I like to think of the Hoke OL as Avengers level Bruce Banner six days a week, and then when they step on the field..... Except as a fan, I like to see them angry. |
| 1 week 5 days ago | ...They left him alone!!! |
I immediatly fast forwarded (10:03) to one of my all time favorite Michigan game quotes of all time. "Wide open is Gallon.....They left him alone"
I still remember standing on my couch and shouting as quietly as possible because my wife and kids were asleep. Do I want another game like that this year? Not sure my heart could take another game like this. I was not able to fall asleep until about 3.
Still debating if last second comebacks or the total throttling of a rival is more fun. |
| 1 week 6 days ago | The Team, The Team, The Team |
From what I remember when kids talk about what they like about Michigan, two topics seem to repeat themselves. The team seems like a family, and the coaches talk to you like a real person. I know there are exceptions to this, but many of the lay our the red carpet recruits have a diva like quality. They are Chad Johnson, Terell Owens me-first people who tend to ruin team chemistry and only look out for themselves. This goes directly againt the "The Team, The Team, The Team" mentality Hoke learned from Bo. I wonder if the lets-sit-down-and-have-a-nice-chat type of visit is partially designed to weed out those who do not like this approach. It would not supprise me if Mattison told Hand that he would not start as a freshman, but would get his share of snaps. That was probably a releif compared to being promised he could meet Michael Jackson. Keep in mind that not all great performers have to have this attitude. Just reciently, Denard was the opposite of a Diva. Charles Woodson was a great player, but not a diva. Desmond Howard was a great player but not a diva. Maybe Treadwell was not, I am not sure, but when you post a picture of a pile of money it tends to lean in that direction. I trust the coaches judement, and whatever direction lost interest first does not matter. I root for those that choose to come to Michigan and hope that any kid who goes elsewhere will be okay when they loose to Michigan. |

I saw his work before Michigan at 4H and noticed he was the best one there. |
| 4 weeks 20 min ago | been waiting |
I have been waiting since I the failed three runs up the middle in the Ohio game for a reasonable explanation. I think this is as close as we are going to get. It is nice to have a degree of closure. |
| 5 weeks 2 days ago | Hoke level problems? |
So you are saying that will all of these amazing recruits Hoke is pulling in, there will not be any one rated low enough to fill a special teams squad, and so might need true freshmen? Sounds great to me. |

I seem to remember several passes a game where the reaction was, if he was an inch or two taller that would have been a great play. The difference 4" can make on a wr is the difference between a first down or a punt a few times a game. |

I now want a t shirt of a minion whose head is painted like a Michigan helmet, and Gru pointing a something. |
| 7 weeks 3 days ago | effect on recruiting? |
I was checking on the draft occasionally to see when and who would get Denard so I could become a greater fan of that team. I noticed Michogan was not well represented, though one could lay yet another issue at the feet of richrod. I was wondering, with top recruits considering Michigan, if that is taken into consideration. I could see S E C schools selling 25% of the draft. Or is the general consensus that when Hoke's guys get there, there will be lots of M players taken? |

2015 yards seems like a good omen for Michigan and their future tital hopes. |

That was my first thought. Some msu fans decided to celebrate the loss in Ann Arbor while Michigan fans just looked on disdainfully. |
| 10 weeks 3 days ago | How I am |
Knowing this was going to be the last hurrah for some of the Michigan players, I wanted them to do well. Before the tournament started I wanted them to win just one game to erase the sting from last year. They did and I was satisfied. When they played VCU, I figured at that point, they were playing with house money. They dominated, and with their play told the talking heads to shut up. They made it to the sweet 16, I thought it was a successful year. I was happy. Then the improbable comeback happened, and I watched the ending five times, shaking my head with marvel. I was joyous. They played Florida, and I spent Easter with my family. My DVR gave a higher priority to Mickey Mouse. My kids were happy and I watched every Gif and highlight I could. I was disappointed I missed the game but elated. Last night, I watched as the back up players who cheered so eagerly and enthusiastically for those who had more playing time return the favor with great plays and clutch shots of their own. I was ecstatic.
Now, on the eve of the national championship game, all I can think about is how I do not want the mantra to include references to the fab five, and how they could not get it done. I am nervous, but hopeful.

I am not normally superstitious, but the Michigan shirt I was wearing for the Penn State loss is currently in my closet and has not been worn since. I do not even touch it as I am looking for something to wear. |
| 10 weeks 6 days ago | Profesional Questions? |
Al this is George Littlebottom, Stupid Question times: "How much of the playbook do you expect for Share to learn before he has access to the playbook."
"As a follow up, could Gardner create the playbook on NCAA 13 and only give Morris the download code. If so, what ratings would you give Shane if you were to create him on the game."
MGoQuestions were good though. |

| 11 weeks 1 day ago | Recreating "The Trey" (or trying to) |
I went to a gym this afternoon in order to try and reenact “The Trey.” While I am no Stauskas, I am not terrible from three. What I noticed other than my going 0 fer was the fact that from that distance I was not able to shoot with any form and actually have the ball approach the basket. I ended up chucking the ball at the rim.
It just reaffirmed what I thought. Not only was it a clutch shot, but the degree of difficulty, and the ease by which it appeared to be released, are just amazing.
Remember when we were worried when Morris left early for the draft. |

I recorded the game because i was spending easter with my extended family. Just got home to discover that the game was bumped to record Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Is there any hope to watch it? |

| 11 weeks 4 days ago | Glad Johnson stayed in the game |
I want back and watched the final five minutes of regulation and overtime (about 5 times) and noticed that Johnson had a lot of costly mistakes that helped Michigan come back. He had some bad passes that turned into turnovers, missed shots, and a 10 second violation. He was the Kansas player mainly responsible for the comeback. |

I watched this game with my week old son, who is my third child. I have begun to strongly consider nicknaming him Trey. |
