have Martellus Bennet now. I doubt they would spend a 1st rounder on a TE.

That being said, you never know with Bill. Bill and McDaniels could come up with some interesting 3 TE sets with Gronk, Bennet, and Butt. Throw Edelperson and Dion Lewis into that formation and 95% of the defenses in the NFL would severely struggle to stop it with any consistency.

Bennett is an UFA after the season.  Puts up big numbers with TB throwing and double teams on Gronk, signs a big deal and Pats get a high supplemental pick.  Yes, the Pats will be picking #32.  TB gets #5 and ends all conversation as to who's the GOAT.  Then he gets Butt as a replacement for Bennett.  Have to have some fun during mini-camp.

Same reaction here. Not to mention that I'm not sure (1) how he can comment on the quality of espn.com content since he hasn't read it in years and (2) why he'd rather read the NY Post when he considers it just as shitty as espn.com.

If people don't read or like ESPN, that's totally understandable, but we don't need to hear about it in every damn thread about ESPN content.

It doesn't so much hurt (as others have said we have a fantastic DL at this point without him), but my thought was "can you IMAGINE how sweet that list would've looked with a block M next to McDowells name on that list"? Four potential All Americans, 3 on defense. Give it a few years and we'll get there.

If O'Korn wins the QB job I could see Chesson making it there too.  Chesson's speed and development as a WR last year, combined with O'Korn's deep ball potential could be deadly.

Just because of how differently we will deploy him, I think Peppers is actually less likely than Wormley or Chesson to be 1st team AA. That's unless he does improved numbers on offense and ST. He's going to contribute more to the team, probably, but his numbers will be funny for an AA at either LB or DB.

All-Big 10 team could belong to us this year if we play the right way:

Chesson, Butt, Cole, Mags, Wormley, Glasgow, Taco, JD, and Jabrill all seem like guys who will definitely be all the list. Toss in O'Korn, Smith, Darboh, Kalis, Hurst, Gedeon, Dymonte, and Clark into the possible / honorable mention category.

It should be a fun year.

If you also consider freshman All-Americans, you have to figure Gary will have a good shot and possibly an offensive player if a guy like Bredeson, Walker, or Peters blows up.

Chesson, Wormley, and Glasgow could conceivably make AA as well.  So three is actually not a far-fetched prediction.

Interesting that they said Lewis was 1st team big ten last year, but should make a big jump his senior year, almost as if last year was a disappointment for him.  Not really sure a big jump is possible, he was already extremely dominant.
