ESPN 2016 All-American predictions
Apparently they think we'll have three All-Americans this year, tied for most. Seems crazy to me to be doing these this early, but hey...HARBAUGH!
http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/16025803/alabama-crimson…;
Came to make a snarky comment, clicked on the list, got goosebumps instead. Optimism level: terrifying.
Haha that's exactly how I felt when I saw the article on ESPN. I was thinking they would put 22 SEC starters, but BIG TEN!
Dreaming of him lining up with Gronk next year. Killer combination.
have Martellus Bennet now. I doubt they would spend a 1st rounder on a TE.
That being said, you never know with Bill. Bill and McDaniels could come up with some interesting 3 TE sets with Gronk, Bennet, and Butt. Throw Edelperson and Dion Lewis into that formation and 95% of the defenses in the NFL would severely struggle to stop it with any consistency.
Bennett is an UFA after the season. Puts up big numbers with TB throwing and double teams on Gronk, signs a big deal and Pats get a high supplemental pick. Yes, the Pats will be picking #32. TB gets #5 and ends all conversation as to who's the GOAT. Then he gets Butt as a replacement for Bennett. Have to have some fun during mini-camp.
Here's a list of people who argue Brady is not the GOAT:
1. Idiots
Thanks for pointing out Bennett will be an UFA. I obviously forgot.
Had the GOAT and probably would've won a 2nd NC. Harbaugh and Brady will become the greatest QB recruitment machine in history, not that Harbaugh needs much help!
Butt isn't going to be available at #32, when the Patriots will be picking.
he will slip to 32, but you never know! NFL teams can be quite stupid.
I believe you're mistaken, the Arizona Cardinals are scheduled to make the 32nd pick in the 2017 NFL Draft

Thanks so much for your insight and candor. It really made my day that much better.
Seriously, why did you feel the need to post? If you don't like it don't read it.
Same reaction here. Not to mention that I'm not sure (1) how he can comment on the quality of espn.com content since he hasn't read it in years and (2) why he'd rather read the NY Post when he considers it just as shitty as espn.com.
If people don't read or like ESPN, that's totally understandable, but we don't need to hear about it in every damn thread about ESPN content.
on now. Everybody knows that disparaging ESPN is the coolest and must be done at any time possible.
There's nothing I love more than a Freep article talking about something Stephen A Smith said on ESPN about soccer...

Yeah basically
Read thread title, if it interests you, then continue to read and possibly contribute.
If it doesn't interest you.....then move on
But holy shit am I excited for this season. Once we get rolling I think the team is going to be an unstoppable juggernaut.

Dude. Glasgow, Mo Hurst, Mone, Wormley, Taco, Rashan, etc. Get over it.
How many of them are on the All American list? Wouldn't it have been nice to have him last year when Glasgow was injured?
Sure. It'd be nice to have Tom Brady starting at QB this year. I'm not gonna cry over some State player who was thinking about going to Michigan a few years ago.

Death to the offseason. I really love summer and all of its activities but man this fall cannot come soon enough.
If O'Korn wins the QB job I could see Chesson making it there too. Chesson's speed and development as a WR last year, combined with O'Korn's deep ball potential could be deadly.

The way Chesson abused Hargraves I could see it.
practice, Chesson should be able to dominate "just a guy" DBs during the season.

because I think we could have even more than 3
If it's less than 6, I think you are being pessimistic.
take Malik "Bad College Selection " McDowell's place on this list.
All-Big 10 team could belong to us this year if we play the right way:
Chesson, Butt, Cole, Mags, Wormley, Glasgow, Taco, JD, and Jabrill all seem like guys who will definitely be all the list. Toss in O'Korn, Smith, Darboh, Kalis, Hurst, Gedeon, Dymonte, and Clark into the possible / honorable mention category.
It should be a fun year.
Honestly, seems about right. It's weird to be surprised that UM has great players, but it's a new Harbaugh-infused world.
If you also consider freshman All-Americans, you have to figure Gary will have a good shot and possibly an offensive player if a guy like Bredeson, Walker, or Peters blows up.
Chesson, Wormley, and Glasgow could conceivably make AA as well. So three is actually not a far-fetched prediction.

Bredeson will show up if he performs better than the other players. Harbaugh tells recruits the best player will play. I like that policy.
Interesting that they said Lewis was 1st team big ten last year, but should make a big jump his senior year, almost as if last year was a disappointment for him. Not really sure a big jump is possible, he was already extremely dominant.
