Those 7 years from getting back into the playoffs to winning back to back championships is one of the greatest NBA stories ever. These guys were a few plays of competing in, and possibly winning, 4 straight championships. I've been looking forward to this tale being told on one of these 30 for 30 shows since the series began.

He was aware he didn't have time to get to mid court. I have to admit, that shot almost went in.
|1 week 3 days ago||I don't see him being Tiger-esque||
but man, he's got a good game. A good mind for the game, like the announcer said, "A young man's body with an older man's mind".

WIN THE GAME!
|2 weeks 3 days ago||I think you are going to miss a hell of a game Monday night||
I think you should change your mind. Last night, and just like every night in the tournament really, you pit two teams that are desperate to move on, desperate not to lose. Fouls are going to be committed, probably lots of them. Yeah, I think a lot of fouls were called but I also think more fouls could have been called, maybe should have been. Perhaps it's turn into a ref-fest but it's kind of the nature of the beast.

Say what you want about the Wildcats but they are a talented team, just young. In each of the last three games the Wildcats pretty much trailed all the first half, caught up in the second half, and won, albeit by a last second three. It was like they were feeling their way through the game. Louisville, ourselves, and Wisconsin are all close to our peaks, the Wildcats are not. They would learn more about their opponents as well as learn to play more as a team then we or the Cards or the Badgers would learn against them. IMHO.

Honorable mention kinda banner, one that just displays the name of those guys we love and appreciate a cut above the rest of the guys we love and appreciate. Someone bring this up to Dave...
|3 weeks 3 days ago||Wow and just like that basketball at Michigan is over||
Football is for the future; I'll be there when the time comes but now is not the time. Now is stil the time for Michigan Basketball, the sadness, the decisions, the closure...
|3 weeks 3 days ago||My thoughts are that we gave it our all||
our weaknesses were exploited, are strengths shined, a great game was played and it was going to end memorably and one team would win and one team would lose.
And we were the ones that lost.
Great game, Kentucky, you earned a well deserved victory.
Congratulations Michigan on a fine season, congratulations Jordan Morgan on a great season, Nick wouldn't it be great to come back for a possible national championship? Love you guys, see yas next year...
|3 weeks 3 days ago||The last view of Jordan Morgan||
looking up at something as he walked towards the bench, as the wildcats mobbed themselves behind him, then looking towards the bench and moving on...
|3 weeks 3 days ago||JON!!!||
YOU CAN DOOOO IT!!!
|3 weeks 3 days ago||DESPITE ALL THE KENTUCKY GREATNESS||
MICHIGAN TAKES BACK THE LEAD!!!!
|3 weeks 3 days ago||It's not over||
Was it over when Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
The one thing we can shoot is the three. The one thing we are is composed. We need to make some adjustments on defense but it's not over.
It can't be.
|3 weeks 3 days ago||Hey Now! You know the rules!||
We play hard but we don't get cheeky...
|3 weeks 3 days ago||Great I just drank my last beer||
working on the missus hard cider now...
|3 weeks 3 days ago||Definitely a key to winning the game||
but it's that there are a lot of keys to winning that concerns me; good thing to see him driving to the hoop.
|3 weeks 3 days ago||Oh yeah! I needed this start!||
I'm running out of beer to take care of this headache. I tell you what the fellas look a lot looser than I'm feeling...
|3 weeks 3 days ago||No kidding, I've been drinking beer to try to get rid||
of this tension headache I've developed. It sucks getting old...
|3 weeks 5 days ago||Truth||
He has become such a strength on this team, he continues to improve! To hear the announcer say, "Morgan with the soft touch" speaks volumes for how far he's come, lol! We wouldn't have won the game without him.
|5 weeks 12 hours ago||I went with Michigan because I went with my heart||
Last year I had us bowing out to Kansas and to see the heart the team showed in that game. ..well it ain't happening this year! I see a way we can take it all the way again and this year I choose to BELIEVE!
|6 weeks 1 day ago||It will be interesting to see how Coach Beilein would use||
Mitch if he was available for the Final Four tournament. Trouble is he is not in basketball shape, let alone prepared to get in the mix; he hasn't practiced with the team has he? No doubt he would catch on quickily but in a one and done scenario can we afford to give him the time he needs to adjust?
|6 weeks 1 day ago||I'd like to think the best times for the program are ahead of us||
but the way Coach Beilein develops talent can be our undoing! I think next year is going to be similar to how this year went; I wouldn't be surprised if both McGary and Stauskas go, and even Glenn might test the waters. Mitch is getting old and if his back is 100% over the off season he's probably going to be in the first round. Glenn has tremendous upside that he is just starting to touch; that might be enough for a team to take a chance on him.
I think Caris is going to have a next year similar to how Nic had it, that he's going to step up and be 'The Man'. I don't think he's going to be here as a senior btw, I think he'll be leaving after next year, he's simply making too much progress. Hopefully Glenn comes back, I think the light goes on for him next year and if that's the case we may have yet another special team to root for. Horford will be the 'ole man' next year to provide a steady focus While Walton will also continue to blossom. Spike will improve and provide valuable minutes, and perhaps Chatman can give us some good minutes that will have us bemoaning him being a 2 year and done guy as well.
And that's the crux of the issue; Coach B develops talent and the talent leaves! The average talent level for the team will rise - there will be more Jordan Morgans in the mix - so I'm thinking Final Four/Elite Eight appearances will be common for our Wolverines in the coming years but will we keep enough players year to year to win it all?
|6 weeks 3 days ago||This isn't Wisconsin's first rodeo, there's||
still a long way to go but so far so good for the Huskers...
|7 weeks 3 days ago||I think we're a dominant team, at least for the Final Four||
Tournament; whether by design or not this team plays successful ball. We have that 'it' factor. I think Wisconsin is special as well and could make it into the Final Four; I know they went through that tough stretch but since then they have righted the ship and have been undefeated since and playing some real good ball.
Truth be told if Appling's wrist gets better the Spartans might also be in the 'special' category; say what you want about the injuries and the whining but mentally that really messed with them and if they get healthy and put together a run in the Big Ten Tournament, watch out for them.
While I wouldn't say Iowa is dominant, if they learn how to play some defense they could make some noise in the tournament as well.
|12 weeks 3 days ago||Cool||
I"m watching this at work tomorrow!
|12 weeks 3 days ago||Has anyone read how serious the injury is?||
From what I read he hasn't even begun rehab; even if he came back in a month he would not be in playing shape and he'd have to work himself back to that to be effective. I am most concerned with his psyche; mentally would he be 100 percent to return or would he be thinking of the back? I'm all for him coming back if it is on schedule and there is no risk of injury and Mitch is mentally ready to come back but if he's not ready in all those aspects perhaps it would be best for the team and himself to sit out this year and prepare for next year.
|12 weeks 3 days ago||Genius!||
Above all things, remember to win the game! No matter what you do, remember we're here to win the game! Sometimes with all the X's and O's I can see how one could get so involved with executing the play that playing to win might take a backseat to playing to execute.
|12 weeks 4 days ago||Are you sh***ing me!?||
What he did tonight was Rumeal Robinson to the third power. Or so. That was a clutch performance. CLUTCH!
So yeah, high praise to you, Derrick Walton!

Great to see Fate had other plans for Jordan instead of him just fading deep into the bench!
Go Jordan! Go Blue!
