He also wants him at his best AFTER the season.
|4 days 5 hours ago||Live/die||
We live/die by 3's but Sparties have been shooting a lot of them too. You never know. We have beaten Sparty as bigger underdogs.
That being said, I would not call the bookie (if i had one, which i don't, because it's illegal, legal disclaimer there) to plunk down $ on us today

Right on the money again.

Hacker Pschorr Weisse on tap at a restaurant.
Follow it up at home with Human Blockhead Imperial Bock from Coney Island. Surprisingly smooth.

I believe that JH is smart enough to recognize that if culling and canceling is going to hurt him long run, then he'll stop it and figure out something else.
|2 weeks 16 hours ago||It's just odd though||
Imagine ND having a similar event and Moeller or Lloyd taking part in it. I pcture people from both UM and ND feeling weird about it.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||It can't be easy||
Sure you'd like to be straight up with the kids as far as where they stand in the class, especially where you're still recruiting the position. And you'd like to be able to tell the kid that the offer remains on the table but you are going to have to compete for playing time.
But then, suppose you start telling kids in November that nothing is guaranteed, you run the risk that kids are going to decommit then.

The uni's themselves are bad but not terrible.
The shoes take the overall ensemble over-the-edge to terrible

All weekend long!!
|2 weeks 6 days ago||Unfortunately||
That same incomplete information A) may never get more complete and B) is going to be relied upon by future recruits as an indication of how UM does business.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||because||
...theoretically, these football players are still students. As are thousands of female students. Why should a university spend untold millions on football and next to nothing on women's sports?
If it were your daughter that wanted a scholarship to play a college sport but the program got dropped because football needed more cash to expand the press box, you'd be upset. It applies to HS and grade schools as well.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||Simple||
No gender discrimination allowed in federally funded education programs. Universities have to provide equal opportunity to participate in athletics to men and women. Not necessarily equal $ spent but facilities should be comparable.
Wikipedia does a nice job on it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Title_IX
|2 weeks 6 days ago||A bit of problem||
Offer + Acceptance = contract in my eyes, especially when it prevents the kid from finding a good landing place. I know that it's not legally enforceable since Signing Day hasn't occurred but morally, a deal is a deal.
It's one thing if the kid is told up front that the university is continuing to recruit his position and that his spot isn't 100% solid. It's another to just pull an offer just because you have a shot at someone better.
And yes the facts aren't all clear. But I don't like the way it looks.
|3 weeks 7 hours ago||Agreed||
Brandstatter doesn't do a very good job at painting the picture, ie. formation, personnel ewtc and then he doesn't describe the action as the play is occurring.
The other problem is simply his voice. Everything comes off in the same tone and there's not much variety in cadence. He sounds breathless a lot of the time.

I changed jobs a few months ago and today is a day off. First in many years.
Stay positive my friends.

|3 weeks 4 days ago||Who cares?||
I don't care about "gaps," i don't care who is "elite," I don't care who is "back." I don't care who gets respect and who doesn't.
Just win games.
I know that this is the kind of crap that fills hours of sports talk, when there are no games that anyone cares about to talk about. But, please give it a rest.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Too bad it didn't work out||
But what's done is done and can't be undone. Best wishes for the future and congratulations on the degree.

Time for beer! Work week is over!
|3 weeks 5 days ago||Gandy Dancer did a variation||
On Fridays in the late '70's, GD would run a late afternoon happy hour where they had fried seafood on a cart along with some french fries. 100% free .. except for the beer.
Bicycle Jims had a happy hour special too but not every night.
There was a circuit that you could hit, where you'd get to a happy hour wiih free food most every night of the week.

Seemed odd that they were walking with Congresswoman Debbie Dingell, a fairly liberal Democrat, when it was Congressman Justin Amash, probably as non-liberal as you can imagine, that supplied the tickets to the speech. Then again Ann Arbor is in Dingell's district..
|4 weeks 4 days ago||It's too bad||
ST improved a lot this year. It's one of those things where you ask, would you rather have someone for a few years who you know will do an excellent job or someone for a longer time without the track record but with potential?
In Harbaugh we trust. I'm sure he'll get someone who can and will do well.
|4 weeks 6 days ago||And...||
... if it's O'Korn walking in as the starter, he has a few years experience starting in D1, albeit not in Harbaugh's system. I'm pretty confident that prepping, watching and practicing in this system for a year is going to mean a ton for him. I'll be shocked if he doesn't put up big numbers next year.
|5 weeks 7 hours ago||Head shaking||
I do not know who Cardale Jones has been talking to but they both should have their heads examined. He has no shot.
|5 weeks 2 days ago||And good people||
The top of the Lions organization usually hires someone, decides they like him, think he's a good guy, so he stays for 8 years, in spite of performing the job with marginal, sporadic success. It seems like being a good guy personally enables you keep your job, regardless of how bad a football guy you are.
Trust me, you can find just as nice guys out there that can win you games more consistently than the guys they've kept around.

I thought they looked good but I've liked the maize pants too.
Our coach knows best. In Harbaugh We Trust.
