Collapsed In A Heap Breathing Slowly Trying To Figure Out If You're Still Alive Muppets Comment Count

Uh… well… I think so.

And you can't have one without the other…

I'm going to go deflate over here now.

Let's see,

  • Your arch-rival (in an of itself nearly muppet worthy)
  • A must-win home game
  • Back and forth, high-intensity, classic bball game
  • Overtime thriller with 2 point win to Michigan
  • Aforementioned win against Top 10 team
  • First meeting between them when they are Top 10
  • Thad Matta was 17-3 against us coming into the game

I think it passes the muppet test, you may get off your high horse now and be a little bit excited.

So Michigan is ranked this highly for the first time since you were shitting your diapers, but you're acting like we're Duke or Kansas and have been doing this for years. The problem isn't the Muppets, it's that your arrogant expectations have completely outrun reality.

This Michigan team—and program—still has plenty of games to win before we can consider ourselves a solid, year-to-year member of basketball's elite. Being ranked #1 or #3 midseason is great, but plenty of teams have done that over the years only to have been proven to be a momentary flash in the pan. The real test is how the entire season goes, including post-season. That's why this game was so important.

1. The win 2. That Aaron Kraft looked like a complete d-bag tool sitting on the floor waiting for a call at the end. Or 3. That those maize shoes were the sickest kicks ever worn by a M team. My son will be wearing those at his next ball game. Good thing Herm was in bed by 7:30 or he'd have had a grabber seeing those unis.

Or a gif of the "foul" that got Thomas to the line on his jumper from the stripe?

Or a gif of the flagrant that they'll never call in that situation because the rulebook gets tossed in OT.  Because it was and it does.

Or the fact that if they did call a foul it was on Burke and it was well before the shot and they weren't in the bonus. They would have had to throw up a desperation shot at the buzzer.

The refs let them play all game and there were calls all game that could have went either way. They called it both ways.

Him: Or lucky.

Him: Not lucky. Great play.

in football and basketball deserves muppets.

I couldn't stand during the game - my knees were shaking so bad and my stomach was doing flips.
