Well, that's also assuming they actually get the student attendance back up to 20K. I hope that'll happen, but I imagine it will fall somewhere in the middle.

Except weren't student tickets purchased down to about 12 or 13K this year? 12K @ $295 vs. 20K at $175 is practically a wash.

Where did Snyder get "career-ending" from? Here's the quote as shown in Baumgardner's article today (assuming they're both referring to the same statement from Hoke):
"There's only 12 seniors in this class, we'll have some guys who are medical (redshirts) and that kind of thing, which gets us up to about 15, but this is a small class. Seventy-eight of our players are freshmen or sophomores, that's a lot of young guys."

"All the BS" in the world will not keep me away. Despite the aforementioned bovine excrement, I still consider fall Saturdays in the Big House a privilege not to be missed. GO BLUE!

A couple dumbasses at the bottom of section 17 (I sit in 18) tried to start the wave as well, if I recall, in the 2nd quarter! They tried at least 10 times. The fine folks in the south endzone were having none of it.

Can I get some bangin?
The week has dragged on. I'm kinda glad. Last Saturday took lots of time to get over. But I'm over it. Almost.

Every time they announce one of these, I email my boss with the subject line "I will be [insert age here] when..." It's become a running joke between us.

The way I'll look at this matchup....
Since I can't possibly root for either team to win, I will hope for this:
Something big is on the line for both teams... for OSU, CFB playoff berth implications. For ND, a year's supply of hot wings from KFC.
Whomever loses, the loss is devastating. Ruins their season. And hopefully the loss transpires on the last play of the game.

I still have this game on my DVR. Every time I think I should delete it to free up space, I watch the last 2 minutes and think, "nah... not just yet."

I have two chocolate cake shots before heading out to my tailgate.
If you don't know this one:
In shot glass: Equal parts of Frangelico and Absolut Citron
Drink shot, bite lemon. Oddly like chocolate cake. Even if you don't think so, it's super tasty.

Yeah, unlikely you've read anything of mine. I don't post very often. By the time I have time to, numerous folks have already said it all. I don't have time in my life to get deep into the X's and O's, in-depth analysis, etc. to the point that I'd post a lengthy diary or something like that. I only really posted in this thread because I think it's a little silly to have yet another 'who's your favorite MGoPoster' thread. This is at least the third one since I first signed on. I guess tons of kudos in the comments and tens of thousands of MGoPoints aren't enough to stroke people's egos. But what do I know? It sure seems to be a popular topic. So I don't post much. But I read the blog daily because I'm at least as big a Michigan fan as anyone here, and also an alum.
As for Mr. Forcier... he's a bit of a nutcase for sure, but his performance in the ND game from which my avatar pic was taken was inspiring... not to mention one of the few-and-far-between happy days in the Rich Rod era. So I made it my avatar and never got around to changing it.

Oh well, no big loss. It's not like I'm gonna sit and watch him drink a beer while I don't.

I made that same drive back on Sunday. Horrible! Although we got pretty lucky during the game, and I managed to be standing under the bridge waiting for the train when the deluge began after the game. Still, it was a fun time, and I've already got tix to go back this year.

Leslie Park had some renovations that went into play last season, entirely on the back 9. Holes 10-13 underwent some pretty major changes, as they re-routed the creek that runs through there. Some nice stone wall additions, a couple bridges here and there, etc. They've shortened #10 (new tee boxes farther forward)... good for me, as that hole is my nemesis. #11 is still a bit unstable after the reno... some areas under repair, a bit messy/muddy after rain. (Too bad... I love this hole.) They also did some stone wall work around the pond on #17. All in all, some nice work with these changes, and overall the course was in pretty darn good shape when I played it last week...especially given the brutal winter we had. I absolutely love the course.
Huron Hills...I've only been playing for 5 years, and there have been no changes during that time. They allow carts now (it used to be a walking-only course, I guess?). And I agree with goblueram... it's kinda a dump, and over-priced (unless you get a deal of some sort).

I only buy them when the jackpot gets up there... at least $100M. But yeah, I still buy them. Can't win if you don't play, right?

Not this time. But about 6 or 7 years ago, I won $10K in the Mega Millions drawing. One more number and it would've been $192M. That plagued my first waking thoughts every morning for about a month until I got over it. But $10K was sure nice. I screamed. A lot.
|21 weeks 2 hours ago||Ahh, gotcha. $70 is exactly||
Ahh, gotcha. $70 is exactly what it cost me last year (through my friend's NW alum assoc deal). I think it's a little pricey, too... but it's a good time, so I'm sure I'll go again one way or another. Thanks for the reply!
|21 weeks 5 hours ago||Question||
Hey... how did you get your tix for NW? When I renewed my season tix, there was info that said available away games would be offered on a priorty points basis (like most things), and that those with lower point totals (that'd be me, although I'm not rock bottom or anything) would be offered in May, if available. I never saw anything else about it. Just curious... I went last year using tix a friend and NW alum purchased, and Ryan Field wasn't anywhere close to filled. Was hoping to purchase them on my own through UMAD this year.

Ditto that. I've seen SR live in concert six times. The time I saw them in Toronto several years back, they played Festival and blasted confetti out into the audience. That show was pure magic.

FYI... the corner sections are oddly shaped and get wider as you go up. I sit almost at the top of section 18 (which is almost, but not quite, in the SW corner). The aisle there goes between seats 24 and 25.
