If peters and Speight are out

which is distinct possibility, who will be the back up QB? Malzone? Has he played in a game and if so has he thrown a pass?

I very much doubt they will play McCaffery and burn his redshirt.

It sucks right now, but when you look back at this, 8-4 or maybe even 9-3 isn't going to look bad for a rebuilding year within a rebuilding process.   It will take the full five years to repair David Brandon's damage to the team.

Next year should be better, but I think 2019 is going to be the year when it becomes obvious that Michigan is fully loaded and poised to be a championship contender for the foreseeable future.

It sucks when you have to be patient, but there are much worse things that can happen.  Like 3-9 in a coach's tenth year, for example.

I think the offense is going to play angry and execute better next year.  In the offseason he needs to replay the hits on the QB's and really challenge the OL to keep them alive next year.

Or just open so many holes we rarely pass.  I just don't see the OL in a happy place next year yet though sadly.

He's going through the concussion protocol and while it's absolutey possible he gets cleared this week it doesn't seem likely given that hit.. I'd be shocked if he was ready for OSU. So yeah, we're even more fucked that we'd have been even if he did play.

I wouldn't be shocked because head injuries are completely unpredictable. Getting knocked out doesn't mean the severity of the head injury is inherently worse. So far this year we've had Eubanks, Evans, and Lavert Hill all in concussion protocol that I know of. All three had different results in terms of time missed.

Crazy when your third string QB is playing(who was debatedly your second string), then he goes down.  And you have no Offensive tackles and top WR and RB are injured.

Apparantly it affects the passing game, who knew.  Agreed though, he's been very quiet.
