Guess the score

And win a whole lot of nothing.

Weather looks like it might get below 30 by the time the game ends, and it will at least start around 40 per The Google. Still might not see much of what Peters can/not do yet an ascending power run game in brisk weather, plus the D (heh), is probably enough to win by 3 TDs.

I'm going 27-7 good guys.

What say you fine folks?

I want to say thank you to Inman and all of those that took the time to answer his question/debate with his trolling. That was a fun read. Distracted me from a boring day at the office for a good ten minutes or so!

35-10. Probably not the beating we're all hoping for ahead of a huge game next week.

I think Harbaugh will give Peters some chances to see what he can do through the air tomorrow against a shakey Maryland D, but he's still going to bring him along slowly and rely heavily on the ground game to put this one away. I'm guessing Peters will have a stat line like 8/13 for 165 yards and a TD.

Higdon doesn't hit the 200 mark, but he gets close. We see some more good things out of Evans and Walker tomorrow, and the running game goes for over 300 total yards again.

That has never happened with modern scoring. The two 1-pt safeties were scored by teams that had just scored a TD. For a team to score exactly one point, that teams opponent would have to score a TD. Then the Team that scored would have to somehow wind up with possession of the ball back in its own end zone. That could happen, in reality, one of two ways: 1) the ep is blocked, picked up and run back, but fumbled into the EZ where the kicking team recovers, or 2) the ep is blocked and picked up by the kicking team, who runs the wrong way. Edit: I’d love to see a team do this on purpose.

44-3.  Nordin kicks a 50 yarder and misses another PAT.  Khaleke and DB Jr. annihilate their starter and they end up with a running back at QB.

they will score a lot against us. Maybe a drive at the end of the game to make it look a little closer then the game really is .

31-14 Michigan.

What I'd like to see:

1. Two or three grinding drives powered by lots of runs gaining 5-15 yards a pop.

2. Two or three breakaway runs - 25-30 yard TD scampers.

3. Play action that hit a TE going up field, a WR going up field, or a RB as a checkoff that hits him in stride and allows a few yards after catch.

4. No fumbles.

5. No interceptions.

6. Solid kicking game.

7. Smothering defense that sees every trick Maryland as to offer in the first quarter BUT not give up a TD.

8. Smothering defense that then shuts Maryland down and we'll see a third quarter with nothing but 3 and outs for negative yardage in the 3rd quarter box score.

9. Lots of backup playing in the whole 4th quarter especially on defense.

10. 42-7

What is likely:

1. We win with the run but Maryland is tenacious and we give up some chunky plays and even perhaps a score due to a gimmick or a breakdown.

2. Maryland tries to get the ball to their few real threats (see the Maryland diaries) because that is all that they have. Look for a lot of quick screens, that wildcat look only with their WR.

3. 28-7

I'll go with might be a generous 42-7 score.

Prediction: we give up the TD on that seemingly customary drive where we "study" an offense before shutting them down for the most part, and as beaten up as Maryland already seems to be, I might very well be overly generous about their ability to do even that right now, at least against our defense.
