Lol, nose guard. That seems like a really funny way of saying nose tackle. Anyway, wasn't this already known? I thought he moved to DT last year. Maybe not specifically at nose, but he was definitely not going to stick at SDE. Him and Deron Irving Bey were both pretty much assumed to move inside to DT.

Still in it for Johnson. Probably just a cap on the table for Wright

I doubt we are even in it for Henry. A big draw for him was Dan Enos. But when Enos left, it seems his interest in Michigan also left. The only other possible TE Michigan still left on the board is Isaiah Foskey

I think the battle is between Stanford-Michigan with ND behind them all. Mom is a Michigan alum so that's a feather in our cap. PSU took 3 WRs last year and they got John Dunmore this year, so they're pretty loaded at the moment

Which posts were political on the front page? I only remember the one about the local election (which I was honestly surprised Brian put up in the first place but it's his website so whatever). There have been more on the board that I can recall. Didn't realize the Kevin Wilson/Hitler one got political until I just saw it. I have strong opinions about politics but I don't care to discuss it here. More of a family argument than a website one...

I'm excited for Karen. Also for Karan, but even more so for Karen.

Keegan wants to commit around his mother's birthday in August so I don't think he's waiting for Warriner

If he plays at all with even the Rangers's training squad, I would be very surprised

He's under scholarship now since Michigan is under 85. umbig11 reported that on this website a couple days ago.

07/03/2018 - 2:23pm Moody is already in the 2018…

Moody is already in the 2018 class and is under scholarship. Agreed on Keegan, DiCosmo, and Sainristil. I think we get one of Ford or C. Johnson. Either Cine or Josh Sanguinetti. Quavaris Crouch. And Giles Jackson. That would put our class at 26 which is optimistic as it is.

07/03/2018 - 2:18pm Most definitely. They want 2…

Most definitely. They want 2-3 safeties and are pursuing Lewis Cine, Daxton Hill, and Josh Sanguinetti hard. Getting 1 of 3 would be great as it is. Getting 2 of 3 would be amazing.

07/03/2018 - 1:30pm Michigan is also apparently…

Michigan is also apparently recruiting Lewis Cine at Viper. It seems their philosophy is recruit great athletes at viper and if they don't win that spot, they can move either to LB or S full time. Not a bad way to accumulate talent

07/02/2018 - 2:00pm That's not for sure since…

That's not for sure since Quentin Johnson is committing tomorrow. Whoever is committing later today is a surprise that is not scheduled. Many thought it would be sainristil since he would be a flip but it's a 4 star guy so that really opens up the board to a major surprise in 2019 or a 2020 kid

Also throwing out Aeneas Dicosmo if you're counting future 4 stars. or maybe Josh Sanguinetti who visited recently. Or hell Lewis Cine.

Not knowing anything about his history of prior judgments or which way he leans for key issues, that would be very exciting. This post might be too political for this board.

“I’m not going to lie, when I look at my text messages, there’s no girls in there, it’s all coaches, so it’s kind of stressful,” Ojabo said. “It’ll be good to get it over with, but it’s a good problem to have.”

The struggle is real. Welcome David!!! Hope you're a menace to all opposing linemen, and QBs in the future

4 star??? Then it's not Sainristil or Giles Jackson. Now i'm going to spend the entire day wondering who it could be. Perhaps Keegan? or Cornelious Johnson?? Ahh

2 tomorrow. Ojabo and maybe Sainristil, though i've heard Giles Jackson's name thrown out as well.

1 Tuesday. Quinten Johnson

Very interested to see what happens with Giles Jackson and Wandale Robinson. Both are APB but could be recruited as just slot receivers or offensive weapons in general.

Lance Dixon is no longer an option. He took Michigan out of consideration and is only looking at PSU and Wisconsin now

A glimpse of the future.

Looks like the current commits are doing a great job recruiting him

06/25/2018 - 1:18pm I wouldn't count Uche either…

I wouldn't count Uche either, but Paye should pan out. He was behind Winovich last year and was expected to redshirt, but still made an impact as a true freshman. The word is he's only gotten better in the offseason.

06/25/2018 - 1:17pm It only makes sense if all…

It only makes sense if all the sites are looking at him as a QB. He probably needed to go to more camps and establish his WR skills in addition to playing QB at his school

06/25/2018 - 1:15pm He's being offered as an…

He's being offered as an offensive weapon at Michigan. Slot WR primarily with hand offs in the backfield, occasional wildcat QB, and punt/kickoff returner. Similar to Michael Barrett, but Barrett is more running oriented and not going to be returning kicks/punts.

06/25/2018 - 11:35am On Sam's show this morning,…

On Sam's show this morning, multiple people expressed that Charbonnet is due for a huge rise in rankings, primarily because no one has really seen him. He doesn't do camps so his game tape is pretty much all there is to rely on. All should get a rise because he's been doing well in camps. I expect Velazquez to get a rise once his senior season is underway, though I would expect anything more than a high 3 star ranking. Barnhart is expected a bump to 4 stars as well. Along with McNamara, I expect Trente Jones to also get a bump. Should George Johnson commit today, I bet his rating goes up to higher 3 star as well (just based on looking at his offer list)

06/24/2018 - 5:15pm I don’t understand what you…

I don’t understand what you’re getting at? They’re from a previous class and most of them didn’t end up at Michigan. They performed well at camps and were given a chance. David Reese has done outstanding at Florida so good for him.

