Or maybe warde knew that he…

Or maybe warde knew that he’s accomplished nothing that Harbaugh doesn’t already have on his resume? That could be it also.

Every time I have turned on…

Every time I have turned on Michigan basketball the other team has gone on a run. So I have stopped watching for the team, the team, the team.

I’m not kidding. It’s desperation time and sacrifices must be made.

Hard to blame him with…

Hard to blame him with Michigan botching Harbaugh’s contract and not having a DC one month before the second signing day.

The clock stopped both times…

The clock stopped both times until they reset the ball in the field of play. They gave Georgia about 12 extra seconds just on those two plays alone. Then you toss in the 40 they gave them by passing on 3rd and 2 and snapping the ball with 13 seconds left twice and you are talking about ~1:18 they gave back to UGA (all in the final 2.5 minutes).

That wasn’t even the worst…

That wasn’t even the worst part. Having two guys run out of bounds and snapping the ball with 13+ seconds left twice ultimately were worse than the 3rd and 2 incompletion. Georgia scored in a 1 minute 15 seconds but should’ve at most got the ball back with 20 seconds.

I’m by no means a dolphins…

I’m by no means a dolphins fan or closely following Tua. But the “struggling” stuff is just odd when you look at his stats.

6-2 as starter

10 TD’s / 2 INT’s

Completing nearly 66% of his passes.

Have to think a lot of franchises would love to have a struggling QB with those numbers. I get that he’s not pushing the ball down the field a ton. But just looking at their depth chart, they don’t really seem like a team built to drive the ball down the field like other offenses?

Is there some computer program out there telling everyone he sucks or are there other things I’m missing?

Every school goes through…

Every school goes through this. I remember Ohio State went through this with Mike Weber / Stan Drayton and their response was basically, “Toughen up, buttercup.”

He did. And by all accounts, I would say he is pretty happy with the way things turned out.

Good. Our team was slow and…

Good. Our team was slow and weak this year. Out with the old, in with the new.

Seemed like he had a shot…

Seemed like he had a shot. But of course we cycle in 5 RB’s for 2 plays at a time so none of our RB’s are ever “good” by really any statistical standard.

They went 8 and 3 and lost…

They went 8 and 3 and lost to every good team they played while not winning a championship. Harbaugh has done that 5 times.

Hard to imagine a place…

Hard to imagine a place better for a punter's career than Michigan.

I was hoping for Nebraska,…

I was hoping for Nebraska, but sure, Iowa works just as well.

If Ohio State was in the SEC…

If Ohio State was in the SEC East, he would have the same number of championship game appearances, conference championships, and national championships as Jim Harbaugh.

Instead, Mullen gets to beat the likes of Tennessee, Kentucky, and a Georgia team on their 3rd or 4th QB to get to a title game. After next week, he’ll be 8-3 just like Harbaugh is every year.

Amazing to see a team win as…

Amazing to see a team win as an underdog. Do not remember that feeling.

“ISU is a far cry from from…

“ISU is a far cry from from U-M” is the exact thing said on this site about Brady Hoke and Rich Rodriguez.

“He won 9 games at SD State and 12 at Ball State. Imagine what he can do at Michigan.”

We’ve already been down that road. I’m not impressed with Campbell and think he will be a a traditional Hoke-ian 8-4 / 7-5 coach at Michigan. He has proven himself incapable of recruiting at Ohio State’s level (or even Nebraska’s for that matter — his highest rated class is outside the top 40). I am not really sure what people see in him other than, “He’s not Jim Harbaugh.”

The Matt Campbell chatter in…

The Matt Campbell chatter in these threads is hilarious. From MGoBlog, you’d think Cambell is the second coming of Vince Lombardi. The guy has won 62% of his games as a college coach (in the MAC and weak Big 12) and 55% in his current gig. He has yet to win a conference championship.

Yes, let’s replace Jim Harbaugh (a guy who has won 70% of his games) with a guy who has won even less. That’s surely the ticket to beat Ohio State.

Florio has reported three…

Florio has reported three times in six years that Harbaugh was going back to the NFL. He’s as trustworthy as FootballScoop when they told us Jim Hackett was hiring 67 year old Joe Moglia from Coastal Carolina.

No. He’s basically Jeremy…

No. He’s basically Jeremy Pruitt without being a coordinator at this point (I.e. less accomplished). If that’s what you want, go for it. It’s not working out well for Tennessee at this point.

Per the Atlantic, this is…

Per the Atlantic, this is the first time in 1,350 games that Michigan football lost to a team with an 0-5 record or worse.

He is awful. I have no clue…

He is awful. I have no clue who will even be around to start at QB in 2021. This entire program sucks.

Covering a 4 star receiver…

Covering a 4 star receiver with a walk-on safety on 3rd and 7 was definitely a good choice.

The 2014 team was pretty bad…

The 2014 team was pretty bad. It was pretty difficult to even care about that team because the offense was so awful. They are pretty comparable.

Please don’t make us play…

Please don’t make us play Ohio State.

“This game was not cancelled…

“This game was not cancelled due to COVID” says the guy who just had his entire team sit on an hour flight with a sick COVID patient.

Ok, Dabo.

Excellent news. Was anyone…

Excellent news. Was anyone else confused by announcers saying that Gattis claimed he had to rotate four TB’s because he didn’t have a 20+ carry guy?

