Pick a 21st Century Michigan Player... With a catch

Submitted by 5th Van Tyne on

Name one 21st Century Michigan Football player that you would love to have on the team this year. The catch is that once a player has been named by a user, he can't be a choice anymore. I'll start off with an obvious answer of Jake Long, as an All-American left tackle can really do wonders to assuage one's doubts about the line. Now that Long is off the board, who's next?

No Denard yet... Watching him play Tailback in the Outback Bowl and Ohio State game was so much fun. 100+ yards in a new position both games — he would be an instant game changer behind even an average O-Line.

As much as Rivas' successors were a flaming pile of garbage, I generally like it when a field goal kicker's range doesn't IMMEDIATELY AND INEXPLICABLY expire at exactly 40 yards. It's not that he was good. He just happened to be better than almost everyone who followed him for damn near a decade...

A year with Greg Frey splitting time with TJ Wheatley and Bunting and 3 tight end formations would be de rigeur. Plus my daughter said he was one of the "nice" athletes in West Quad.

Chris Perry. Give the team a Doak Walker caliber back. I love Chris Evans but Chris Perry is the best back we've had in the last 20 years. He had the home run top gear. He could block. He rarely fumbled and he wanted the ball 25 times or more every game. He even carried it 52 times against MSU in his senior year.

Wormley's already on it...in his correct position. He played SDE last year with Charlton opposite him and Glasgow and Hurst in the middle.
