Don't forget the South Carolina game from two years ago

Given the well-documented struggles of the OL since Carr left (and Jake Long for that matter), Ed could be my close second to Bo for favorite former OSU staffer (we've had more than you think)

My bad. I started another corrected thread

Aye, they put their pants on one leg at a time just like we do!

09/19/2018 - 1:32pm I'd argue BOTH Hoke and…

I'd argue BOTH Hoke and Harbaugh had virtually no one not buy in immediately that decided to stick around. It was part of the reason Hoke's first year and Harbaugh's first two years were so successful. Belief is powerful drug, but while the final verse may have to be written for Harbaugh still, once those initial players who believed departed for Hoke, he was a sitting duck

I disagree. Bill Callahan at Nebraska came before Rich Rod at Michigan

My bad. That was me editing out a link within the quote. Didn't realize the "against top opponents" part was already not a part of it

We would've had a genuine chance of losing to SMU if O'Korn was QB instead of Shea. Dude was money after that one INT (get back soon Higdon)!

If you run the option every dang play with pitchman available, maybe

13-3 as a starter with a rivalry win here. Would take Shea in a heartbeat but his record as a player is impeccable

Ohio State doesn't want another midwest rival to hate just as much as us. Easier to detach yourself from hating a blueblood if you don't play them at all

Make it about a fight for the soul of the Big Ten. The more we dominate the more justice will be served

I wholeheartedly agree. Just sitting back right now and eating my popcorn as two vile people/groups to Michigan attack one another

You had as many wins against tournament teams in regular season as lottery picks. That schedule was as soft as butter

I obviously want them to stay, let's not kid ourselves though, Gary is gonna go at the very least and I wouldn't blame him even if we go 6-6

He did, and I forgot about him, but I did say three-year players, and he was a redshirt junior here for four years, so technically I'm still right lol

This applies to OSU fans too from what I can tell

Any news on whether any basketball players like Jordan Poole sold his shoes?

Interesting enough, I don't think Bama has ever faced a Heisman in the postseason since Saban has been the coach. That would be a dandy of a matchup when that happens (if it's in the CFP)

Front seven is definitely a caliber of the Ohio State's, the Clemson's, the Bama's of the world. Shoring up the safety positions is the main focus for Don Brown as far as I'm concerned

08/09/2018 - 9:50pm As long as it wasn't Lovie…

As long as it wasn't Lovie Smith of Illinois and Chris Ash of Rutgers (both of them will say Michigan is a rival of their school after all) that said this, this should be a positive

08/07/2018 - 11:42am The enemy of my enemies is…

The enemy of my enemies is now an enemy of those enemies. Just like the Good (Michigan), the Bad (Ohio State) and the Ugly (Finebaum)

08/04/2018 - 12:17am Aye, but it painful

When…

Aye, but it was painful

What basketball had to endure was nothing short of a Roman crucifixion. 6 long years of a joke investigation (from 1996 to 2002), constant and laughable blowouts by our in-state rivals while we misguidedly gave the job to an interim head coach (Ellerbe), banners and a boatload of wins needing to go away, then 4 years after that with probation and some lost scholarships. Altogether with 18 years of sheer obscurity on the national landscape

How Beilein got the program to where it is now is a modern day miracle of a rebuilding job. Not only are we back to being the best of Michigan basketball, but I believe he has taken us to another level of elite consistency even higher than before the scandal happened. You have to go back to the Cazzie years to find a year we paired a Final Four with any kind of Big Ten title. John Beilein is without hesitation the greatest Michigan basketball coach ever. Maybe a top 10 coach in Big Ten history

08/03/2018 - 6:36pm Improbable, not impossible…

Improbable, not impossible. In terms of mitigating the dropoff in coaching expertise and leadership from Meyer to his successor I gotta say that could be very effective and close. When you think of the fourth program currently in the nation in recent memory to go with Ohio State, Clemson and of course Bama, you usually think Oklahoma, and Bob Stoops was around for it except for next year. I mean the guy had more Big 12 titles than home losses

08/02/2018 - 9:46pm Who were our coaches to not…

Who were our coaches to not leave unceremoniously (fired or resign or forced retirement)? Yost, Crisler, Bo, anyone else?

This could very well be a fireable offense, even for someone as untouchable like Urban

07/30/2018 - 11:27pm If JOK(E) wants us to keep…

If JOK(E) wants us to keep acting delusional and keep believing and telling our rivals everything is fine, then fine, but to call out the whole fanbase after contributing absolutely nothing productive for the squad just shows his legacy is now teeters both on and off the gridiron. I'd sooner invite Frank Clark and Taylor Lewan back to campus then this waste of a Michigan man

07/26/2018 - 10:19pm Interesting to see how good…

Interesting to see how good he can really be at the next level. At one point this Summer League we had double digit alums either with NBA two-way deals rookie deals or already established veteran deals. Feels like only a matter of time before we end our former player getting an All-Star selection drought (we're top 5 all-time in that category as a matter of fact), or better yet, an NBA champion or even an NBA Finals MVP (never had one win that)

Speaking of potential NBA success, I hear Trey is now getting Allen Iverson comparisons in an offseason tournament

07/26/2018 - 8:43pm Chattanooga actually has a…

Chattanooga actually has a rather prestigious history (at least for Southern Conference). Couple of D-II titles and a boatload of mid-major conference titles

07/26/2018 - 2:51pm He wasn't overshadowed as a…

He wasn't overshadowed as a player while here. But Chris Perry's successor, Mike Hart, sure did a good job of making us forget him as a fanbase. Let's not forget Hart never made it to New York for the Heisman ceremony. And Perry has two wins over Ohio State that Hart doesn't have (and one additional Big Ten title)

South Carolina attacked our safeties deep downfield and late in the game and seemed to have success

Don Moorhead came close last year. I think Miss State got a good one from Penn State

07/25/2018 - 11:21pm Need to temper expectations…

Need to temper expectations. Beilein would be the first to tell you this year's team will be a massive project to work on. Our offense was good at end of last year, but far from elite, and we lose virtually all of our reliable scoring punch from that team. Jordan Poole's development in many ways will begin and continue to tell the story of this year's team. In the end though I hope we can finally finish at least top-4 in Big Ten seeding as well as continue our streak of Sweet Sixteens (I want to get to AT LEAST four in a row) to make it another successful in the books

07/16/2018 - 4:18pm Ed Orgeron. I think that…

Ed Orgeron. I think that never was a popular hire down there, the schedule is third hardest according to FPI, and I always felt it was downgrade to Les Miles (even the later years of him)

07/14/2018 - 3:25pm Talk about a donkey punch…

Talk about a donkey punch. Still, this program has overcome far worse against all odds to become a truly elite program in college basketball. It doesn't weather storm, it is the storm

Beilein's cleaning house in the Big Ten recruiting. Currently leading (Wisconsin is actually second) the Crystal Balls race. Think he could very well be JB's first McDonald's All-American given his rankings (given we actually land him)

SMU we already got the score settled actually. Remember the 2K Sports Classic

It's crazy to think Moe could be on a championship team in his rookie year, assuming they don't trade him in a deal for Kawhi Leonard (or Boogie Cousins)

06/24/2018 - 6:38pm Opponents circle our game…

Opponents circle our game more than any other Big Ten team except Ohio State still. Naturally that means we'll get a lot of night games on the road. Our overall road record over the last decade is good for eighth (!!!) in the Big Ten. Until our road woes are resolved, nothing else matter for the football program
