Who else can play the viper besides Glasgow? I know Barrett is practicing at the position but is there anyone else who can come in to give Glasgow a break in the first half?

09/16/2018 - 11:46am Evans is a good back, but…

Evans is a good back, but not suited for the inside between the tackles game. He works best in space and even yesterday looked good when side stepping and juking defenders. Wilson is a better inside runner and he has really impressed me in pass protection. Samuels also looked pretty good at the end of the game.

Deciding between 2 of Allen Robinson, Devin Funchess, Ted Ginn, and Brandon Marshall.

09/15/2018 - 2:03pm Jonathan Taylor has a ton of…

Jonathan Taylor has a ton of hype. Bryce Love was a favorite but he's had a rough start to the season. AJ Dillon could be a sleeper.

Among QBs, Tua Tagovailoa, Kyler Murray, and Dwayne Haskins have been talked about a ton. Will Grier and Justin Herbert are probably the top QBs in the next draft so they have a chance too.

09/14/2018 - 10:46pm Franklin is a good recruiter…

Franklin is a good recruiter but winning took their recruiting to a next level. PSU commits always say that they have a great feeling of home and family at PSU and they really connect with Franklin. PSU is also tapping into the talent in the DC/Maryland area and the northeast since they're the closest big ten program that is decent.

It is not going to be Big 2 ever again and nor should you want it to be. Yes a strong Big Ten makes it harder to go unscathed. But it makes your program better as well. PSU has always been good but Franklin's recruiting is making it better. Dantonio has elevated MSU. Wisconsin is doing the same thing as always but now also getting higher rated commits. Nebraska may bounce back under Frost. NW and Iowa have decent years from time to time. Winning a conference like that is better than winning a crappy conference

09/14/2018 - 4:46pm He had his crystal ball at…

He had his crystal ball at OSU before that. Even when a run of Michigan crystal balls came, wiltfong didn’t change his from OSU. I think he believes that Keegan is looking around too much to be truly interested in coming to Michigan. But wiltfong has been wrong before and much more wrong than guys like Steve Lorenz who are more judicious with their crystal balls. To the UM staffs credit, at least they haven’t put all their eggs in one basket. Ike and Benhart are both excellent options. I think they should also look at Connor Foster - a kid from Ohio who rose quite a bit in recent rankings and is currently committed to Northwestern. He seems like someone Michigan might be able to flip if other plans don’t work out.

Maybe. Maybe not. Doesn't matter at this point.

09/11/2018 - 4:59pm Did not see this earlier but…

Did not see this earlier but Andre Seldon in the 2020 class also moved up 3 spots (now #26CB) in the 247 CB rankings making him a composite 4 star.

09/11/2018 - 12:16pm I think Erick's profile is…

I think Erick's profile is wrong. It shows that he moved up to 0.8917 (cut off for 4 stars is 0.8900) but doesn't show the 4th star. If you go on Michigan 2019 commits page, it shows he's ranked slightly above Giles Jackson and is a composite 4th star.

09/11/2018 - 11:39am Can't edit but meant to say:…

Can't edit but meant to say: "Quintel Kent has also moved up 51 spots in the WR rankings making him the #139WR. He's had an excellent season thus far and if he keeps performing the way he is right now, I can see him rising even further."

09/10/2018 - 4:58pm What are you talking about?…

What are you talking about? Wisconsin has Graham Mertz committed (top 100 pro style QB). He's really good and Michigan recruited him for a while trying to get him to flip before he blew up and solidified his commitment to Wisconsin. OSU has Dwan Mathis committed, who is a pro style QB from the state of Michigan. Mathis used to be committed to MSU which is why they don't have one at the moment but I'm sure they're on the lookout for a QB as well.

He’s a Wormley/Kemp type player where he’ll put on weight and bounce between DT and SDE. I see him as a future 3-tech.

Marshawn Lynch, Corey Davis, David Njoku, or Theo Riddick for FLEX?

FYI for anyone that is interested - Magnus/Thunder does a great weekly update on all former wolverines (commits, coaches, transfers, maybe NFL players) over at Touch The Banner - Link

09/04/2018 - 8:35pm It's not inaccurate because…

It's not inaccurate because Illinois wasn't ranked at the time we played them. It's moreso a stupid stat because it's completely arbitrary. That stat is going all the way back to Carr teams. Michigan has gone through multiple changes since then - personnel, schematic, administrative - and a team playing in 2007 is completely different from a team playing in 2018

09/03/2018 - 8:50pm Agreed on Jones and Hayes. I…

Agreed on Jones and Hayes. I'm just not sure how long it will take for Hayes to be ready to contribute. Of the 5 OL committed in our class only Jones will for sure be a OT. Barnhart may be more viable at OT than previously expected but Stewart, Rumler, and Carpenter are OGs for sure. So one more OT in this class should help us long term

09/03/2018 - 7:49pm Michigan stopped recruiting…

Michigan stopped recruiting him when he didn't well in camps this offseason. Not sure if he would have ended up a tackle down the road anyway. Many say he looks more like a guard. This is probably a bigger loss since we lost an in with Aaryn Parks who's his friend and another top OL prospect in 2020.

Our top targets for OT are Trevor Keegan and Danielson Ike. We have some swing guys committed right now (Barnhat, Stewart) but if we can get a true OT prospect we should be good. If not these two then hopefully Michigan can find a true tackle plan B option.

