My Irish genes really came in handy. They allowed me to drink an incredible amount of alcohol with very few negative effects. Though it took a long time and a lot of alcohol to get buzzed.
At least your ancestors came to the US because of the potato famine. Half of my ancestors are from Ireland as well and I'm glad they left for Boston in the 1860s.
Odds are we will end up with Josh, From a couple ISU games I have watched his team fundamentals looked good. If Marshall was not abusive to his players, he did well at Wichita State. I met him at an auction in Wichita 12 years ago. He really liked Michigan. He seem like a nice guy but sometimes those nice guys are not nice at all.
After a promising start, too bad it did not work out. All the best to Howard in his future endeavors. Hopefully the AD will hire a good coach who can rebuild this team.
I think JJ is great at running a pro offense, not like others, who ran a pass happy college offense. My only concern is that JJ's longball accuracy is not the best. CJ was our long ball WR and he was used mostly as an under 20 yard route runner.
I liked the book series "A song of ice and fire" by Martin. I never watched the game of thrones. Reading a series called "The Last Kingdom" by Cornwall. I read Dune as a teenager but my favorite scifi book as a teenager was "Battle Field Earth" by Hubbard. A lot of the classics I read in High School and college were also great. I may re-read them once I retire.
Dude, Stalions was stealing signs, real time for CMU. Since it was a Friday night game, he was moonlighting and explains his disguise to hide himself from Michigan finding out. There's no way in hell that CMU would let Stalions on to the sideline if he was not working for them. Anyways, most teams change their signs multiple time through the season, since some can diagnose signs through game film or even network television.
We would not care if MSU was stealing our signs, since we would still beat the shit out of them, 49-0!
Yes, you are correct. So we go a Fab 0 this past recruiting cycle. I doubt anyone good would want to portal to this team. I feel sorry for Howard, he was off to a good start and recruited well but all his superstars only played one year then left for the NBA.
Howard will get another year, but I think it will be his last! Dug most likely will enter the portal. Only way Howard survives if he can get some good players through the portal, or he recruits another fab 5!
What will Howard have to do next year to keep his job? Finish .500, make the NIT, make the NCAA. I think the bar will be set low for him next year. May be .500 overall and at least a .400 conference record. If no improvement, then he will probably be a goner at the end of the 2024-2025 season.
If I was born on a leap day, I would only be 15. I only have one more leap year day left before I retire. I would still like to work half the year and have half the year off when I retire.
But younger people can use Colongaurd. Crap in a box and send it in to get tested. If it is positive, you insurance company will probably pay for a colonoscopy.
Everyone should but the old rule was to wait until you are 50 before your first colonoscopy. But some people can develop polyps in their 20s and it only takes 10 years to develop colon cancer. I would get one by 40 and if you have a family history than 30.
Stallions was working for CMU not Michigan. They would never let him dress up as a CMU coach and run the sidelines. He was legally diagnosing signs for CMU and his disguise was to prevent Michigan from finding out he was moonlighting. It is the only thing that make sense. CMU would never let a Michigan coach run the sidelines like that. CMU paid him for that game. So how does Michigan prevent someone secretly moonlighting to make money? So, no there is not a level 1 violation. The suspension of Harbaugh for 3 games by the B1G was complete bullshit, since Michigan fired Stallions as soon as the NCAA/B1G told them about Stallions paying friends to take cell phone video of games (something that did not help in anyway) Our toughest games we did not have Stallions diagnosing signs. Partridge was fired because he coached kids what to say to investigators, not because he had any of Stallions sign stealing junk.
The NCAA just a likes to bully schools that will comply, like Michigan. Sign gate would have been a nothing burger at Alabama and Alabama would tell the NCAA to go fuck off, like they have done before when they paid recruits before NIL.
I was a junior in high school and remember watching the tape delayed version. Ch.9 in Windsor may have shown it live? But before the internet nobody really knew the score before the tape delayed telecast. The 79 Michigan season had the exciting last second win against IU but overall a disappointing season. ND won at the big house with a game wining FG. Then Michigan had losses on the road to Purdue, at home against OSU, and to NC in the Gator Bowl.
This team will be a running the ball a lot with a great defense. Much like the '97 team. We were ranked around number 15 in the preseason polls and everyone was predicting another 4 loss season for Carr. Most thought Brian was just an average B1G QB and most missed the fact we had an elite defense. So, if our starting QB can be an average B1G QB we could be in great shape. Back in '97 Colorado was number 8 in the country and the line was UM +6 at home and we whipped them 27-3. Everyone thought we would lose 3 of the next several games against ND, MSU, Iowa, WI, and OSU. So, I see a better chance this season making it to the playoffs than in 25.
I see Howard getting one more season. I hope he can turn the program around but he will have to get more talented players in to really improve next season. Odds are he may only win a few more games next season.
The offense may be better but too many studs on defense will be going to the NFL. I'm sure we'll have some good player development on defense but it may not be the elite level. We may only win 8 games in 2025. I think this may best chance to reach the playoffs, before the full rebuild occur in 25 and 26.
A lot of Michigan's success will be dependent on how well the new QB performs. I kind of wish we had gotten a good QB and a stud WR from the portal. If Orgi can improve his 10 to 20 yard passing game, I think he will be the starter. The floor will be 8 wins and it is possible to go undefeated. Odds are we win 9 or 10 games.
number 5 seems about right. Our D will be good but our offense may take a step back with JJ leaving for the NFL. However, the 2024 team reminds me a lot of the '97 team. So a NC is still possible.
UGA is after Grant. I think Grant will stay with us and help coach Moore. We could use a fast, quick 6'5 wideout. I wonder if we could pick one off from another team?

