Might be. But the other way to look at it is that other schools who may rank well on signing day will lose more of their top talent than we might. Case in point: while I didn’t actually read the article, I’ll assume that both Air Noland and Julian Sayin are factored into OSU’s class. We know that one of these guys will likely never play for them and possibly both won’t. However, they might bring in another player that you can’t factor into these rankings. My point is simply that with all the player movement this is just a total crapshoot at this time
Um, I’m a Giants fan. We liked Wink. With the amount of talent they had on that side of the ball (not much) and with the position the offense often put them in he did an admirable job. He didn’t get fired for performance. It was that he and Daboll hated each other for various reasons. Now, if he gets the job I have no clue if it will work out but the dude can coach defense
I certainly trust your experience as an antitrust lawyer as opposed to my layman’s view view as a simple fan but you’ll never be able to convince me that the 1922 Federal League case that stated baseball was not interstate commerce and therefore was exempt from Sherman was not complete and total bullshit. The owners had zero interest in maintaining competitive balance but rather restricting player movement for cost concerns. The fact that the case was affirmed later on in Toolson and, I believe, still stands today is an insult to those players who tried to organize back then. In the end it worked out thanks to Marvin Miller with help from Messersmith and McNally (see Ohtani, Shohei)
I was reading about this earlier. I’m more of a baseball fan but it’s still not clear to me how blackouts will work. I swear the MLB office is intent on having no eyeballs under the age of 82 on the sport in the next 10 years
With the way he got hit just as he was turning I’m willing to say that 7 out of 10 players would’ve fumbled there. I’m so grateful he was part of the 30%.
Just for conversation sake I think it would be the opposite. Orji hasn’t shown any real ability to throw so if you’re behind I think you’d want Tuttle whereas with a lead you could do different things running with Orji and Corum
I actually thought that the botched snap on that play hurt him. He truly didn’t know if it was meant to be a run or pass play and had to hold his ground with the timing being off. Had it been an immediate give he comes up to fill the hole and takes the space away. Unfortunate play but the defense was just so damn tough and gutsy tonight

Didn’t want to start a new thread but John Runyan Jr. just got 3 years/30 mil. Not bad for a 3 star

At one point they did set up their own governing body: the NCAA
Probably not but it would be quite the story if the dude who was named head of the whole thing lost his primary job on the same day

With all of the player movement it’s really difficult to put too much stock in these rankings anymore
Apparently the CFP Committee doesn’t read MGOBLOG

Well, technically that’s pay for play and with the hard on the NCAA has for us I’m sure they’d reference your blog post if JJ came back
