I believe this was addressed in the sticky.  The thumb up down may just be randomly highlited but it did not cast your vote.  I just came in this thread and a thumb up was highlited.  I upvoted it and it did register it.

Must have got downvoted by the PC crowd.  I really don't care about the relationship between gender and prize money.  It should be based on the revenue generated by the sport.  I don't really know if men's tennis generates more revenue than women's, but women's tennis is likely close as opposed to the large gap with the PGA tour vs. the LPGA.

(Tim Drevno) was going a different route with running backs,” Gray said, calling his early interaction with Michigan weird.

WTF was with Drevno?  So glad he is gone.  He must have been checked out the last year or two.

It really does for those of us that don't like tennis and cycling.  I've really enjoyed the World Cup but the consolation match doesn't move the needle for me.

It would realistically take a good day or two to really come up with top 25.  Nick Tortelli was one of my favorites though.

Not customary to my knowledge, but if it's on your heart to give them a little extra for a great job, go ahead.  I'm sure they will greatly appreciate it.  Maybe even consider the tip in the form of a gift card for dinner or maybe a nice bottle of something to drink.

Labor can often take a long time.  You might be able to watch it right from the comfort of the hospital room while your wife agonizes and gets pissed at you as the contractions continue to come.  I watched a couple baseball games during one of the births of my kids.  Just some advice too:  There is a machine in there that will show when the contractions are coming and going.  As you look at the machine, there is no need to say to your wife..."honey, here comes another one".  Trust me, she knows.

I like the crossovers and the SUV's as I like to sit higher up on the road.  I feel safer this way as I can better see what is going on around me.  Sitting low to the ground in a car is a bit unsettling.  I haven't owned a car since 1990 or so.  Since then it has been F-150's and now an SUV.

07/10/2018 - 6:10am I've been asking the same…

I've been asking the same question to my brother (soccer fan who watches the EPL every Sat morning) for years:  Why don't they just stop the clock?

It bothers me very much that there isn't a definitive end to the game that we all know.  We wait for the ref's whistle which is a bit arbitrary to me as they won't blow it dead if there is scoring chance.  Anything that is to be added to the stoppage time should be where they stop the clock.  Am I missing something here?

Football is the ultimate team game.  It takes all 11 to do their job on every play.  One player does not win or lose a football game.  Hart is a great one, regardless of their record against OSU.

EDIT:  should say "15 years or so since Michigan landed a bell cow in the backfield".  I am usually good at math...I swear.

07/08/2018 - 1:49pm The point is: It has been 15…

The point is: It has been 15 years or so since Michigan has had a bell cow in the backfield.  I'm 48 years old and up until Mike Hart graduated, Michigan always had a "stable" of really good/great running backs during my lifetime.  Always.  Since he left, it has been just ok, but nothing like it used to be and that is the frustrating part and likely the reason for this post.  For us older generation on this board, it has been very frustrating trying to understand why we can't land some of the best RB's in the country each and every year.

Now as time has gone by, many of the young folks and upcoming players don't remember when Michigan was loaded every year at both QB and RB.  The good old days we are hoping and expecting to get back to.  Hence, this post.

Kenny Rodgers was a 39th round pick.  Going past that, Keith Hernandez went in the 42nd round and Mike Piazza the 62nd.  There are a lot of really good players that go very late in the MLB draft.

Gerry DiNardo has been at peak annoyance since the 90's.  When he speaks, I do not listen.  He is #1 when it comes to former head football coaches that know jack shit about football.  Glen Mason isn't far behind.

07/03/2018 - 5:50am The attitude of this team…

The attitude of this team will be forged in Fall camp this year.  Harbaugh seemed a bit disconnected last year and seems to be quietly focused for this season.  He went out and got his QB and made the necessary changes to the coaching and strength staff.  I would expect a very focused camp as the pieces are in place to have a great season.  If they come out of camp healthy and united, with the mindset that they are better than everyone they play, they are going to have a better than predicted season.  The belief and a strong team chemistry are the intangibles needed to go from an 8-4 team to a NC contender.

07/02/2018 - 4:59pm Bradenton/Sarasota FL

Pros:…

Bradenton/Sarasota FL

Pros:

  • Close to the beach
  • Fantastic weather Oct-May
  • No State income tax
  • Great place to develop really good baseball players
  • No more freezing your ass off or scraping the ice off your windshield
  • Spring training baseball very nearby.  And then minor league baseball after that.

Cons:

  • Gets too crowded during winter from the snow-birds coming from the North
  • Like living on the equator from June-Sept.  Hot and humid every single day.  Today was a nice cool summer day with the heat index currently sitting at only 101 as of 5pm.
  • Old folks that can barely see and have the reflexes of a sloth, yet still drive.
  • You have to put up with the whiny Gator fans

HUEL had a great opportunity to showcase their work to thousands and thousands of people here, ranging from sole proprietors to big corporate execs and everyone in between.  Many of which have decision making powers and many that do not know where to turn for website help.  I can't tell you how many times I have been asked by my clients if I know anyone that designs websites.  This site may get to where it needs to be eventually, but it seems like rolling it out when it did they way it did is like fumbling on your own 1 yard line.

If he turns out to be a 3rd round pick in next years MLB draft, he would be looking at a signing bonus of $800k or so, which is about the average for that slot.  That creates a really tough decision to pass that up for a very violent sport with a short athletic life.  I know which way I would lean, but to each his own.  He is one heck of an athlete though and to be that good in two sports takes a lot of hard work both in season and off season.  This is a great addition to the team.

It is entertaining though.  When he is involved in a thread, it does get the most comments.  Content has been minimal as is the message board topics (see Ariana Grande's goofy looking boyfriend thread).  This at least gives me something to read while I sit here and drink my coffee on a quiet Sunday morning.  For that "bozo" comment though, the "bag of dicks" moniker is spot on.
