Pick a 21st Century Michigan Player... With a catch

Submitted by 5th Van Tyne on

Name one 21st Century Michigan Football player that you would love to have on the team this year. The catch is that once a player has been named by a user, he can't be a choice anymore. I'll start off with an obvious answer of Jake Long, as an All-American left tackle can really do wonders to assuage one's doubts about the line. Now that Long is off the board, who's next?

I didn't have stats and I was too lazy to look them up.

I feel like all 3 of them + Hemingway are right there. Same with Kalis vs. Barnum.

I'm surprised no one has said anything about Dileo being #2 slot. I really just did it because he was such a reliable player. Talent wise he's #4 though, but you have to put him on the roster because we need a holder since Moores isn't listed.

And "Braylong" ...no one can forget Braylong.

Devin Asiasi makes me sad, but that kid was oozing talent. I wanted to put Devin Bush Jr. on here too because I think he's going to be a MONSTER. But I couldn't get him in over Demens just yet. By the end of the year, I think he's on this list...by the end of his career he should be top 2 at ILB.

Ernest Shazor at VIPER! in Don Brown's defense gives me night terrors.

The backup CBs could be out of order, I didn't give it much thought...there's not THAT much separation in those 6. Same thing for the backup Ss...they're all right there, but just like CB...the starters are clear IM0. Last thing...ZERO chance I was going to add Boren.

Jake Long. No doubt.

A wooly mammoth destroyer of worlds who would make a questionable position group turn into an immediate strength.

You would run left on every snap and go for at least 6-7 YPC against almost every team you play.

Shawn Crable. Yeah I know the late hit vs. OSU tainted his career a tiny bit, but an athletic beast like that would be amazing in a don brown defense.

I would take either Braylon Edwards Lamar Woodley Mario Manningham Or Denard Robinson But I don't think a Harbaugh led Michigan would get as much out of him as Rich Rod.

Gimme a Glasgow!

I'll go with Ryan Glasgow, who Mr. Yost accurately named as the best Nose Guard in this century for Michigan.

Indiana showed what happens when you don't have an immovable mass in the middle of your line. The game is won in the trenches, and Glasgow consistently won his battles there.

Did we just give up on the 21st century part? Seems like a lot of names here aren't anywhere near the 21st century for players.

Mine would be Molk. Need a great center to anchor the line this year. Second choice would be Jabrill.
