This was the best game they played all year.

Wagner with copious cheap fouls, Walton uncharacteristically sloppy with the ball, nobody can shoot from distance, everybody is exhausted.
Michigan had no business being in this game for any stretch of time.
And they won. This is already the best conference tournament ever.
with MAAR in the first half and Zak in the second took care of the offense. Everyone played their hearts out on defense too and that was the difference.
Also could not care less about the foul on Swanigan- we've been getting boned all year, bout time we got a big call when it mattered!
The whole game was pretty bad, and we got an awful whistle especially early. It was a cheap foul on Swanigan but it's not like we didn't get seriously jilted multiple times either.
He wasn't "standing" straight. He was moving with Walton. You can't move with a dribbling while making body contact the whole way. It was a very easy and clear foul, especially with the rules put in place a couple years ago.
I wasn't home to watch most of the game, and when I got home I checked out the mgoblog twitter world (Brian and Ace) and decided it was best not to watch. Now I am full of regret.

We just beat the B1G's number one seed despite shooting 6-25 on threes.
If our shots are falling, we can play with anyone in the country.
If we wind up in the 8-9 game we will terrify whichever #1 seed we draw. Michigan just beat Purdue with tired legs, bad shooting, almost no contribution from Wagner, and star PG Derrick Walton playing an off game.
We could lose early still, but nobody wants a piece of this.
and rebound like we did today, we don't even need to shoot the lights out.
Let's but the "live by the three, die by the three" meme to bed for this team. We just beat a ranked team, conference champion while shooting 24 percent from three because we took it to the hole and played defense. This team can do it more than one way.
Exactly! You hit it on the head. Boy when they get it going though from down town, watch out. I mean how much different of a game could this have been down the stretch had they at least hit 2 or 3 long balls? Terrible shooting game but it doesn't matter. They handled a pretty damn good attack from the Purdue interior defensivly and took care of business on the boards. The Purdue shooters are damn good from the outside as well. Took care of business on them too. This is a recipe for success. I don't see how you can guard Wilson and Wagner when you get them on the outside. I would exploit that all day. Doesn't matter the size of guy guarding them. Them two are too quick and long legged to stop going to the hoop and you have to contest their three point range.
i dont think we will be dealing with an 8-9 seed anymore boys. Bang.
A small but gratifying bonus is all the the Spartoons tuning in to watch their game and having to wait through our OT win - no doubt rooting their green little hearts out for PU...
