I will never understand why…

I will never understand why anyone would run 2 man routes.  It makes it so easy on the defense.

To beat a JH coached team…

To beat a JH coached team you just have to stop the run.  He doesn't know what to do if you stop the run.  A simple RB screen or a couple pop passes would have held OSU's LB's back.  I felt like they blitzed every play and Harbaugh didn't do anything to counter it.

I like Matthews, but a 6'6"

I like Matthews, but a 6'6" forward who cannot shoot from outside the FT line is going to have a very short pro career.  He would really benefit from coming back and working on his shot.

Crawford is the shortest

Crawford is the shortest outside receiver that we have.  Black, DPJ, and Nico are all taller and more talented than Crawford.  I hope you are right though.

I think you can request

I think you can request larger beds depending on the school.  I remember in the Amazon Doc Harbaugh was talking to James Hudson on move in day and he asked him "Is that the extra long bed?"

I'm sure the Raiders will

I'm sure the Raiders will make him take frequent tests to make sure he is healthy.  Things were a lot different back then.  Teams are held to a higher standard now when it comes to health conditions,  especially the NFL.

Hank Geathers also quit

Hank Geathers also quit taking the medicine because he thought it was affecting his play.  He also, skipped doctors appointments.

If Hurst monitors it he should be fine.

Harvard/Michigan wouldn't clear him if they didn't think he was fine.  It would be horrible for PR if they cleared him and something ended up happening.

He's had this issue his whole

He's had this issue his whole life and played HS and college football at the highest level.  I'm sure he will be fine.

I couldn't imagine living in

I couldn't imagine living in a world where Les Miles son isn't a Fullback.  Everything makes so much sense.

I've said it before and I'll

I've said it before and I'll say it again... Who in the hell would want to go to MSU right now?

Different players react

Different players react differently.  Maybe Hill isn't a guy that responds well to being pulled aside and coddled.  Maybe he responds better when he is challenged.  Zordich did this exact same thing last year and it turned out just fine.

College players aren't making a substantial amout of money (unless their in the $EC) but they are going to school for free and using one of the 85 scholarships allowed.

Bottom line, I think Zordich knows how to motivate his players.

Agreed

He did something similar to this last year.  He publicly called players out because they weren't working hard in practice.  Players stepped up and turned into the best CB duo in the B1G and maybe the country.  He knows what he is doing.

That's the problem.  One guy

That's the problem.  One guy going down shouldn't impact your Oline for 2 years.  You have to build depth.  You need at least 2 guys at each position of the Oline that are ready to play.  We have hardly had 2 TOTAL OT's ready to play.

It's assumed that we lead for

It's assumed that we lead for Hinton because his brother is committed.  He has said multiple times that he doesn't have a leader and that where his brother goes doesn't necessarily have an impact on him.

It's a long way until signing day and the older Hinton isn't a guarantee.  He is a 5-star from the south, its going to be a battle until the end.

There was a tweet that said

There was a tweet that said something about "concealed carry" in Michigan.  I would say say it's more than a kid being a little frustrated.

Kevin???

Kevin???

JT Barrett had surgery on his

JT Barrett had surgery on his after the Michigan game and was back by the Conference Championship game.  It isn't really a serious injury.

This is a Chat Sports guy

This is a Chat Sports guy that reported this.  I would wait to see what the real insiders say before I adjust plans.

Like any legal battle they

Like any legal battle they need to get both sides of the story.  If they only listened to Michigan it would be a pretty easy case.

The QB position is a little

The QB position is a little different others.  I would say that that is the one position where the combine can be useless outside of the interviews/throwing portion.

I don't necessarily agree

I don't necessarily agree with the way that he handled the situation, but I definitely think this is shitty on GT's part.

Wilcher got a group of 100 players to go down to Atlanta to visit GT and they couldn't even take some time out of their practice prep to talk to the group?  I feel like that's disrespectful to the kids who paid money to go down there to visit (Even though I assume they were visiting multiple schools.)

Also, I doubt any players will want to go to a school when their coaches don't introduce themselves to the players when they visit so it's not a good look on the recruiting front.

Right.  Good measurables and

Right.  Good measurables and good times don't always correlate to on field performance, but I think it is a good measure of a players ceiling.  A player with worse times is going to be more limited than someone like DPJ who has great times and measurables.

I would like to see this years times to see the Herbert Effect.

It helps guage a players

It helps guage a players ceiling.  If a player tests well in gym/weight room it shows coaches what they are working with.

For example, Grant Perry was a better receiver than DPJ last year, but DPJ's ceiling is a lot higher because of his measurements and athleticism.  That doesn't necessarily mean he will be better, but gives the coaches an idea of what they are working with.

I don't understand why a

I don't understand why a school would accept a committment from a guy after he already decommitted from them twice.

This Jabroni frequently

This Jabroni frequently ignores facts or twists things around to fit his narritive.  I've yet to see any hard facts from him.  His argument is  "Some guys got paid so therefore everyone got paid."

I'm sure Shea took into

I'm sure Shea took into consideration that the recruiting services deemed him a "Pro-Style" QB when making his decision.  He knows his skill set a lot better than any recruiting service and he is clearly a Dual Threat guy.

There is nothing sketchy about recruits leaving the state.  It literally happens all of the time.  Especially since they are from the same region.  It's not like he went acrossed the country to play football.

