Moderator Action Sticky 2020

TIMMMAAY, BoFan, ShopSmart---how bout chillin a bit, I banned "doggy10"  and 4 others well over a couple hours ago.  Maybe I didn't word my previous reply to you, TIMMMAAY, as well as I could/should have.  My point wasn't that I'm not going to ban him, it was that I had not seen any complaints about that particular account nor had I seen his posts myself, until you posted that link.

My point I was trying to make when I posted something like  "I can't ban what I don't see" is that there's no way I can possibly go through each and every thread, every post, numerous times.  And yes, the toughest threads are most often the ones that end up with 100+ posts that actively are getting threaded replies which go off on tangents. For instance, I might read or skim through an entire 100-200 (or more!) posts only to find a couple hours later that it has mushroomed to 300-400 posts  with replies on each and every page.  You all gotta realize that this means skimming again and again thru each and every page over and over at least until it falls off the front page or two of the board.  Even a link to an offending post takes time to search out: for instance the ones posted in the sticky today were mostly buried deep in each thread, the one TIMMMAAY linked was on page 4 of a 5-page thread.  Needle in a haystack, y'all?

At best, if I have every day off work and spend hours each day on the blog I might have time to read 25% of the board. Right now it's closer to 10% because I still do have a full-time job and a life that includes family and friends and yes, even occasionally some sleep.  I took most of this holiday weekend off the board and off work, instead spending time up north, including meeting Seth (great guy, spent a couple hours in conversation with him including a discussion about the MGoBoard itself) up in Beulah MI at the HTTV event, visiting XM's farm which was another lonnnng drive away, then spending the rest of Saturday and all of Sunday visiting my elderly aunt and uncle and numerous other relatives at their cottages near Baldwin.

If this board had a way to notify me of locations of new posts, it would be much easier to patrol.  That's why I depend so much on being notified here on the "mod sticky" with clickable links.  At very least, I'll research and either ban or physically write down their username on my "watch list".

PLEASE, continue to notify the mods here.  It really does help!  Though I won't guarantee a particular user will get banned until I investigate (EXCEPTION: the 3 am "massacre" about a week ago when I banned 9 accounts with practically no investigation of the individuals because I was majorly PISSED), it'll get my attention, and when possible and practical, a reply.

Have patience, please.

After combing thru the OP's other posts I did something to his account that I think will at least prevent him from starting any more new threads.

I'm going to be monitoring his account extremely closely to see if the "mod buttons" I used on his account effectively take care of the problem.  He may yet get banned, though. 

If you were/are Wolverine91 with a join date of 1/12/14, I'm nearly 100% certain you were NOT banned. I know I didn't ban you and I was immediately able to click on your name and see all your posts. 

As I'm getting ready to go visit my daughter and granddaughter, I'll take a deeper look into it tomorrow, but right now not seeing a problem with that user account.