Agreed. Though I wouldn't be surprised if they push for one more if it's a higher rated prospect such as Isaiah Foskey. Both Wheatley and Gentry could be gone after this year

All Aboard!

06/24/2018 - 11:25am They're basically in charge…

They're basically in charge of setting up recruiting visits and making sure that everything goes smoothly on the day of the visit. As far as I know, most people are happy with Dudek and how he has set up Michigan visits. I'm not sure who else has come in. Sam Webb has said though that Michigan was harmed by the amount of turnover they had because a lot of the relationships fell through and it's taken a while to build it all up again. People like Gwen Bush and Tony Tuioti played a part in connecting with players and it seems the transition to the next people at that position didn't go super smooth.

06/24/2018 - 11:06am Of course I'd much rather…

Of course I'd much rather have higher rated prospects that multiple sites and schools have evaluated and confirmed are excellent. But I'm just a poster on this blog. I can't do jack about it. Nor can you. What I can do is support whoever is in our class and not make a big deal every single time someone crystal balls a lower rated prospect. I want on field results. Whether that comes with 5* recruits or 0* recruits.

06/24/2018 - 10:53am He's basically saying that…

He's basically saying that kids have worked hard for this moment and have worked hard to achieve offers from schools. Now you come along and you're bashing them just because they're not rated as highly as other prospects. Don't be an ass and bash kids. Be supportive and say something positive for a change

06/24/2018 - 10:50am Just because he received a…

Just because he received a crystal ball doesn't mean he's going to commit to Michigan. That being said, he won MVP at a WR Michigan camp and the coaches evaluated him live so clearly they must like him. It seems that Michigan really wants to get faster, shiftier guys for the slot and he along with George Johnson III fits that mold. I don't know how to evaluate film, but it doesn't seem like you can either (considering you're only looking at stars). Just let it play out and be happy with whomever Michigan gets. You don't have to complain all the time.

06/22/2018 - 5:03pm He reminds me a lot of…

He reminds me a lot of Lamont Wade. Another twitchy, but small guy who ended up at Penn State. If he grows to say 5'10 or 5'11, I full expect him to be one of the best recruits in the state

06/22/2018 - 12:21pm If you're going to keep…

If you're going to keep posting the same source, i'm gonna post the same explanation to the misunderstanding

Okay, I looked at his Michigan profile. It says he was ranked as the #1 ATHLETE in PA. That means at his position, scout thinks he was the best at his position in PA, #2 in the East, and #24 nationally. He was not the #1 prospect in PA, which that same website indicates that rivals and espn had him at #14 and #28 respectively. It makes no sense for a prospect ranked #273 nationally to be #1 in the state when that state has kids like Miles Sanders and Naseir Upshur also there.

Khaleke was not the #1 player in pennsylvania according to scout. Scout doesn't exist, but from his hello post, he #273 overall on scout. According to 247, he was ranked either #10 or #11 in PA. Still good, but not #1 overall. That distinction went to Miles Sanders who was a 5* on pretty much every site.

06/22/2018 - 10:53am Everyone on this blog would…

Everyone on this blog would gladly have an open discussion with you if you chose to relay positive news on here from time to time. The way you express yourself now, it just comes off as being 1) not a Michigan fan, 2) a troll, 3) a masochist.Yes, Michigan is recruiting 3 star kids. But the quality of those kids matters. Velazquez is not a bad athlete in any way and should he commit, he could be a starter down the road.

Now you point out Alabama and Georgia as where we should be. Let's be real, as you said, and understand that we are not the juggernauts that they are. Those 2 teams plus OSU have been absolutely dominant for the last 10+ years. It takes time to get there and we are much better off than before. Recruiting is a marathon.

Now if you want to make a comparison, look at Clemson. They are similar to Michigan in many ways in that they are not in a state that produces a ton of talent and have other teams in their conference that are better recruiters. But they utilize 3* recruits along with their more heralded 4* and 5* recruits. That is a program that was built up in 7+ years and only recently has gotten to where it is now. I hope Michigan can get there faster but at the end of it all, I just want Michigan to get to that position at all.

06/20/2018 - 10:15pm Speed is extremely necessary…

Speed is extremely necessary, obviously on offense, but also especially with Don Brown's blitz heavy defense. It will also help us deal with most spread offenses. As long as we don't sacrifice size for speed (ala Rich Rod years) our defense should continue to be a nightmare for opposing teams.

I've noticed that Michigan is recruiting a lot of smaller backs that are rated as all purpose backs. These include higher rated - Isaiah Spiller and Eric Gray, but also much lower rated Wandale Robinson and recently offered Giles Jackson and Jordan Houston. I wonder if this is part of an overarching philosophy to get different backs on the team or just random coincidence.

My money is on 2020 CB Andre Seldon. He called Michigan a dream offer and almost committed on the spot.

Backup options: 2020 Denver Warren, 2019 Joey Velazquez, or 2019 David Ojabo