I miss not watching good Michigan basketball the past 2 seasons. It helped fill in the gap between football seasons.

Sunday is the worse day for drinking because I work at 6 am on Monday. No Irish car bombs Today.

LOL, I meant 0.06/
Did he blow under a 0.6? 0.6-0.77 is a DUI and over 0.80 a DWI? I forgot the Michigan breathalizer criteria.
Not good for a coach of young student athletes. Not the example you want to set.

I was hoping Hart would come back as RB coach. But it here is friction with the program or with the HC, it may be best for him to go his separate way.

Will the entire team be going to the WH? NC always are invited.

Good ole tacopants. I hope he never returns!
I wish I had Wilson's problem. I could see him making some extra bank just being a backup 2nd or 3rd string QB.

Michigan needs a big NIL cannon to keep their good players and get some players of need, like a QB, like the failed to do so far!

My last colonoscopy a year ago was with these laxative pills. No plastic jugs with 2 pouches of powder to mix in the jug. Prep was much, much easier.
My last colonoscopy was much better, with just laxatives. My first two were with the 2 full jugs, just awful trying to drink all of that stuff.

Little dick!
I’ll give it hem an A for effort but not many good players on the team! Hard to believe that next year could be worse!
It is still a big downgrade from JJ. Even if a few good QB enter the portal, I doubt Michigan will spend the $$$ to get them on the team.
We only lost one good player. But NCAA gave us another good player by granting one more season.
Only to certain schools that allow the NCAA to carry out their punishment.
Fire those big NIL cannons Michigan. What the hell are you waiting for!

NCAA already knows not to mess with SEC teams.
Do they have the power to fire Warde? That could be a good thing.
NU bench is whipping our starters!
I doubt they will win any of th m. This poor performance by Howard down the stretch should LF cost him his job here!
Will this team improve next season? I doubt it! I could see Dug existing thru the portal!
That means Hart will be back with the team!
M playing well. Too bad they can’t keep it up and NW will surge back, but who knows may be they can pull the upset on the road?

When is Michigan going to start dropping bags of money to pick off some top players from other teams?
