3 weeks 17 hours ago	Actually, Minnesota people	Actually, Minnesota people refer to the Univ. of Minnesota as "the U of M" or simply "the U" (ntu).  Only in Michigan do people drop "the" when saying "U of M," which is kind of ironic since "the" is officially part of the name of The University of Michigan, whereas with Minnesota it is not.  The more you know.
