Mobile Football tickets--Sell on Stubhub?
So, I've always sold tickets on StubHub. This year, the AD has partnered with SeatGeek, which I haven't really used much.
I went on tonight to try and figure out SeatGeek, and it is listing my tickets with a horrible "Deal Score" which makes zero sense to me because I listed my tickets cheaper than tickets 50 rows higher, yet somehow they are getting good deal scores and I am not. Hell, there are literally seats 4 rows behind me that are the same price as mine that have a 7.3 "Deal Score" but mine is 5.2
I'm not going to keep using Seat Geek if they are trashing on my seats like this, and of course contacting Customer Support is impossible. Can we still sell our tickets on StubHub? How does it work now? I've always just transferred them from the UM Ticket website to StubHub, but apparently you can only do that with Seat Geek now.
Thanks.
You're welcome.
Stuck the landing.
my consulting rate is like $250/hour bro
LOL, funny funny guys.
My "Deal Score" just jumped up to 8.3. I have no idea why it was 5.2 before--maybe my tickets weren't verified yet.
Be sure to keep us posted. I won't be able to sleep without closure on your fluctuating deal score.
Don't worry, I'll DM you with daily updates!

The snarks are strong with this one. But I for one appreciate the info. Thanks!
Hey, what’s your Uber rating?
Did you think to ask the board if anyone here might want to buy your tix so that Michigan fans are watching games in Michigan Stadium with the ability to avoid the fees that go with sites like Stubhub and SeatGeek?
+1. That's the way to do it ---- avoid StubHub and SeatGeek if at all possible. They are blood-sucking parasites who make lots of money off a business model of (1) ridiculously large transaction fees combined with (2) very low overhead/infrastructure costs.
Hey, I guess those "genius" tech bros won't become Billionaires otherwise.
Anyway ............. it sucks that Michigan (and 100+ other schools) partner with those scum, but that's the way it is. Everything is about monetization and the ticket-sites surely are kicking the schools back a bunch of $$$. It sucks.
Did you expect them to build and maintain the website for free? Do you do your job for free? Did the scalpers that operated around Ann Arbor not Jack up prices so they could make money 20 years ago?
It is capitalism, it’s how the world works. Get over it.
you ain't wrong.
Sure, it is capitalism. And they do provide a service.
But if you think their service is worth them taking ~ 30% of every transaction, I disagree. That's absurdly high.
And part of the reason they're that high is because lots of schools/teams partner with them and enable them (because StubHub is kicking back some of those fees).
I actually have sold tickets to people on this site before. However finding people that want to buy and that you can get 2-way trust going with is not always easy.
I used to sell my whole season ticket package for face value but people kept screwing me over and canceling out right after the dual MSU-OSU year, which left me way in the hole trying to sell the off-year schedules.
There’s a sticky thread on this site for tix. What games are you looking to sell? If someone on here screwed you over you could post that and it wouldn’t go well for that person. You’re likely to make more $ on this site with less hassle for yourself
How about you actually use the tickets or, alternatively, give them up so another “fan” can use them?!
Or... pay attention... perhaps he wasn't able to attend a particular year for a reason that is none of your business.
For me... I have had tickets for nearly 30 years. I go to most games but I have cut back considerably over the past few years. My kids are teenagers and have been pretty heavily involved in fall sports. As much as I love Michigan football Saturdays, there are several factors that trump the need to be at every game, every year.
Seriously, did this post really trigger you that much or are you just always an asshole?
Deal score = annoying people around you. A.I. knows!!!
I wish I could help but when I buy tickets, I intend on going to the event. I guess that's the glory of not have kids or a life, things don't pop up that makes me miss ticketed events.
I really do hope you find your answer.
My dad had season tickets for decades and transferred them to me when he retired out west. Unfortunately I moved to keep the wife happy so I'm not in AA anymore. But we have 4 together (which you can't get easily anymore) so I don't want to give them up in case we ever move back.
You moved to make your wife happy without securing assurances that you’d be back in A2 for all football Saturday’s?
Bud, you don’t need to worry about your seat geek score rather the rating of the divorce attorney you should have called yesterday.
Chuckle. +1
User name fits.
Id love to get your 4 tix for the Bowling Green game...I live in Georgia but will be in town for my parents 50th. My kids are now old enough/interested enough to give it a go.
Let me know if you want to unload your ECU tickets!
The transition between StubHub and SeatGeek has been a cluster for me, as it happened right between when I bought tickets for a booked weekend and am reselling them while buying for the open weekend. I don't want to use either site ever again, at this point.
I had the same rating issue
through the chat function, I found out that every listing initially gets a low score. Wait a couple of hours and it will fix itself - as you found out. (I put this out there as a PSA for anyone else listing tickets)
I want to point out another flaw with Seatgeek if you are listing for tickets- if you use there recommended Split it sets it up where someone can buy 1,2 or 4 seats
if someone buys 1, you will then only be able to sell the remaining 3 together. There is no option to sell only 2 or 4 tickets (not one that I could find nor that the chat can point out)
I was fine with StubHub, I think SeatGeek is garbage

Thank you for actually answering the question and not just being snarky. I expect the snarkiness here so it doesn't bother me, but it's nice to know that someone else saw this same thing with the deal score.
I'm dealing with it now by just listing my tickets too high initially and then waiting till the next day to go back and fine tune the prices. I'm not in this to make some huge profit on my tickets.
