Memo bis punitor delicatum!
It's all there, black and white, clear as crystal!
You stole Fizzy-Lifting Drinks!
You bumped into the ceiling, which now has to be washed and sterilized.
So you get... nothing!
You lose!
GOOD DAY, SIR!

IIRC, he’s had a few ass kickings recently.

Fun to watch speed in space. In today's game, space was almost everywhere!
November 16th, 2019 at 5:17 PM ^
And speed.

So shines a good deed in a weary world.

WE CAME.
WE SAW.
WE KICKED ITS ASS!

It's Miller Time!
November 16th, 2019 at 5:17 PM ^
My favorite garbage time sideline sequence of the game was watching Harbaugh celebrate one of the later touchdowns & then the camera immediately shifting to super sad face/hang dog D’Antonio.
MSU hasn’t won since September 28th. Assuming they beat Rutgers, they’ll have to vanquish the mighty Maryland Terrapins in the last game of the season just to become bowl eligible & go to the Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit or some other God forsaken 4th tier bowl game in Jacksonville, Florida.
November 16th, 2019 at 5:29 PM ^
I enjoyed the sideline reporter on TV mentioning at the end of halftime that Dantonio was upset with the refereeing in the 1st half.
I regret not tuning into the MSU post-game show to see if he had any other pithy comments
November 18th, 2019 at 6:21 AM ^
Reaction to calls starts about 2:50
November 16th, 2019 at 9:38 PM ^
What makes you think MSU will beat Rutgers?
November 17th, 2019 at 2:57 AM ^
Dope, Pillboi!
November 16th, 2019 at 5:19 PM ^
I'm 60. Been a fan of Michigan since 1968, an alum sinve 1981. My great grandfather grandfather, father, brother, sister and most cousins went to Michigan.
This is is normal. This is what's SUPPOSED to happen.
November 16th, 2019 at 5:25 PM ^
As someone who did their undergrad at UM while Lloyd was still coaching, I can also confirm.
November 16th, 2019 at 6:42 PM ^
Ditto for the Bo years.

"The expectation for the position..."
November 16th, 2019 at 5:46 PM ^
I graduated in 1977 and my father and mother both in 1938. Yes. This is what it’s supposed to be. The planets are returned to their natural orbits.
November 16th, 2019 at 6:49 PM ^
I'm older, so I remember the last time we were on the short end of the series in the 50s and 60s. Sparty gets these kinds of runs about once each half-century, and then eventually the world resumes spinning on its axis normally. Let's hope this portends another 40-year span of Wolverine dominance
November 16th, 2019 at 6:55 PM ^
Yes! I have been a fan since 1969 and an alum since 1980. For the most part,
from that time, until 2007, we dominated. I believe we were 17-4, under Bo, against MSU.
They often played us tough, but we expected to win. Our real rival was OSU.
The years under Rich Rod and Hoke were tough. It gave me a better sense of empathy for
State. If we had to endure decade upon decade of losing like they have, that would
have been brutal.
November 16th, 2019 at 7:10 PM ^
I matriculated during the Hoke years. What is normal?
November 16th, 2019 at 8:04 PM ^
Me too.
November 16th, 2019 at 8:23 PM ^
Not that.
Sorry.
November 16th, 2019 at 8:36 PM ^
My first year of my masters program was the last of the Rich Rod Era. That was my first year of official Michigan fandom (I had been a huge fan of the Fab Five teams, which carried over to the 1997 football team).. My second year in grad school was Hoke's first year coaching. But I'm actually in my early fifties and have been a watcher of college football since the late 70s. So I knew what normal had been. I just didn't think I'd ever see that as an alum.
November 16th, 2019 at 8:15 PM ^
Wish ours was a family affair like this. Me and both brothers went to UM. Mom to Hope, dad to Wayne State. Older brother having his first baby in 6 months, so that gives us hope. I have a 2.5 year old, but fiancé and her whole family are MSU slappys

"This is is normal. This is what's SUPPOSED to happen"
Damn straight.
November 16th, 2019 at 5:20 PM ^
The more I read this recap in relation to the context, it makes me laugh harder and harder. Especially when reading in Gene Wilder's voice.

GOOD DAY SIR INDEED!
November 16th, 2019 at 5:22 PM ^
In basketball terms: Shea struggles in the half court (getting the ball out on time), but thrives on the fast break (improvising).
today he was great in both!!!!
what a beautiful game and look forward to the re-watch!!!
well done Big Blue

Does anyone think that Hartbarger is trying to change his name right now since it nay be a little too close to Harbaugh in this moment on the bus ride home?
November 16th, 2019 at 6:59 PM ^
No. No one does.

I think he has filed the paperwork.

The best things about this game:
1. There are no moral victories for Sparty. They were comprehensively dominated in every phase of the game, and they played dirty and sloppy.
2. Because of our slow start, they actually thought they had a chance to win.
November 16th, 2019 at 7:43 PM ^
1. Poor Mrs. Panasiuk. Her boys did not represent the family very well. Imagine birthing those two douchebags.
November 17th, 2019 at 4:51 AM ^
Their behavior suggests s family thing. So the contrary might be true, she might be very proud of how well they represented the family.
November 17th, 2019 at 7:15 AM ^
I arrived when we started our drive on the 2 yard line.
I worked 10pm-7am and 45 minutes commute... needed a little nap first, but was not missing this game!
Go Blue!!
November 16th, 2019 at 5:49 PM ^
Just so damn happy right now.
Paul is ugly as sin but I’m glad he’s remaining in Ann Arbor where he belongs.
Go blue!!!!!!!!

Nice pants though.

Question for the Board:
Does this 34 point shellacking constitute Defeat With Dignity (TM) for MSU? I'm a bit unclear on that point.
November 16th, 2019 at 6:17 PM ^
Feels great to pound those bastards into the ground. Love having a multi-game winning streak again in this rivalry, as it’s been far too long. Michigan should really be able to stretch this streak at least 2 more years, as Sparty is really circling the drain. Now let’s reverse the OSU curse

+10 for the Willie Wonka Reference

Poifect!
November 16th, 2019 at 6:23 PM ^
To be fair, Staee DID slaughter us in punt kick yardage.
November 16th, 2019 at 8:32 PM ^
They also dominated time of possession by 30 or 40 seconds. Still unclear how we managed to pull out a win.
November 16th, 2019 at 6:28 PM ^
If you had told me Shea would throw for almost 400 yards while never connecting on a real deep ball . . . well, I would have been rather disbelieving.
