about a Michigan sporting event result since the 2011 Ohio State Football game.  It's good to be Blue! Hail to the Victors.  I guess this means we root for UNC?

the game by myself at home. I love doing that because I get to act like a complete idiot and no one can judge me!!! Go Blue!!! I'm pretty sure I told the non existant VCU fan in my living room to suck it at least 10 times!!

Well, I said it wouldn't be close. . . I didn't predict who would win, just that it wouldn't be close.

Making accurate predictions that mean absolutely nothing is more or less my lot in life, and I'm a Michigan alum, so. . . well, not sure what the point is, but it's a good day.

A question asked on radio down here. Is making the sweet 16 like going to a BSC bowl? Or would that be elite 8? Just a thought to ponder. Anyway, this is awesome!

Closer to the same number of contestants  -- although it's really not comparable, because

  • Basketball tournament seeding is (at least putatively) based on merit, not tourism or TV draw.
  • Coversely, making the Elite 8 depends heavily on a 3-game sample of performance, not a season.
  • All eight Elite 8 teams are eligble to win the championship, but only two BCS teams are.

Was an obvious attempt to get ratings after VCU destroyed Akron. That game had no relevance on the game today against Michigan.
Likewise, destroying VCU means nothing in the next round's matchups.

John Beilein just checking things off the list. First Big Ten title in 22 years (or was it 24) last year, first Sweet 16 since 1994 this year.

Now lets make it the first final 4 since the Fab Five.
