A little different perspective from those above. Depending on where your fiance's Master's program is, I'd opted for the West Side - specifically, Knob Hill Apartments and apartments/duplexes on 3rd Street south of Liberty Street. Points above are well taken re: pricing, but as a former grad student, my wife and I loved living in this area. It was away from students, it was within a beautiful neighborhood setting, it was ideal for nice walks at night, it is a ten minute walk to downtown Main Street, it is a 12-ish minute walk to the Business School (five min bike ride), it is a five minute walk to the Stadium and the pricing for a one bedroom apt is reasonable. I own rental houses by the Business School and will echo the sentiment to stay away from places within a five minute walk to campus. South of Main Street and East of Washtenaw are the most popular and most pricey. There is a ton of Undergrads which translates into a lot of noise and partying at very random times. If you can find a well priced place north of Rackham Auditorium, it's worth a look. Very dense student population, but at least half are grad students and medical students. Good luck and Go Blue!! |

As a retail owner, Thank You for posting this video. It is amazing in so many ways! |

No telephones for us. As an 86 grad, CRISP (computer registration including student participation) required, initially, standing in line outside of Lorch Hall(?) to register on a given day. It quickly evolved, for me, to a time slot where you still stood in line well beyond your appointed time to sit down with someone at a computer to get your classes. I was in the Engin school so it may have been different for us. |

Christmas Ale. Still have two six-packs left but after tonight it'll be one. Go Blue!! |

Wonder what those stats are for past seven games, comparatively? Hoping for smart play by the team and a much-needed win. Go Blue! |

Did you watch all/most of those games? Each game Matt's play deteriorated while Nik's improved. Watching from the stands, you got the sense the Matt was feeling the pressure of having to do more on the floor to keep his starting position. All of us in my row wanted Matt to succeed but by the seventh game it was obvious that he was struggling and possibly looking over his shoulder to be yanked in lieu of Nik. |

I think GRIII and Stauskas will have it. 82-73 good guys! |

UNC & UVa would be nice additions to get us to 16. Any chance would push the envelope to 18 teams? Wouldn't mind adding NC State and Duke to the mix of the B1G. |

I'd like JB to get the Program Of The Year Award. As stated, COY seems to be taking something irrelevant and making it relevant in one season. JB has taken Michigan from despair to ecstasy during his tenure. |

Well played Lf to a personal attack by someone who does not know you, your wife, your families or your history. |

Regardless of who stays or goes I think we will have an equal shot both this year and next. Talent obviously wins games but there is so much more to winning a Championship. The most important part of the team that is staying (hopefully) intact is the coaching. Recruiting the right kids, putting them in positions to succeed, practicing accountability, having team chemistry, etc. - these are the elements that all of our coaches have done and will continue to do a good job on. The mutual respect the players and coaches have will pay dividends and if lucky will lead to another banner. |

Nicely done. Hopefully you have an awesome location already picked out. We goto SH every year and it looks like the North side has become void of restaurants and good B&B's. Keep us all posted with the name and the stories. We "stepped out" of corporate 11 years ago to open a bakery and love it. |

Michigan 87 - CMU 56 I'm looking for Caris to play about 25 minutes and to have a mini breakout game. |

Neg-bang away but I've always been a fan of Gary since he was the QB for Detroit. Talk about a thankless job. |

Not a fan of Pelinka the player. But as a lawyer and player rep, he is one of the better ones. |

I can't quite compare MSU's team to an Amaker team simply because Izzo is a MUCH better coach than Amaker. I so wanted to believe that Amaker could coach a Big 10 team when he arrived in Ann Arbor, but soon learned that he was a good recruiter who was still a very young coach that wasn't quite ready for prime-time. |

"Is this what we do" - yes, for now. "Harris didn't play" - he played quite a bit and had a decent game.

i'm getting very tired of valenti's schtick. he is a rant-er and will talk over you when he doesn't agree with your logic/comment.

This year will be MUCH more competitive in the BIG 10, but Izzo probably will have his team ready by Tourney time. |

RUSH was the band for us in High School back in the 80's. As a side note, each year the graduating class women would get t-shirts. Our class was "Senior Women Fly By Night". |

I also echo what all have posted - thank you for sharing. It's refreshing to remember that blogs are communities with members having their own personal triumphs and tragedies. I'm very sorry for your loss. Thoughts and Prayers! |
