This will be the thread for hot takes about the offense and offensive playcalling.

Shout out to the WRs today I dont remember any "bad" drops.  Sure there were some passes that went through hands, but generally they were excusable.  I didn't see the "smack your forehead" horrible kind of drops from the last few weeks

It's pretty far down the very long list of awesome things that happened, but getting the passing game going really quieted that narrative that WRs would transfer out or not come for lack of touches. Turns out they'll get ample touches in the biggest game of the year. Narrative busted.

Brilliant. Things were tough early, adapted, made the plays. JJ. Donovan. CJ. The OL making it work.

Stunning. I’m astonished.

The coaches were absolutely brilliant. Harbaugh with a master class.

I’m at loss for words.

I'm at a loss of voice. I was screaming at the TV the entire second half.

I'll admit I was screaming at JJ for his shaky start. The first Johnson TD was a beautiful effort, but I was afraid it was a fluke. But after the second one, I started to get hopeful. And then Donovan did what he does and ... well, I've never been so happy to be proven wrong.

What I was waiting for early in the game was for play-action and some option football for JJ, especially with OSU crashing the box the way they were, and especially from the outside. It didn't seem like we took advantage of his legs fully until the second half.

But, when they did, it opened it up for Edwards and the rest of the running game.

Having watched the highlights "a few" times, I think this is demonstrably true on the two long TDs.

1. The OSU safety is late chasing Edwards, but you can see he even takes a couple steps towards the JJ side of the run

2. The (safety?  actually the same guy! number 12) obviously has responsibility to go after Edwards on the run, with a defender behind him covering JJ.  But the guy gets distracted and takes a half step towards JJ, and Edwards is gone.  I think if 12 goes after Edwards full speed there its a TFL.

JJ is awesome. He is going to be a first round NFL pick in 2 years. We are in great hands. Everyone who doubted this team's passing game can suck it. And the running game in second half. Wow. Just wow. DE with that hand dismantled them. Playoff here we come. We can do it all. Be afraid.

What a second half EXPLOSION!! LOVE IT!! It was all JJ, Edwards and Johnson. The seemingly dead running game came to life.

I'm shocked, it's dream come true.

GOOOOOOO BLUUUUUUUUUE!!

I honestly don’t know if they changed up their scheme. JJ hitting those receivers was great, but they still played them the same. I think the running came from JJ’s runs on his rollouts where he passed earlier in the game, and from our line all playing perfect to open a hole for Donavan to hit and he took it from there. I feel like the line needs more credit for creating those couple holes to burst through with perfect execution. Donavan speed and vision to hit the holes did the rest

They found a way to win, big plays!!!! Probably the best win I've ever seen in my lifetime just over last year.

20 years ago as an 8 year old I remember bursting out in tears after OSU picked off the pasts on the last play in 2002.

I've never seen an OSU win in Columbus since I've been old enough to watch!

They must've keyed on something. Two HUGE TD runs don't come out of nowhere, and those were just absolute daggers. I am curious to see what set those up other than our O-Line just winning in the trenches.

The Bucks were crashing HARD to stop the run. Most plays there were 7-8 guys coming. If their blitz doesn't get through, there's nobody left to catch Edwards.

Same with the 2nd throw to Johnson and the one to Loveland. That one safety was the only one left back there, he's got someone coming at him full speed, and he doesn't have any angle on him or a clue where he's going.
