Sometimes When You’re On - 2023 National Title
I know many of us remember the Sometimes When You’re On mgoblog hype video prior to the 2009 season (https://youtu.be/gZl35RAxerQ?si=5VRAw9QTQlYMJhhS) and/or the redone version for the 2010 season (https://youtu.be/-IV-xZZay9E?si=Ur0XpGcMr2T6a_qq). Brian even mentioned these hype videos in his post national title game win. Well we’ve got one that doesn’t just try to create hope that things will get better, but rather celebrates the success & triumph of the last 3 seasons capped off by the national title.

Ope, mods you please edit the ‘You’ve’ to ‘You’re’?
Also to be clear, I didn’t made this video. All credit to the YouTube user who did, I just found it perusing YouTube.

Done and done.

We won the 2024 national title, right? I know, that screws with my head too.
January 18th, 2024 at 1:41 PM ^
2023 college football national champions by winning the 2024 national championship game, no?
January 18th, 2024 at 1:42 PM ^
No it’s 2023. They hung a 2023 banner in Schembechler Hall. Just like we talk about the 1997 team that won the 1997 title by virtue of winning the 1998 Rose Bowl. It’s confusing lol

That reminds me. Time to put the banners back up in Crisler.

It doesn't help that some of the merch has 2024 and some of it has 2023.

As someone who watched those original videos over and over and always kind of revisited that time it's cool to see this come full circle.
I don't think you get to appreciate real triumph without feeling the pain and suffering that comes before it.
Thanks for sharing.

One Shining Moment & Sometimes When You're On 2023 version in less than 24 hours?
I am now set for at a minimum the next 7 months. Where I will then transition to 2024 hype videos.
I sure am not going to wish away this pinnacle of fandom that we are experiencing. For once I have noticed that I can see "trouble with the snap", Samuel scoring in 2016, and John O'Korn throwing a 500 ball; and I no longer feel pain. Because what I see now is Haskins hurdling, Donovan running for 85 yards, Blake throwing up the 6 and the 5, and most importantly: Jim hoisting the trophy.

I agree that those three game endings are no longer painful to watch after the success of the last three seasons.
However, watching Sugar Shane continue to play after being concussed is still very painful to watch.

Strangely, that situation made a monumental impact on my family. My brother would not be with his wife and now 4 children if they had not connected via Facebook as they both shared their anger in that situation.

I'm not crying. You're crying.

I'm crying.
You're crying.
We are all crying.

Oh shit there's another guy doing the same thing with a lot of the same beats who's been messaging me for notes. I guess we'll have both.
January 18th, 2024 at 6:24 PM ^
Yes, let's have both. Let's eat the whole damn thing!

You're Really Fucking On!

Goshdangit, this is spectacular. Well done.

I could have done without ever seeing 2015 Michigan State and 2016 Ohio State again, but other than that good stuff.

I actually used to never be able to watch those clips. I had to forward through or skip them. But after the last 3 years, 3 B1G titles, and a national title, I honestly no longer care. It doesn’t hurt anymore. It’s whatever. And that’s the sweetest part. The pain and misery is what made this so sweet and all those painful moments no longer hurt.

It truly was the journey AND the destination. I think about if we drove and won vs OSU in 2017 (an OSU team out of contention for the CFP) would have it meant as much as doing it in the snow and knocking off their most talented team…possibly ever? (I could have done without the 18 and 19 losses though).

Gotta admit I’m a little misty-eyed. Been a long grind back.

Thanks for sharing. I was really hoping someone would make a video like this. The original has stuck with me over the years. I even thought about making my own version to celebrate the national championship. But since it would take a lot longer than I want to spend on it, my football life is now content.

Love this!

well played

Now, all we need is Meyers Media to make a 2023 or even better a 2021-2023 video like they did with the 2% to #2 video.
I am willing to financially contribute to that production!

The beginning of that song with the football plays makes my heart beat faster everytime. And it is not in a good way. I am thankful for the ending videos. Man we have come a long way!

....dusty in here....

My son made this for me because that song encapsulates not just our history, but just about every game I watch that isn't a blowout!
January 18th, 2024 at 5:19 PM ^
I was waiting for this. Very well done!

I'm not crying; you're crying! Damn that was GOOD!

Thank you, I was laying in my hotel room in Houston at 2: 30am wired after the national championship and actually thought how I hoped somebody would make an updated version of this. It's awesome!

Wonderful...I'm not complaining but one of my favorite memories got cut a few seconds too soon-Rod Moore's good-bye wave as he left the field with that glorious, game-sealing INT.
