Why ya gotta go and bring my tarheels into this discussion? It was such an enjoyable post until the kick in the nuts at the end.

the Kentucky center mention. I'm not sure if you are saying that he should be drafted better than the #9 or worse than at #9 .
If you extrapolate his numbers over a 40 minute game you get 12/10.2/5.1 (blocks!) but then point out that he shoots less than 50% from the line. So his stats are fantastic but his FT shooting is horrid.
I think he sounds like a great prospect to me. Just not sure which way you are looking at it.

Tough to compare dogshit to dogshit. I will still go with Burke's block/foul call as making that game the worst ever even if it's just one call because it cost us a legit chance at a championship.
That said I nominate the worst call of the night when the Stanford player tripped on the halfcourt line and landed on Horton's hip for his 5th foul. Horton's 3rd foul was his only legit foul IMO.

Please don't bring rationality into this terrible thread. Internet Offensive Coordinators with 100% hindsight bias are geniuses and will always win these arguments.

nah, he throws a quick button hook to Dileo and you wish he rolled out. He rolls out and gets sacked and you woulda wished that he ran a QB draw. He runs a QB draw and you woulda wished he threw a jump ball to Funchess. See how this works? It's just a terrible spiraling mess that never ends. let it go man.

The Daily Tarheel always spells it dook as do most of the students in chapel hill. It's their/our version of calling them ohio.

Good question. I have kept my tix since I graduated in 1998 and have spent 10 of the last 15 years living in either North Carolina or Los Angeles. I have come back for 2-3 big games each year and given/sold the balance to friends/family. I am now in Chicago and have been considering giving up my season tix as I am now able to still go to the big game(s) every year mixed in with various away games (last year ND & Alabama, this year NW) which I find very enjoyable as well.
For me the consideration to relinquish my tix are based on three things: 1. My new proximity to away games which are actually on average as close or closer than AA. 2. The absurd explosion of ticket prices/PSL. 3. 2014 home schedule (how Brandon allowed MSU to host us in 2014 over his dead body is beyond ridiculous)
My decision has not been affected whatsoever since our win over ND. I generally only care to go to our home opener + ND/other decent OOC game + MSU/PSU/Ohio. So I just do not see a reason to continue to write a check for $1,000-1,500 every April for 2-3 games each year then go through the hassle to unload the other 4-5 games every fall. I'd prefer to pony up $50 for the opener, $200-250 for a big game home ticket then catch a game or two at Purdue/IU/Iowa/Illinois/Wisky/NW/etc. every fall.
So while I may be one of those that is "threatening" to give up his 2014 tix after 15 years it is not for the same reasons that are driving this thread.

Running those numbers for every play this season would be very time consuming. But I would be interested to see the mix of run/pass when Funchess used to line up as a TE vs. Williams for the first half dozen games. Gotta be 20/80 & 80/20 respectively.
I also wonder about other teams' tendancies as well, if they would tip their hands with personnel on the field decisions. If I were an OC one of my main goals would be to keep all as close to 50/50, or 60/40 worst case, splits just in case other teams hired Seths to do such time-consuming research.

I'm not sure which speculation is more ridiculous, this internal organ theory or last week when the guy that's wife that is a nurse speculating that McGary may have a 1,000,000 to 1 spine disease. Fuck webmd.com, this place has all the answers. wow.
|17 weeks 4 days ago||Good post. Booing is always||
Good post. Booing is always embarrassing to me whether it's meant for players, coaches, or officials. Booing players/coaches is terrible for the reasons you mentioned. But booing officials because you don't like, or most likely don't understand, a call is absurd. Fans that booed the call where we couldnt return the muffed punt was embarrassing yet expected.

ankylosing spondylitis? Just throwing out a random spinal condition to see if it sticks to the wall? This is just an absurd thread, worse than your run of the mill recruiting speculation.
He probably has a common disc herniation or foraminal stenosis which may or may not be resolved through conservative non-surgical therapy. But to throw out a random 100% speculative diagnosis on a message board is ridiculous.

Thanks, not real sure there are any advantages to a huddle, but would love to hear someone try to sway me. I know in 4th grade huddling allowed us to draw plays in the dirt, or maybe take a quick whiz when we really had to go, so maybe that.....?
I'm pretty proud of myself regarding the outcome of my first post on this board in quite a while. Only one snarky flamer and one guy that tried to put words into my mouth/post. Other than that not a bad effort.
|21 weeks 1 day ago||yep, it is lazy. What was my||
yep, it is lazy. What was my point about Manning? This is my summary sentence at the end of that paragraph:
"What this does is gives him (Manning) the last play call option against the defense every single time."
Pretty sure NW which is a college program does exactly this every snap. So if NW and MANY other college teams do this then pretty sure Michigan can as well no matter who is the QB. THAT is where my comparison with Manning begins and ends. Really odd that you then take that one point and lazily debunk my entire post by trying to pretend I'm comparing a college QB to everything else that Manning does. Having the option to change a play at the line, that's it. Nothing more, you are wrong :)
