Brandon Johns is not and will not play the 5 in any universe. Too short and he’d be even more of a stretch 5 than Wagner. Johns will be a very good 3 and 4

If Mo and Teske play well, we win. They have a 6'9" Ricky Doyle-like center. Next tallest is 6'6", then everyone else is under 6'4". We are the first team, other than Miami, that will have legitimate size over Loyola. If our bigs play well, we win.

03/22/2017 - 5:36pm @Bodogblog-this wasn't the

@Bodogblog-this wasn't the first time GRC played Kzoo Central. Left this out, but in the first matchup, Livers looked quite unstoppable for most of the game. And having the 10 or so points he did last night was, in my opinion, very good since almost the whole GRC game plan seemed to be focused on stopping him. And his style of play I feel will mold well with Michigan's.

03/22/2017 - 10:46am Being at the game, Livers

Being at the game, Livers looked quite average. As previously said, he didn't score until the second half, and, when it meant nothing. Livers didn't get do guard Tillman much at all, proving to be a slight mistake. He was very quick through the game, espicially when Kzoo began to press (what they should've done longer as it was stopping us well.) He got a number of good pull-up jumpers at about the free throw line and made a high percentage and also, if I remember, he shot 2-2 from deep. He was guarded well by Seth Millner of GRC who in my opinion, will go D2 to Grand Valley or possibly a small D1 like Oakland, and also guarded will by James Beck who is commited to Oakland. He did fairly well defensively, but looked nothing like he did in the first matchup between GRC and Kzoo in the last game of the refular season which John Beilein showed up to. Overall, he stayed very into the game and didn't drop his head or lose his cool which I loved to see. However, on defense, Kzoo often slaps the court with both hands, something I could do without when he come to Michigan. I really like how he plays and see lots of potential in him.

A little dissappointed, I really liked the practice jersey look. But so long as we play with the same intensity, it's fine by me.

12/05/2016 - 8:31am Technology

What frustrates me is how much technology we have and how little football uses it to enhance the quality of calls. First off, the replay cameras often become VERY fuzzy when slowed down further, and why can there never be a perfect angle? The camera is never alligned correctly with a) the goal line, b) the sideline or c) the first down line. I would like to see cameras put into the first down markers so that you can look right down the first down line (OSU) and also for the pylon cameras to be used more often when looking to see if the ball broke the goal line. And, they have the camera that is connected to wires that gets a view from above, so why not use a camera like that and place it directly over the first down/goal line?

11/30/2016 - 1:08pm I completly agree. And

I completly agree. And furthermore, he not only brings that atmosphere to the team, but you can see it rubbing off on the players, which is a huge step in putting togeter a great team.

11/29/2016 - 2:11pm I'd like to argue that...

I'd like to argue that no matter a Penn St or Wisconsin victory, if both Clemson and Washington lose, we would have a spot in the playoffs. The matchups are as following for those team's conference championships:                                                                                                        Clemson vs Virginia Tech                                                                                                           Colorado vs Washington                                                                                                               Wisconsin vs Penn St.                                                                                                                 In this case, Virginia Tech, even though having the ACC Championsip, has all three losses to unranked opponents. They don't make the playoffs as well and Clemson, who has (mostly) played close games against poor opponents with two losses, one to unranked Pittsburgh and the other to a 3 loss VT, has their playoff stock drop.

With Colorado winning against Washington, Washington is out with two losses and all their wins comming against sub-par teams in the case strength of schedule is accurately applied. Colorado also misses the playoffs despite winning the conference as they suffered a 17 point loss to Michigan.

Finally, regardless of who wins the Big 10, neither Wisconsin or Penn St. can make it above Michigan, we beat both of them, Wisconsin by 7 but we looked better than that (something selection committee is supposed to look at, how the teams looked) and beat Penn St. by 39. Alabama has secured #1, Ohio St. comes in at #2 with the head-to-head win over us. Michigan has one of the last two spots locked down having a close game to number 2 OSU and a close game to number 22 Iowa. The final spot is up for grabs between Oklahoma, best 3 loss team, and Clemson, second best 2 loss team.

I don't object anything you have said, this is simply my opinion on the scenario.

11/27/2016 - 6:59pm This seems so crazy but it's true

This seems so crazy but it's true. Penn St. beat OSU and we won big on them and beat Wisconson by 7 (should've been 16 but, hey, field goals) and with a Colorado win sending Washington out of top 4, we have to go over them as we beat them handily. It would need a lot of discussing in that dreaded conference room, but, It could theoretically happen.

11/21/2016 - 10:45am Ball hit straight down out of

Ball hit straight down out of bounds...1 second off the clock....before ball is even thrown, clock starts running, perfect pass, buzzer sounds as he catches, hears buzzer, rushes shot, misses. Should be replayed...terrible officiating.

11/14/2016 - 11:48am Regardless

of the outcome, win or lose, the season all-in-all comes down to The Game. It would have with or without a loss to Iowa. I'm disappointed of the outcome and I wish to have gone undefeated, but a win or loss against OSU would have made the seaon with or without a loss to Iowa. I'm most concerned about our o-line, who looked very mortal against Iowa. Our defense, I am still happy with as we only gave 13 points, however, I have been dissapointed on how McCray has looked in the open field.

11/07/2016 - 1:21pm I understand

I understand. There is no amount of research that David Pollack would be able to do to see that Michigan's offence deserves a top spot in the FBS. I mean, going online and looking up simple stats and watching tape from games is too much to ask a college football analyst to do.
