Jesus Under Investigation 😂--Happy Easter 😊
Spend wonderful time with your family, and the others you love.
I hope all the food is great.
For those alone today, you're actually never alone. And there's a lot to be thankful for, thought it doesn't always feel like it.
Happy Easter!
For those that celebrate Easter next week, the Bee has an article where Orthodox Christians will be Raptured on week after the normal Rapture:
https://babylonbee.com/news/god-confirms-orthodox-rapture-will-occur-one-week-after-regular-rapture
Babylon Bee should always stick to religious satire, it's what they're good at.
The great majority of Christians are amused or at least accepting of the B's satire aimed at them. Leftists seldom satirize other Leftists because they are hypersensitive and don't tolerate disagreement.
It's easy to accept satire of your own when the satire is not funny.

gaaaaah the leftists are no fun and never satirize
have you ever read The Onion or watched Silicon Valley or followed the character arc of Britta from Community or etc. etc. etc.?
🎶 Ain’t no grave gonna hold His body down 🎶
If only they had written 'ain't no tunnel...'
Phew! I thought you were going to tell me that he was under NCAA investigation for a recruiting violation. I was really worried when he multiplied 5 Brown Jug burgers and 2 fries to feed 5,000 recruits. It was pretty cool, though.
Happy Easter!
the investigation is complete....
they got him for turning water into wine and providing free fish when he was recruiting several of the disciples
You forgot- He violated countable coaching time when He told them to cast their nets on the other side of the boat.
Yep, this slowed Him down for 2 to 3 days, but after a couple adjustments to His staff, recruiting really took off after the dead period...yadda, yadda, yadda...roll the clock forward a couple millennia, Coach delivers shoes and a winged helmet to His Vatican Bureau Chief, and we finally kick Ohio square in the Nuts...twice. Happy Easter indeed!
Happy Easter
I thought you were going this route from last night's SNL.
Wow--this was actually pretty funny! I rarely say that about SNL now. That impersonation is dead on.
this impersonation is about the only good thing going on SNL lately, and sadly.
Respectfully disagree. Weekend Update with Colin Jost and Michael Che is routinely extremely funny. I don’t watch much else from SNL these days, but I watch their segment on YouTube every Sunday morning and they’ve almost always got some good gems in there.
Their annual joke swap is some of the more funny segments I’ve seen in recent SNL memory.
100% this. They're a great duo. And you can see that they just crack each other up.
There are occasionally some pretty funny skits. Maybe it's just my sophomoric sense of humor, but the gas bubble/baby skit last night cracked me up.
yes, absolutely agree. i guess i just put that segment into a different category. it's been my only must-watch over the years.
SNL has some talented cast members and some skits crack me up from time to time. In my lifetime, I don’t remember it ever being any more consistent than that. Chloe Fineman does some fun impressions including Brittney and Dolly Parton. Sarah Sherman is bizarre and raw but she can make me laugh hard.
The Trump impersonation is the best around (of many who try) and Weekend Update is as good as ever.

Did you see the Mario Cart spoof of Last of Us?
Funny. I hope they're working on a skit to lampoon the Tennessee House.
We serve an amazing God! Happy Easter!
Happy Easter everyone! He is risen!
Indeed!
"Bloody Romans! What have they ever done for us?"
Happy Easter!
And the Judean People's Front!
I thought we were the wolverine liberation front
Any members of the Wolverine Liberation Army still on the board?
I remember four of them -- dex, ShockFX, M-Wolverine and Elno Lewis. Not sure if Elno Lewis was part of that crew though. I searched them using the tool in the upper right and all usernames except dex have black font meaning they are defunct. But they could still be hanging around here under different names.
I thought we were the peoples front of Judea ?
Happy Passover and Happy Ramadan as well
No religion. Have fun in Bolivia.

Happy Easter!!!!
but after three days I will (get a) rise (out of you) again
Happy mythical being rises and cultists steal spring equinox celebration from pagans day
I'm an atheist that has never been blessed with faith, despite 6 years of Catholic school. But I respect other peoples' faith in any religion because intolerance, either from the faithful or unfaithful, sucks. If people want to wish one another Happy Easter, why rain on their parade?
Hence, my downvote of your post. Unless you forgot the /s, then I'll gladly retract it.
YOLO
Happy Easter!
Even if you're correct and there is no God, you're technically wrong about what Christians believe. Jesus was not mythical. All serious historians agree he was a historical person who existed. Christians believe Jesus was fully human in every sense, but also God (the son). He was not some magical wizard with innate powers but rather God worked through him. God exists outside of spacetime and functions kind of like an author of a book. The book being reality and the author not being an actual perceived character in the book, but still very involved with it's existence and creation. God=love and there must be an object or subject to receive it for it to exist which is why we were created. God or "the author" would have to find a way to communicate with the characters. Logically, to communicate with humans one would have to become a human or write himself into space time existence in a way that humans can perceive. Jesus then did his thing and told people how to live, pursue truth and overcome the penalty for sin (i.e. death) which is to believe in him. It's actually the most tragic story In history by definition given Jesus, as Christians believe, was without sin and therefore the most innocent person to ever live, but then chose to die a brutal dealth as a human which was necessary so he, as a human could pay the ultimate price for us. The guy who deserved it the least sacrificing himself out of love so that everyone with sin could then be "saved" from this penalty. That's why Jesus said "My God why have you forsaken me" while on the cross. God literally did leave him to die alone with no hope so that humans don't have to, but then he rose again triumphantly conquering death before ascending into heaven which, btw, is not some magic place in the clouds caricature like atheists characterize it. Anyway, believe or don't believe, but at least understand what other believe before you have an opinion. Or don't. Whatever. Happy Easter.
Well said. I know Mel Gibson is a controversial figure, but the ending of Passion of the Christ perfectly encapsulates John 3:16 and the meaning of Easter for most Christians.
It is interesting that you gleaned all of this from one sentence . Gremlin 3 never said that he doesn’t believe in god or even that Jesus is not a real person . Gremlin 3 also clearly understands that Christians believe that Jesus rose.
While historians generally agree that there is significant evidence that Jesus was a real person and even that he was crucified, it is only Christians that believe he rose from the dead.
It is also true that the word Easter has roots to the pagan goddess of Spring, Eostre.
Also, if Jesus really were the son of god, do you think he would view his crucifixion as “the most tragic story in history”?
Might the man who is supposed to have said: “All the commandments: You shall not commit adultery, you shall not kill, you shall not steal, you shall not covet, and so on, are summed up in this single command: You must love your neighbor as yourself.” and “Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to cast a stone.” find it more tragic all of the judging others do in his name?
Sorry, but implying Christians are "cultists" is in bad form.
Where is the implication that Christians are cultists?
"Happy mythical being rises and cultists steal spring equinox celebration from pagans day"
Here you go.
Thought you were responding to me.
Lemme guess... you're the same person that preaches tolerance and respect when fussing about how divided this country is.
Nah we probably aren't that divided. Most people just want the freedom to live their life how they want to live it. I think there's a minority of insane people that create all the tension and shit we hear about and then gets extrapolated across the population by the media and politicians who really need us to be divided bc there's literally only two parties we must divide into when it comes time to vote.
Mocking a religion on its most sacred day is in poor taste. Grow up.
I think I overdid it at brunch today.
I won't be rising for awhile.