08/31/2018 - 11:49pm He had 7 catches for 135…

He had 7 catches for 135 yards and 2 TDs against Mentor. 2 TDs today (one catch, one kick return TD). Don't know about his stats for today's game but he's playing well against good competition. Both Mentor and Cass Tech are good teams. If he keeps this up, he should see his stock rise. Bill Greene even said after the first game that he would need to reevaluate where he ranks Kent in the state of Ohio.

08/29/2018 - 12:32pm We wanted him as a LB not a…

We wanted him as a LB not a fullback. Seeing him succeed definitely brings up what if scenarios, but I think even he would have struggled with our O-line.

Hopefully Charbonnet will make up for this miss and by the time he is ready to go our O-line is also ready to smash and open up giant holes for him.

08/29/2018 - 10:13am He was always a boom or bust…

He was always a boom or bust guy. Seems to have gone bust up till this point. The hope is that he comes on late a la Lawrence Marshall. But he hasn't been heard in practice reports and it really seems to be an uphill battle with all the D-line recruits that Michigan has committed/is after

08/27/2018 - 4:40pm I saw Hayes practicing with…

I saw Hayes practicing with the O-Line. He was part of the group that the 1st and 2nd string were going up against

08/26/2018 - 2:48pm Pretty much. Hopefully his…

Pretty much. Hopefully his hype this offseason is true and he can take over.

If Black recovers by the end of the season and only plays in say the last 4 games, would he be able to take a redshirt this year? Not sure if that rule is for all redshirts or only for freshmen

08/25/2018 - 10:34am He is A top RB. Trey Sanders…

He is A top RB. Trey Sanders from IMG is still considered top in the country. John Emery, Jerrion Ealy, and Devyn Ford are also top all around backs. But Michigan has two of the best in the country in Charbonnet and Gray

08/25/2018 - 10:05am It'll be interesting how he…

It'll be interesting how he performs moving forward. His QB was injured near the end of the game. Don't know how serious but it could impact Kent's stats for the rest of the season.

Kent had 7 catches for 135 yards and 2 TDs

Browns seem like they have a lot of good pieces to make a playoff team. Just need competent coaching to put it all together for them

08/24/2018 - 12:29pm Long time to go but seems…

Long time to go but seems like the state of Michigan has some good prospects. Suprised Damon Payne isn't the top in state player from everything that Sam has raved about him. But i'm glad that Michigan has already reached out to the top players already. Making early connections is important

Yeah he was definitely making a joke

08/22/2018 - 7:20pm It's crazy reading this and…

It's crazy reading this and recognizing so many names that Michigan was recruiting. Kareem, Hayes, Bars, Mustipher, Tranquill. Shame.

If only RT is a question mark does that mean Runyan has locked down the LT spot? and I thought someone mentioned Will Hart as the starting punter for ND. Hopefully we don't need to punt at all

08/21/2018 - 2:16pm Makes sense I suppose. Bosa…

Makes sense I suppose. Bosa vs Gary is definitely an argument where I'm biased towards Gary but Bosa is undoubtedly very good and ESPN loves him. And Clemson's D-line is pretty much top in the nation. I'm more surprised one of David Long or Lavert Hill didn't make it on there. They're consistently rated one of the best in the country but it also seems like they're the forgotten gems of our defense.

08/20/2018 - 12:20pm Possibly. But they have no…

Possibly. But they have no one that can challenge them in their division. Their toughest matches are Michigan and Penn State. And overall they have a pretty well-rounded team with no glaring weaknesses.

08/20/2018 - 10:34am Michigan is not even in his…

Michigan is not even in his most recent top 14 or 15 group. We werent even under consideration anymore. I would have said that he's likely to go to OSU, but with his other top group and the shit OSU is going through right now, I expect him to land in Georgia. Georgia must be doing something different for them to pull so many top ranked OL from the north. Isaiah Wilson, Xavier Truss, and possible Justin Rogers too.

08/17/2018 - 1:37pm As long as Saban is there…

As long as Saban is there Bama will continue being good. But they'll have a tougher time of it because Georgia is hot new team in the conference and Alabama's recruiting hasn't been as strong since Smart left. And they way Smart is recruiting, Georgia can pull off a dynasty similar to Saban's at Alabama.

The question is if Smart is as good of a coach to achieve the same feat. And how much of these teams beating up on each other benefit other teams in the country (Michigan, Clemson, OSU, Florida St., USC, PSU, Washington, Texas)? They also have talent and can take advantage of this situation.

2011 OSU. Sort of exciting finish. But they should see a victory over OSU.

2016 vs Rutgers just because it's hilarious

I can think of way more exciting basketball finishes which should also help with your indoctrination plan.

Burke did well to end the year last year. He isn't going to be the number one PG option, but as the PG off the bench he can probably play at a high level and stay in the league for a while.

08/12/2018 - 10:35pm When this offer went out, I…

When this offer went out, I believe Sam Webb also stated that he will be a future DT. As a DT, he's not a bad get. Though I wish Michigan could have waited to see if they could have flipped Mike Morris (listed as SDE but I think he'll grow into a DT ala Carlo Kemp) or maybe get Jeffrey M'ba. Hopefully his senior season shows a lot of tape that indicates why Michigan offered at their DT camp.

What does this say about their defense though? Are they a unit where our new OL and new QB may have trouble getting their bearings?
