Yeah, Collins is a pretty solid in-state option—not the biggest guy, but very athletic and good in space. Michigan is in contact with him, so we'll see what happens, but Farmington Hills Harrison is traditionally a MSU feeder school despite the commitments of Funchess and Ojemudia (though those two show that there are very much exceptions to the rule). |

Not sure how the scholarship numbers work out, but I'd have to assume Michigan would have no issue taking two five-star guys on the D-line. Hand is being recruited by everybody, however, so he'll be a very tough pull. |

I didn't advocate the bowls disappearing entirely—though I think major reform is needed so they stop fleecing the participating schools while ducking taxes—just that they shouldn't be determining factors when coming up with a national champion. I want to see a small (4-6 teams) playoff, so there are still plenty of worthy teams left over for the bowls to remain. |

I don't know if I'd say that. While the ADs are certainly complicit, Delany fetishizes the Rose Bowl more than anyone I've ever heard, to the point that he actively hurts his conference's competitiveness to preserve the bowls. |
| 1 week 1 day ago | Michigan is in the top four |
Michigan is in the top four for Wilkins and in Green's top group as well, though he's favoring Clemson. Given that much of Michigan's attention has been on Isaac recently, I think they have a decent shot at landing one of those two if the coaches make a strong push. |
| 1 week 1 day ago | We'll see—I don't think Allen |
We'll see—I don't think Allen has said anything about what type of track program he's looking for, just that he wants to at least try playing both sports in his first year and go from there. If he does want to go to a big-time track program, that unfortunately gives a bigger advantage to the Pac-12 schools (better track conference, and they already have home-region advantage). I don't see any reason why he couldn't run track here if he wanted to. I'm sure that's something he'd work out with the coaches before he accepted an offer. |
| 1 week 1 day ago | Allen is taking things slow |
Allen is taking things slow because of track season, which is taking up most of his time and focus right now—he's one of the fastest guys in the country and wants to run track in college as well, though football is his first priority. He hadn't begun to narrow down his list before track, and I don't expect he'll do so until he starts taking visits this summer; so far, he's only been able to see schools on the West Coast. |
| 2 weeks 20 min ago | Definitely this. Even though |
Definitely this. Even though Michigan filled in a lot on the D-line last year, the depth above the freshmen is pretty lacking (LINK), and by bringing in a player in the '13 class Michigan can potentially spread some depth across three graduating classes ('12 guys who don't redshirt, '12 guys who redshirt, '13 recruit presumably redshirting). On either line, having extra bodies is always a plus. |
