Logan Tully-Tillman to grad transfer

Kid's definitely not been shy about moving around the past few years, but thought it was of interest with the schools listed

Just guessing, but he acknowledged his errors, paid his punishment, has been a model student-athlete since then, etc.  Spin it as a redemption where Michigan's tough love in kicking him off the team paid off in making him a better person.  It won't quiet all of the naysayers, but it passes the sniff test.

1. Appears in rap video with guns aimed everywhere.

2. Legal troubles involving sexual assault.

Now, you personally may not think #1 matters much. And you may think #2 was a "he said, she said" case of "just kids being drunk and making bad choices", and that "he paid his penalty regardless." But add #1 and #2 together, and I personally hope Harbaugh takes a pass. That is my opinion, and neg away if you will...

when he transferred /downloaded it from his cell phone to a PC that was the sharing that got him in trouble. Coupled with the taping without consent of course.

If I had a vote, it would be to give the kid a second chance.  Smart kid made couple bad decisions.  Most of us would be guilty of this as well.

Plus he has a hypenated name....

Whoa, whoa, whoa. It's rare that I get personally offended on this board, but go fuck yourself. "Rap video" most certainly wasn't code for "black people" for me. It wasn't my way of saying "thug." Yes, I would be just as pissed if it was a white player and a bunch of other white dudes flashing guns and talking about shooting people randomly. Guns are legal (I own several) and that's fine. But if you are a scholarship athlete representing a university, it is not OK to appear in a video talking about driving up to a party and shooting randomly at people. And if you think that IS ok, then there is something wrong with your humanity.

You dont see your own assumptions. See, you assumed that by saying "rap video" we would know that the video involved "talking about driving up to a party and shooting randomly at people." I had no idea that the video you were talking about included those things, because for me, "rap video" is not a euphemism for "talking about driving up to a party and shooting randomly at people." You made that assumption.

I dont care what the vido had in it, for its content in no way means that LTT is in favor of shooting people. My point is that maybe you should be a little more aware of your assumptions.

First, I apologize for getting pissed. That's on me. After this, I am on a self-imposed "time-out" from this thread. :-)

Second, I only assumed that everyone remembered that incident, and thus the video. I used the generic "rap video" when I could have said "video," not because i assumed the racial overtones or genre would convey anything at all. The screen shot and imagery looks terrible; it's LTT standing behind four dudes all of whom are pointing guns at the camera. The lyrics are unequivocal about what they intend to do with those guns.

Third, people can disagree with me all they want. Call me racist (I am anything but). And in the end, my opinion means exactly zero to what will actually happen here. So, there it is!

If you are going to besmirch a former (and possibly future) member of the team, at least make some effort to get the facts right.

LTT was NOT involved in a sexual assault. He recorded hmself and his partner having consensual sex. That's a crime, but it is not an "assault".

There was no "he said, she said." Both parties agreed to what happened and LTT admitted it immediately.

Now you may think that he doesnt deserve to be back on the team, and that's up to you but there is a HUGE, HUGE difference between rape/sexual assault and what LTT did, and I shouldn't have to explain to you why.

P.S. I always wanted to say "besmirch"

Don't see how. He got his facts wrong, but I don't want someone who records videos on his phone back on the team either. Yes. We all do dumb shit, but I think few of us would do something like this. It's not rape, but I guarantee she still feels beyond violated. So no... I don't want him representing the institution I know and love and I don't think that is out of line one bit.

COming back cause this is important. Dont let your desire to have the best team cloud your judgement. THis was completely wrong and he shouldnt represent us, assuming you are an alum. Guess you need to talk to more women. Or you dont have a daughter. Cuase my wife and daughter both think you're an asshole for even questioning if she feels violated.

for actual info (which in retrospect was probably easy to look up but I was looking for specific scouting reports on him with no luck, smart to check here for at least an indirect asssessment).

Definitely would like to see a guy you'd want to start in the Big Ten as a top six tackle in the MAC, but still possible he'd be the best tackle on Michigan (yikes).