Charbonnet ran like 33 times a year ago vs Army as a freshman. That’s an indictment on the training staff if he regressed. The only guy that probably can’t handle 20+ carries yet is Corum.

As stated, Speight got a win…

As stated, Speight got a win in relief in 2015.

O’Korn also came in after Speight’s injury against Purdue in 2017 and looked solid. So it has happened a couple times in the Harbaugh era.

Well clearly this is an…

Well clearly this is an ongoing issue.

Charbonnet is absolutely underutilized.

Mazi Smith is not being used. But thankfully I get to watch Jess Speight get pushed into the linebackers 30+ snaps every game.

Glad I got to watch Drew Singleton play for Rutgers tonight while Adam Shibley ran around and tried hard.

I’m positive that DGW and Seldon couldn’t do any better than be 7 yards away from the receiver they are covering or not find the ball when they are within 7 yards.

Gemon Green is REALLY…

Gemon Green is REALLY talented lol

See above: NO — Milton took…

See above: NO — Milton took first snaps with Carpenter who is starting at center. Per Angelique.

Also: Milton took first…

Also: Milton took first snaps with Carpenter (who is now starting at center). Per Angelique.

It will affirm that Ohio…

It will affirm that Ohio State is going to score 100 points on us. That’s all that will come of it.

Well Jim Harbaugh told…

Well Jim Harbaugh told Herbstreit before the Minnesota game that Erik All was going to be the best TE in Michigan history, so that tells you a little something about his talent evaluation skills.

Well Jim Harbaugh told…

Well Jim Harbaugh told Herbstreit before the Minnesota game that Erik All was going to be the best TE in Michigan history, so that tells you a little something about his talent evaluation skills.

He said the same thing in…

He said the same thing in 2017. To be fair, the ‘18 team was 10-1 after they had the bad experiences but of course the wheels fell off at the end.  You don’t get to be “close” for six years at Michigan.

No thanks

No thanks

1. Luke Fickell;

2. Josh…

1. Luke Fickell;

2. Josh Heupel;

3. Billy Napier; or

4. Mario Christobal.

if they all fail, take a shot at Chris Peterson or Bob Stoops.

Nua’s pedigree was always…

Nua’s pedigree was always lacking. He wasn’t a good hire then and obviously has proven that to all of us. Harbaugh’s staff has regressed year over year.

Roster turnover has killed…

Roster turnover has killed the program. It’s nice to bring in 24 recruits a year and be ranked in the top 10, but when you have guys like Solomon, Singleton, McCaffrey, Black, Asiasi, Etc. Etc. Etc. transferring, along with opt outs and guys entering the draft early to get picked in round 6, you can never get the job done.

It was announced during the…

It was announced during the game that LSU was going to be the first defending national champion to lose an opener since, get this, Michigan in 1998.

Good to have some company.

I am definitely not in a…

I am definitely not in a college football mood. It’s just weird watching games with hardly any fans in the stand.

If you count another 670…

If you count another 670 players down the list, you will nearly get the same exact ranking of our 2020 QB haul.

Yes it is. Offensive coaches…

Yes it is. Offensive coaches looked and said why gain 300 yards on a good day in the I-formation when we can go get 400 on a bad day in the spread.

I did think for a while there was an opportunity for a team to run a no-huddle, fast paced I-Form and be successful. But it never happened.

I could easily see him going…

I could easily see him going for 1000 yards at that level.

It’s laughable you think…

It’s laughable you think Ohio State has to cheat to get top players. They put like 10-13 guys a year into the NFL and all of which are usually drafted with guaranteed money. You do not have to cheat when you are guaranteed to win the conference every year and send nearly all your starters to the NFL.

Michigan just continues to recruit guys that (1) are not ready to contribute for 2-3 years; (2) have no respectable offers; and (3) are not legit NFL prospects. This November: Ohio State 49 Michigan 17.

People want football. Just…

People want football. Just not the same football. If Vince ever put his capital into something like the Arena Football League, it could work. It has the history, draws an average of 8-10k fans in an arena, was fun to watch, and put a couple guys into the NFL.

They need someone like Vince to put his money/brand into it and it COULD succeed. Put teams in Birmingham, Columbus, Louisville, Oakland, Orlando, Salt Lake City, San Antonio, and St. Louis and it could work.

Devin Bush Sr. obviously. …

Devin Bush Sr. obviously. “Thee Matty D” is a pretty unlikable guy. Even more unlikable when Michigan finishes outside the top 10 in recruiting.

Good --  if Harbaugh won’t…

Good --  if Harbaugh won’t fire them, maybe traditional 6-6 teams will hire them all away.

Warde doesn’t need to fire…

Warde doesn’t need to fire Harbaugh. He needs to fire the entire pool of assistants save Gattis and Patridge. Start over with new assistants who will bring some urgency to the program.

We scored sixteen points,…

We scored sixteen points, gave up three sacks, got shutout in the second half, gained 109 yards and 7 first downs in the second half, and lost by 3 TD’s. What game did you watch? The “First Half Moral Victory Bowl”?

Oh, great. The offensive…

Oh, great. The offensive line “developed” and became “good” against MTSU, Rutgers, Maryland, and a depleted Michigan State defense. That should make me feel better about the Wisconsin, Penn State, Ohio State, Iowa, and Alabama debacles.
