defense Alabama will have faced, maybe outside of Georgia

I was lonely in my opinion…

I was lonely in my opinion to fire him immediately after the first slap

There are dozens of us!

Maybe it's because I have no real deep connection to Michigan basketball, and therefore don't really care about Juwan's history as a player at the university, but that sort of conduct should result in immediate firing.  There are no excuses for it.

I put "worth" in quotes for…

I put "worth" in quotes for a reason.

I suppose you and others have a lower standard of conduct for people who represent the university than I do, which is fair.  It's just a difference of opinion.  I'd rather not have coaches acting like that.

Whatever happened was bad…

Whatever happened was bad enough for rumors to be swirling about Howard's future with the program.  Maybe it was relatively nothing, maybe it wasn't, but the fact is that Howard has already assaulted an opposing coach which should be a fireable offense.  Adding whatever this is on top of it just makes the program and university look bad.  And for what?

He's not exactly Bobby Knight where his success may make his antics "worth" keeping him around.

I don't disagree about Izzo,…

I don't disagree about Izzo/other coaches, but they're irrelevant to Michigan, and your post is pure whataboutism.

I believe Michigan should've fired him the minute he stepped off that court, retaining him is and was embarrassing.

It's clear that some form of…

It's clear that some form of altercation happened.  After he already assaulted an opposing coach.

If we pay a guy millions per year to lead young men, we need to hold them to a higher standard. Ask yourself if you'd be fired if you punched someone at work. Now ask yourself why a man who gets paid millions of dollars per year to coach a game gets an exception.

He should have been fired…

He should have been fired after the Wisconsin incident. This is embarrassing for the university

Immediate 3 game suspension…

Immediate 3 game suspension for Ryan Day right?

He'll fit right in with Deion

He'll fit right in with Deion

Yeah, that one is still the…

Yeah, that one is still the most fun to watch.

This is not news.

This is not news.

This is a self preservation…

This is a self preservation move. The NCAA sees the writing on the wall

The record of other SEC…

The record of other SEC teams vs P5 opponents is irrelevant.

What's relevant is that Alabama lost at home to Texas in convincing fashion, and won 3 other games against subpar competition in unconvincing fashion.

Every advanced stat has Michigan as the better team. Time to put up or shut up for Michigan. We already know they can be beaten.

Why don't you let the…

Why don't you let the coaches make that determination?

Arch Manning?

Arch Manning?

Anyone considering playing…

Anyone considering playing for OSU should look at this. They ran a guy out of town for going 11-1 and not living up to the standard set by the current NFL rookie of the year (possibly even the MVP). Who would want to deal with that?

That's even better, because…

That's even better, because it's an incredible self-own. They've been manhandled 3 years straight by a bad team, in their own words.

Man, OSU must suck

If I'm Santa Ono, I'm 100%…

If I'm Santa Ono, I'm 100% hiring a PI firm and handing them whatever info I have.  What have you got to lose?  Worst case you blow a few grand and no one cares.  But if they dig up some actual dirt, send it on to the NCAA and B1G.  And if they don't care, go public with the info.

I get why JT Barrett is on…

I get why JT Barrett is on here (2016) but IIRC he actually seemed like a pretty decent dude.

Unless any of this…

Unless any of this information can be proven, I can't say I really care.  As of now it just reads like a Qanon Michigan football account

I mean, cool?

Until there's…

I mean, cool?

Until there's any shred of proof to back up the claims on this account, who cares? You gotta remember that these guys are motivated to sell clicks and subscriptions and all this stuff sounds like fan fic. Show me some actual proof of anything.

Imagine wanting to play for…

Imagine wanting to play for Brian "faahmulee" Kelly

You can bet your ass that…

You can bet your ass that Harbaugh will be telling Moore all week how this game needs to be called.  The game plan for this game has been in the works literally all year, and I highly doubt it will look like the game plan against Maryland and PSU.

Because Barnhart can't block…

Because Barnhart can't block long enough to let the play develop, for one.

It's pretty clearly #3. The…

It's pretty clearly #3. The league probably threatened more action against the team if Michigan didn't accept the suspension. I'm guessing Harbaugh is confident enough in his team and staff to pull out the Ws. He will still be game planning and that's probably good enough.

Just put it behind us for the year and be done with it.

Petitti is an ass, and needs…

Petitti is an ass, and needs to be fired yesterday. However, if he's ruining your college football experience, take a step back for a second.

Michigan has its best team in decades, maybe ever and has steamrolled everyone. They appear to be significantly better than Ohio State this year. Whether or not Harbaugh is on the sidelines this is a well-coached, focused team. They will win out and make the playoffs. Take a breath, and enjoy the fact that Ryan Day will have a losing record against two Michigan coaches instead of one.

As egregious?

I'd like to…

As egregious?

I'd like to poll coaches about whether they'd want Cam Newton at QB or Connor Stalions stealing signs for them.

I'm gonna guess that coaches would unanimously pick one of these over the other.

Maryland is not a good…

Maryland is not a good football team, we will run a vanilla offense and still put up 35+ points.  Our defense will have Taulia making poor decisions, he will likely throw a pick or two.

Sure. But from where I stand…

Sure. But from where I stand, OSU has dropped off (slowly, but noticeably) since Urban was coaching.  Day was handed the keys to a ferrari and is driving it pretty well, but not maintaining it as well as he should.  OSU has some real issues that haven't seemed to be addressed and no quick fixes in sight.  First and foremost, it's the complete lack of a short yardage running game, which is an effect of having an NFL-style offense and 5 OTs on the line rather than guys who can hold up while run blocking.

It's a knock on Day, specifically, for being handed an excellent situation and not having the chops to keep OSU at the peak they reached under Meyer.  And I think it's a legitimate one.

FSU? Seriously?

FSU? Seriously?