You keep bringing up the fact that his brother left to go to Ole Miss the same time that he was being recruited.  That wasn't against the rules.  His brother left LSU the week before he committed so it was probably already in the works.  Did the Patterson's use Shea's commitment as leverage to get his brother a job?  Probably, but once again, that doesn't break and NCAA rules.

The due diligence part wouldn't just be for Harbaugh.  You don't think Warde didn't have the compliance dept look into it?  This would look bad for him as well and he clearly knows the circumstances.

Your argument is fully based on assumptions.  You assume that since a couple guys were receiving benefits then everyone was.  Recruiting is often a chain reaction and the hot teams get recruits.  Ole Miss got hot by cheating in 2013-2014 recruits noticed and started heading there.  Other recruits notice which teams are putting together good classes and they want to join.

-The school that you are

-The school that you are referring to (LSU) is one of the "five" schools that run an offense that doesn't fit his skill set.

-The year prior he watched Chad Kelly (similar skillset) dominate the SEC.

-Yes, his brother got hired by Ole Miss.  That wasn't against any NCAA rules.  So is Devin Bush's recruitment sketchy because his dad was hired by Michigan?

-What is odd about his recruitment other than the fact that his brother was hired at the school?  (Not a violation)

-Another part of your argument is that EVERY 5* they got was being paid.  Where is the evidence to this?  Did some players receive benefits?  Yes.  That doesn't mean every 5* that signed with Ole Miss received benefits.  You are making assumptions.

-Once again.  Harbaugh and the University of Michigan aren't going to accept a kid from a program that is in the middle of getting sanctions without doing their due diligence.  It would bring a black cloud over the program if someone found out we took in a player that received improper benefits and he would likely be deemed ineligible anyways.

-Wouldn't Michigan be worried that their own report might uncover their player getting paid?

Good Lord.
Don't you think

Good Lord.

Don't you think Michigan would have looked into this before they offered him as a transfer?

1.  They aren't going to offer a kid a transfer spot if there is even a small chance that he was receiving any kind of improper benefits.

2.  They were pretty good when he signed there.  It's not like he randomly signed with a shitty school from a small conference.

3.  LSU has had some pretty shitty QB play in recent times.

4.  In 2015, the year before he signed, Ole Miss finished 2nd in their division while LSU finished 4th.

5.  Ole Miss runs an offense that is better suited for his skillset.

I think he knew they were

I think he knew they were dirty, but didn't know the extent.  The players cases are that the staff told them that the punishment wasn't going to be harsh while they were recruiting them.  I assume the coaches were telling recruits that they would just lose some scholarships and get a slap on the wrist.  In reality they got a 2 year bowl ban and other things.

Take out the names and this

Take out the names and this can be used as an analysis for our football team.  Weird how that works.

Weird...

My Uber told me that Gentry was switching back to QB and McCaffrey was moving to TE to take Gentry's reps.  Apparently the depth chart is: 1. Gentry  2. Sessa 3. Jacob West 4. Gary 5. Dwumfor.

Thats not his role.  He knows

Thats not his role.  He knows his role is to play defense and rebound.  I would understand if he shot 0-10 or 1-10 every game, but he didn't he knew his role and he played it.

1.  Teske played huge and

1.  Teske played huge and should definitely get a chance to crack the depth chart at the 5.  Especially since one of them is a 4.

2.  Why don't you give Zavier the next 6-7 months to work on his free throw/ 3pt. shot.  He's a good player. Don't write him off yet.

The incoming class is very good, but for you to write off all of these players that just played key parts in a Final 4 run is ridiculous.

Origionally I thought he was

Origionally I thought he was definitely gone, but the more I think about it I think there is a decent chance he stays.  This years draft class is loaded, especially at the 4/5 where Moe will play.

I wonder how much of this was

I wonder how much of this was confusion due to the plays and line calls.  Based on some interviews with Warinner it sounds like his main focus is simplifying everything and teaching terminology.  Makes me believe that maybe last year there was a lot of confusion among the OL.

FWIW, last year Moe Ways was

FWIW, last year Moe Ways was running with the ones at this point in time.  I think Harbaugh likes to give the vets the first shot to prove themselves.

Yep, still not sad.  Don't

Yep, still not sad.  Don't feel bad for him.  If you are a scumbag you deserve to get treated like a scumbag.  The guy deserves to rot.

I start to feel bad for

I start to feel bad for college athletes until the 11th of every month when a sum of money gets taken from my bank account to pay my student loans.  Maybe the alternative should be that athletes don't get scholarships, but get paid a salary instead.  That would certaintly change some minds.

I don't find this sad at

I don't find this sad at all.  If the guy was covering up rape/sexual assault the guy is a scumbag and deserves everything that's coming to him.

He put a lot of effort into

He put a lot of effort into the texts.  Just didn't execute.

"New kid (name?) can really

"New kid (name?) can really run but is relatively new to football so this spring is all about learning for him."

I assume it's True Frosh Taylor Upshaw.  He is an EE that just started playing football last year or the year before.

JKP

I always forget about JKP.  That's a solid pick.

TRUTV

I know this was an issue last year as well, but does TRUTV not have HD?  I've only had standard definition with my last 2 providers.  I wasn't sure if its the package I have or if its TRUTV.

Their camera angle always looks bad as well.
