If I had to pick one, Hagelin gets in, if it's straight up or down votes on all five, then he and Hunwick get in.  To me, this honor needs to be about something larger than just on ice contributions.  If this is just a "greatest players" honor that's kind of pointless.  The inductees have to mean something larger to the Michigan fandom and/or be obvious leaders.  They have to emblematic.  Which is why Hart's getting my vote for football and why we're all voting for Novak in basketball.

Honestly, I'd put JMFJ's dad in before JMFJ himself for the second intermission dancing tradition.

Hensick and Porter are both really talented, but even though I was actually in school for all of Hensick's and 3/4 of Porter's careers, I feel like there wasn't anything that wasn't between the whistles (like the flags, or Hunwick's general story, or Novak's aneurysm of leadership, or pretty much everything Hart ever said) that I could point to as being awesome.

Absolutely, I think they used to, too.  Pretty sure the famous Cornell series that really triggered Yost's insanity was a best of three in Ann Arbor.  And there's a week off between the regionals and Frozen Four, so at the very least could make it best of three those consecutive weekends and a single elim Frozen Four.  Don't encoach on extra class time or extend the season.

Yeah, the forwards did not exactly do their jobs either, but Merrill did nothing to get back in the play after overcommitting and he was shit all night.

There's a reason Brian calls it weighted Plinko.  It's not even really weighted.  Any single hockey game is so overwhelmingly controlled by random bounces, a bizarrely hot goalie (the Air Force game), officiating gaffes (two years ago vs. Miami, the second goal tonight), people having the worst game of their career (Merill tonight, Sauer vs. ND in '08 when we had the best team), that this shit is just random.  So under the current format, even if you assume we're the best team every year, you've got no more than like a 15% shot at the title (if you think every game is 60-40 in our favor it would be 13%).  It'd be nice if we were a bit luckier (like last year's title would have been had we scored the OT goal), but there's not a lot you can do.

EDIT: Though the PP has been bad for a few years now, we should get that fixed and that you can put on the staff.
