Malzone.

Ok, probably not, but it’d sure be fun to watch an athletic TE/flex run zone read, then pull back and sling a few.
Wildcat Gentry might be fun too.

That made me smile :)

outside the box. At 6' 7'', Zach could probably see the whole field too.
November 21st, 2017 at 9:36 AM ^
Gentry QBing a triple option ofense is the way to go. Go full Georgia Tech with Higdon and Evans as the wing backs and Walker/Hill as the dive threat. Hit DPJ deep 3 times for 125 yards and 3 TDs.
November 20th, 2017 at 6:26 PM ^
I probably won’t watch past the 1st qtr.
November 20th, 2017 at 6:26 PM ^
Harbaugh will probably ask you to go in.
November 20th, 2017 at 6:27 PM ^
We are even more fucked. And right now we are pretty damn fucked already so this would register a solid 100 on the urfucked-ometer.
November 20th, 2017 at 6:53 PM ^
I think you are underestimating the severity of the situation.
November 20th, 2017 at 7:36 PM ^
eye contact or not
November 20th, 2017 at 7:40 PM ^
...could play QB for UM on Saturday.
November 20th, 2017 at 8:12 PM ^
He's not doing anything else.

unfit for any life form, except for maybe the toothless tweaker dudes you meet on Tinder
November 21st, 2017 at 1:58 AM ^
It sucks right now, but when you look back at this, 8-4 or maybe even 9-3 isn't going to look bad for a rebuilding year within a rebuilding process. It will take the full five years to repair David Brandon's damage to the team.
Next year should be better, but I think 2019 is going to be the year when it becomes obvious that Michigan is fully loaded and poised to be a championship contender for the foreseeable future.
It sucks when you have to be patient, but there are much worse things that can happen. Like 3-9 in a coach's tenth year, for example.
November 21st, 2017 at 9:33 AM ^
I think the offense is going to play angry and execute better next year. In the offseason he needs to replay the hits on the QB's and really challenge the OL to keep them alive next year.
Or just open so many holes we rarely pass. I just don't see the OL in a happy place next year yet though sadly.
November 21st, 2017 at 10:49 AM ^
I see we have moved beyond "next year" all the way a pre-emptive "two years from now."

we get a fun size Snickers...so I guess there is that.

I still have one from Sandusky.
November 20th, 2017 at 6:27 PM ^
I believe he had a few handoffs to Samuels in one of the blowouts, maybe Minnesota
November 20th, 2017 at 6:41 PM ^
he was in at the end against Minnesota.
November 20th, 2017 at 6:27 PM ^
Brian Cleary, obviously.
November 20th, 2017 at 6:38 PM ^
Clearly
November 20th, 2017 at 7:11 PM ^
Surely, Cleary is clearly the backup.
November 21st, 2017 at 12:17 AM ^
He is, and don't call him Shirley
November 20th, 2017 at 7:37 PM ^
You don't get chances like that too often
November 20th, 2017 at 6:27 PM ^
I assumed, wrongfully apparently, that Peters was symptom free, so he would start. No?
November 20th, 2017 at 6:33 PM ^
It was reported Peters had a headache after the game. Combine that with the fact that he was unconscious on the field and I think he has to be in concussion protocol.
November 20th, 2017 at 6:35 PM ^
Thanks! I must've misread a report on him.
November 20th, 2017 at 7:35 PM ^
He's going through the concussion protocol and while it's absolutey possible he gets cleared this week it doesn't seem likely given that hit.. I'd be shocked if he was ready for OSU. So yeah, we're even more fucked that we'd have been even if he did play.
November 21st, 2017 at 1:45 AM ^
I wouldn't be shocked because head injuries are completely unpredictable. Getting knocked out doesn't mean the severity of the head injury is inherently worse. So far this year we've had Eubanks, Evans, and Lavert Hill all in concussion protocol that I know of. All three had different results in terms of time missed.

for place kicks a recruited QB?
November 20th, 2017 at 6:49 PM ^
Walk-on QB
November 20th, 2017 at 7:40 PM ^
More options! I say we use him to line up for that 75 yard FG and fake for a first down; it's gotta work at least once, right?
November 21st, 2017 at 1:06 AM ^
This thread reminds me that back in August you bet me 1,000 Mgopoints that a walk-on QB would see game snaps before Malzone.
November 20th, 2017 at 6:28 PM ^
Literally, nobody on the team has completed more passes to Grant Perry than Alex Malzone. We're in good shape.
November 20th, 2017 at 8:27 PM ^
Let them go out there and play pitch and catch just like Brother Rice days, granted this isn't Catholic Central they're playing but I'm sure their rhythm would be there.
November 20th, 2017 at 9:25 PM ^
speaking of him, he has completely disappeared the last month
November 21st, 2017 at 9:38 AM ^
Crazy when your third string QB is playing(who was debatedly your second string), then he goes down. And you have no Offensive tackles and top WR and RB are injured.
Apparantly it affects the passing game, who knew. Agreed though, he's been very quiet.

And the funny thing is that everyone was way more excited about Malzone then they were about Perry at the time
November 20th, 2017 at 6:29 PM ^
Take a knee and hope the defense scores?
November 20th, 2017 at 6:54 PM ^
Honestly I question whether Michigan should throw the ball even once against OSU. Let's make sure this offensive line doesn't literally get a QB killed. I wish I was joking.
