Luckily, we're not msu (on so many levels), so it's unlikely we'll wear non-Michigan colors. Remember when they had those black and gold uniforms? Or the ones with neon green font (which I think they might still wear)?

How is the home team decided? I thought it would be based on the better record, does it alternate years between divisions?

The latter, it alternates and the East is home this year.

It alternates between the two divisions. Last year, Michigan was the "road" team which obviously wouldn't make sense based on record. In 2020, OSU wore their home red/grey versus Northwestern, but in 2019 wore their road white/grey against Wisconsin.

I believe M will be the home team this year. If so, I would like to see the traditional blue jersey with maize pants and then the all maize accessories. The all maize accessories look great with any uni combo

I like that look as well. One of my favorites were the units worn for PSU last year: white jersey, maize pants, maize accessories. The look of maize from waist to ankle just looks fantastic.

Same here. The yoga pants/unitard look is bad and I would prefer we don't do it. Socks should contrast with pants, please and thank you.

I totally get the attention the uniforms get during the year, and I know it's something that keeps the kids excited and gets involved with recruiting, etc etc. But for this game, I would hope this is a last concern. One team stands in our way to a National Championship semi-final football game. So, I'll internalize my best Marisa Tomei from "My Cousin Vinny" in an paraphrased quote:
Now I axe ya...would you give a f$#k what color pants the sonofabitch who ran over you was wearin???

Disagree. If you're forced to wear something you don't like, you become self-conscious about it. Say your wife tells you to wear a tie under a sweater vest with skinny jeans. You don't like it, so you won't be at your best socially (well, you better not like it). What if your girlfriend says she'd like you in a manbun? Nope, time for a new GF.
