| 2 weeks 6 days ago | Definitely Agree, but what I haven't seen mentioned is |
the 85 man scholarship limit. Remember, back when Bo was coaching they had 105 scholarships until 1978. From 1978 to 1992 they had 95; from 1992-1994 they reduced that number down to 85. |

For this game and the way he played today! |
| 12 weeks 6 days ago | One Could Also argue... |
that Saban started the whole ESSS EEE SEEE revival when he first got to LSU. If you look at old interviews when he first got there, he came out and said the first thing he knew he needed to do was "re-vamp the recruiting strategy" and overhaul the roster. His dubious roster management techniques were duplicated at other SEC West schools and it literally has been an "arms race" ever since. |

Our H.S. team this year has the # 1 or #2 rated RB in the state (depending on the rankings) and a high 3*/low 4* QB both committed to Alabama. In addition, there are 3-4 linemen that have committed to play at Georgia, Tennessee and other D-1 Schools. As the OP said, there is no off-season and even middle school students are "highl encouraged" to attend off-season conditioning. |

this should be a new MGOShirt or next season |
| 19 weeks 5 days ago | Agreed.... |
any sort of capable competition is good. It will be interesting to see where the trade-off lies. We might not get 10-15 channels for $30, but would you pay $50 or $55 for 200, 250, or 300 channels? |
| 19 weeks 5 days ago | I apologize in advance for this question.. |
I was traveling and only caught the second half of the game....but, where was Demens? Did he get injured? I didn't see him in there. |

application is not a given or done deal? |
| 24 weeks 6 days ago | Green or Ty Isaac? |
Which one would we prefer or think has better upside? |
| 26 weeks 3 days ago | I know we can't play "what if" games, but I |
still wonder how things would have turned out if Martin redshirted his freshman year and was playing on this team. In addition, it is too bad Roh and BWC weren't redhirted their freshman year so they could be back next year to anchor the line. I still cringe when I think about BWC burning his redshirt on the extra point team. |

painter's caps? I remember those things! I was there from '89-'93 and the fashion wasn't much better. |
| 27 weeks 4 days ago | We can say all we want about Smith's.. |
inside running ability, but he is one hell of a blocker. On the last pass to Dileo, he got a great block on the blitzing backer. If he doesn't, Gardner is toast and there is no way he is able to pass the ball. I will miss his toughness next year! |
| 28 weeks 3 hours ago | Cool... |
thanks for the info. -- I never played defense so I wouldn't know how to evaluate what is or isn't "technically correct"about his play. I just know that I see him flying around making plays! |
| 28 weeks 4 hours ago | Question about JMFR.... |
Hoke and Mattison say that his playing is "unorthodox" .... Does anyone know what they find unorthodox about his playing style? Is it technique? The only thing I see is a heat seeking missle with a high motor and Thor-like glorious blond flow. |
| 29 weeks 3 days ago | I agree that it is Kovacs and Roh.... |
but I shake my fist in anger at the coaching staff for using Will Campbell on special teams and garbage time during his Freshman year and burning his redshirt. I think if he was able to come back for a 5th year he'd be really good. |

| 29 weeks 6 days ago | I wonder if this will come up in the UFR.. |
But on the second to last drive when we had 3rd down and 22, DR stepped up in the pocket and had all kinds of daylight in front of him (at least 15-20 yards.) Instead, he tried to throw it long to Jackson and we had to punt. Had he kept the ball and ran on that 3rd and 22, we would have surely been in field goal range and he may have even got the 1st down and kept the drive alive. |

Hell,
He can have blondes, redheads, MILFs, raven-haired beauties.....whomever he pleases tonight!!!!! He deserves it!

| 31 weeks 4 days ago | The thing that jumps out at me on film is Ryan's |
closing speed to the ball. When he gets around the ball it looks like someone pressed "Fast Forward" for him while everyone else is just in "play" mode. I go back and watch "that play" in the Sugar Bowl and am amazed at how the VT RB looks like he is in slow motion compared to Ryan.

| 33 weeks 6 days ago | I love this comment................ |
"Vedder said he has attended catered parties thrown by Gee both at Ohio State and Vanderbilt. “He thinks he’s in a special category by himself,” Vedder said of Gee. “In public service, that is kind of grating and I would think it would be grating on the public if they knew about it.” |

the Notre Dame hottie on the verge of tears as Tate is driving for the winning score. |
| 40 weeks 1 day ago | I am 41 and this is the first game |
I remember watching with my dad. I was 8 years old and my dad had a bunch of friends over and I vividly remember the string of f-bombs hurled at the tv. What made it worse was that they kept showing the replay over and over that clearly showed he had not crossed the goal line. |
| 43 weeks 6 hours ago | IF Penn St. Gets Booted from the conference, |
and I am not saying they are, it would not surprise me if Delaney has been having ongoing back room conversations with Notre Dame to join. Again, merely conjecture on my part, but it would not shock me if this is what happens. |
| 43 weeks 5 days ago | I am not sure how PSU's Athletic Dept. is funded, |
but if you nuke the football team, would you also need ot nuke all of the other sports? If PSU is like UM, Ohio, Texas, etc. then football pays for all of the other sports. Does anyone know how their budget is structured? Does the athletic dept. receive financing from the university? If they do ban the football program and the rest of the athletic dept., how does the NCAA handle the eligibility status of the football players and the rest of the student athletes? More questions than answers, I know. Secondly, the funniest part of the Alabama/Auburn link is the comments section. To Brian's point, no one seems to realize just what Copeland said - that Alabama pays people but Auburn's boosters pay more. |
