| 7 weeks 3 days ago | Right after the Trouba news |
this heals my heart. Looking forward to seeing McGary grow into a absolute force next year. |
| 8 weeks 10 hours ago | This is a special team |

| 8 weeks 10 hours ago | He can go to the NBA with my blessings now |
but I wouldn't mind three more college games either....
Thank you TREY! |
| 8 weeks 11 hours ago | Clutch play by Robinson and McGary |

| 8 weeks 11 hours ago | please oh please |
let burke and not stauskas take the last shot (not your night kid) |
| 8 weeks 6 days ago | i heard the sideline reporter say that too |
and I was in disbelief. i mean, seriously, Adidas, seriously? How can they not even have some crazy clown costume ready for upcoming "road" games?

| 8 weeks 6 days ago | glad we fought through the mugging |
how many torn jerseys and clutches and grabs? it's nice having human, non-Rigellian refs again, isn't it? go blue! |

| 10 weeks 5 days ago | need two things to happen in wake of this loss |
1. need a football commit and a Hello: post about a weekend visitor 2. need a B1G team from the NCAA bubble to win the B1G to get an 8th team in (while all the favorites rest their guys for a deep run) |
| 12 weeks 5 days ago | Coaching tree |
Coaching trees need branches. Gotta sow the seeds away from the main trunk. When Hoke went to Ball St or SDSU, was it Lloyd's miss? |
| 26 weeks 4 days ago | 2014 home/away schedule |
How does having to add in one of these games affect the schedules? Does UM just back out of one of the OOC games? Do we get to reshuffle the odd/even year split between good home slates and the bad ones? Waiting to hear WAY-TOO-SOON speculation on that... |
| 26 weeks 4 days ago | I think the important word |
I think the important word there is "HIS [Edsall's] tire fire." From reading TWIS, I am not sure the Maryland fanbase is all that enthralled with him, and with all that sweet BTN cash, Maryland might go pay for other coaches/coord/etc. Then that might brings some students back. Of course, that hasn't yet helped some of the football programs already in the B1G. |
| 46 weeks 1 day ago | 1. If his blades were |
1. If his blades were de-engineered to not be so efficient, would that be okay with everyone? 2. If Jon Falk gives Denard something to put at the end of his legs that gives him an advantage over Ohio State (like long cleats for muddy days), is that okay with everyone? |
| 3 years 7 weeks ago | "what we thought Darko was" |
"what we thought Darko was" A 17-year-old in a few shaky video clips, IIRC. Chad Ford liked him, but there wasn't a lot to go on except rumor. There was very little solid evidence about Darko, his play, even his measurables. As opposed to an unguardable 3-4 who had just scored like 35 ppg in the NCAAs. It's the age-old problem of "drafting for need" vs. "best player available". Tayshaun was the heir apparent for the 3 replacing Corliss, so the "need" for the Pistons was someone taller than Ben who could play center and wasn't Mehmet Okur. I get that mindset. But the Pistons proved capable of getting a 4-5 when they got Rasheed later, didn't need one through the draft. Joe D must have just figured that Carmelo was not all about "Goin' to Work" and the Pistons identity (at the time) of tough defense, so they went a different direction. Into a pick most people (including myself) now regret. |
| 3 years 7 weeks ago | Payroll is key here |
Compare the payroll during the 120-loss seasons the Tigers had to the payroll the years they started getting those players. Dombrowski has benefitted from being able to pick between players worth multi-millions, where Smith had to pick from what Bill Simmons calls the "poo-poo platter," concerning free agents, trades, pitcher signing bonuses for early 1st rounders, etc. Don't think that the NHL salary cap didn't have something to do with Ilitch being to throw money at the baseball team all of a sudden. |
| 3 years 13 weeks ago | I am sure |
I am sure his deep ball will be improved by two things: I hope Tate has that much upside; we'll win some games that way. |

"You're a lot of woman, you know that? Yeah, wanna make 14 dollars the hard way?" |
| 3 years 18 weeks ago | Good point |
I remember Februarys walking under the Grad Library, getting blasted by the wind tunnels around the Diag, plus standing around for the AATA or the campus bus to go to North or South Campus. That's what the recruits don't want. They would likely be fine with a little bit of cold hands on a sideline. With all these Charles Woodson articles written about his DPOY award, they all say he didn't want to go to Green Bay at first because of the snow, and he was from Ohio and went to UM. Jared Allen went to Idaho State, and still dislikes Minnesota weather. It's a fact. It shouldn't trump that UM is an NFL pipeline, playing time concerns, etc., but it's a fact of Big 10 life. |
| 3 years 21 weeks ago | Offensive line injuries |
Granted, of the 5 starting lineman, we could probably afford to lose Molk LEAST...but someone's going to be banged up by the time we play MSU, right? It is just a given. It's not like it's unforeseeable. We can hope they do a bit better working second-stringers in this year than last. |
| 3 years 21 weeks ago | It is not fishy |
if you consider the giant cyst in his brain that flares up with pain during moments of stress -- there was a big article on it in Sports Illustrated (and likely still on CNNSI.com). As of 3:14 pm Sunday, ESPN reports it is just a 'leave' during 2010 season. Brian Kelly better not have a fake degree like O'Leary, though. |

People said Murdoch wouldn't ruin the WSJ, but the proof is in the pudding, it seems. |

| 3 years 27 weeks ago | Competition-invariant? |
I guess things like Penn State > ND, Wisconsin > Michigan St. and Iowa > Indiana aren't worth considering? Teams are ranked for some reasons, reasons like ability to kick the hell out of conference cellar-dwellers like Michigan (which is where we are). Also, all your bullets are happening to other teams too. ND losing Floyd and Clausen, Iowa losing Stanzi, etc. (4) is laughable. Is it impossible for Michigan to figure out other teams weaknesses? We have as much film on them as they do on us. |
| 3 years 27 weeks ago | Jamiemac will be happy |
Michigan will beat the spread! Your predictions are so well-reasoned! But this is the 2009 Wolverines, where reason is only occasionally employed. If it doesn't happen your way, it's because of Ezeh's, Mouton's, Leach's and Kovacs' mental vacations. Write it down. |
| 3 years 27 weeks ago | Don't watch the first quarter |
Just tune in around 1pm and watch the Tate Forcier comeback from the 14-0, 2-pick-six hole dug for him. |
| 3 years 27 weeks ago | Remember the old TMQ item? |
He was tracking the New York Times weekly football picks section, and for three straight years they didn't get a single score prediction right. It was like 0-for-750 or something. So don't knock anybody but a serious Vegas person for not predicting a score exactly right. |
