Dicks Sporting Goods: 30% off Michigan Nat'l Championship Gear

Submitted by WolveJD on January 12th, 2024 at 12:42 PM

Title says it all.  Not all their gear, but most of it on their website.  Not sure how long the sale will last, but the sale also applies to in-store stuff at their Ann Arbor location.

If, like me, you already spent the equivalent of a mortgage payment on Natty gear, get something nice for the Sparty in your life.  Make them feel included.

Punching air rn. I already ordered gear on Tuesday morning. The silver lining is there are things I didn’t grab because my cart was looking a bit hefty. Thanks for the tip.

Just called the local to Dick's to confirm (and ask about adjusting the price for all the Michigan Championship gear I bought at midnight after the game at full price).

Associate responded that Dick's will not adjust prices for previous sales, but they will allow for a return/refund and repurchase at the new discount price (associate also thought policy was odd, but said that most of the gear is not moving as expected).

Thanks for the tip. I ordered a long sleeve t-shirt and hat from Fanatics but really want a Rose Bowl or championship game replica jersey--which was discussed on another thread earlier this week. Anyone find one of those anywhere?

Me too. I want a #2 Blake Corum Rose Bowl game jersey.

Do you hear that, all of the software that spies on everything else I type?

I get ads for Lululemon on MGoBlog because my daughter shops for that stuff on her own cellphone.  So where is my #2 Blake Corum Rose Bowl game jersey ad?

Follow-up: I just clicked on a FB ad (yes, I know) and found this:

https://thebustlight.com/product/mens-michigan-wolverines-vapor-stitched-jersey-rose-bowl-2024-national-champions-patch/

Their 'About Us' page says they are located in Boulder, CO (so not overseas) and the quality appears to be good at first glance. They have Corum, JJ, Edwards, and Wilson jerseys among current players and the Rose Bowl patches seem reasonably legit. Can't vouch for the company but this is the best American based option that I've found so far.

My wife was talking about Sierra the other day.  I'd never heard of it.  She said it was like an inexpensive Dicks.  She said women love inexpensive Dicks.

(...and why is it that in my town Dick's is always next to BJ's?)

When we were trying to name our new puppy back in 2019, we brainstormed a bunch of ideas - human names, typical dog names, store names.

My then-14 yo daughter said, "All I know is we can't name our dog after Dick's. I don't want to go to school and say, 'I love Dick.'"

I wanted to be mad if I could stop laughing...

Appreciate the heads up...was waiting to pull the trigger on gear (already ordered copies of the front page Daily issues) and the price drop made the long sleeve I got more sensible

Maybe because so much of it reads:

WITHOUT
CHAMPS

unless you squint to see "a doubt".

Who designs this shit with whole paragraphs to read on it?

Yeah, I can follow the line of reasoning that got them there, but I can't understand why not one adult in the room said "hey, has anyone noticed this looks like garbage?"

I guess certain types of fan love wordy shirts with terrible wordplay and that's fine, no one is forcing me to buy it. That said, I'm not surprised it isn't flying off the shelves.

All the championship gear is so loud and has so much unnecessary stuff. I either need somethin extra simple or I want it to be full 90s with an actual wolverine on it

Was just at Costco.  National Championship hoodies for $29.99.  T-Shirts and hats for $16.99.  Seem like good quality.  Hoodie at least is a Champion brand product.

Thank you for posting. One note for anyone looking to buy a Valiant branded sweatshirt, they shrink, a LOT. Wife and I bought the Michigan v Everybody crewnecks for Penn State and I couldn’t wear mine after a wash.
