I'd like to see the remaining offensive board fill up as:

OT - T. Keegan or D. Ike

WR1 - K. Ford or C. Johnson (in that order or both if room) or T. Raphael (if they miss on the others)

Slot/APB - G. Jackson or W. Robinson (whoever commits first)

07/03/2018 - 2:05pm You're missing Kyle Ford as…

You're missing Kyle Ford as a top target.  He's lighting up the opening as likely the best WR their.  Additionally, he's recently spoken quite glowingly of Harbaugh and intends to take an official to UM.  He enjoyed his first visit and his time with Harbaugh.

07/01/2018 - 9:53pm It's looking like Jackson…

It's looking like Jackson had some of the best numbers at the Opening.  He might be a take now for the staff.  It might be a one spot for Robinson and Jackson and whoever commits first gets it.  Not sure.  I like both and would be happy with either.

06/30/2018 - 4:32pm The coaches were apparently…

The coaches were apparently pushing hard for both. They both have really high upside. Ojabo is a little more raw at this point. He might be faster, but Fletcher is quite athletic himself. Ojabo has the potential to be larger and to slide inside. Fletcher appears to be more of a DE. They're both good talents.

The new look is better, but there could be some additional tweaks to provide a better user experience, especially for mobile.  Welcome back, OP.

Swap the position of diaries and message board on the front page.  Shrink the banner height. Hopefully once the "Hail" banner/ad is removed the message board and diaries will slide up as well.

He's just guessing. There hasn't been any info to suggest that Pep's role has been reduced.  He kept the same title and McElwain didn't get an OC or associate title, nor did Warinner.

Ha.  What a funny non-Anglo name.  It's ethnic so it's hilarious.

05/18/2018 - 4:26pm Just an FYI, UM is opposed to

Just an FYI, UM is opposed to those two bills as well.  It's not a good look for MSU, but the legislation is problematic from the institutions' perspective for a number of reasons.  Currently if a rogue UM/MSU employee (security guard for example) committed sexual assualt by threat of a weapon while at work, and the victim was under 18 and wanted to sue UM/MSU, the victim would have to file the claim in the MI Court of Claims and comply with the filing rules of the applicable statute (i.e., within 1 year after the claim accrued and the claim would be time barred unless instituted within 3 years after the claim accrues).

Under the proposed new statute, this victim could sue UM/MSU for their employee's conduct at anytime (even 50 years later).  You can see why most public institutions would be opposed to this legislation.  It's still asinine to include it in the settlement agreement from a PR perspective.

I prefer to dress comfortably when I fly. Generally, I only wear suits if I'm trying to get upgraded to first class. Didn't know they made suits just for flying.

NCAA guidelines. The deliberately want to prevent football programs from stashing players on the basketball, baseball or any other intercollegiate team.

04/16/2018 - 10:18pm Add the stats of the year immediate preceding and

Add the stats of the year immediate preceding and the year immediately following the years that Pep was there. These QBs (outside of Luck and maybe Hogan) were still shitty. In several instances they were more shitty the year before and after Pep left: Smith, Greise and a few others. So this doesn't show much. Do you think if Steve Kerr went to the Lakers they would be good? Hell, we already have that experiment. Luke Walton was the best coach (record-wise) the year he sat in for an injured Kerr. Walton ended up coaching the all-star game. His record has been shit at the Lakers. Is he a bad coach or does he have bad players?

His coach said he's either an interior lineman or a defensive lineman.  Unless he grows (or his arm length increases), I doubt he's a tackle.

Barnhart is definitely a take and will likely be committing to UM this week. He doesn't play great talent but he's a basketball player and former TE that outgrew the position. He's preformed well at the camps he's attended so far and if he continues to be solid at these camps will get a bump in the rankings. We'll likely be kicking ourselves if he ends up at MSU.

04/14/2018 - 9:30pm Snyder isn't doing much if anything to remove the

Snyder isn't doing much if anything to remove the board members. I'm sure he's aware and may be concerned with the optics of removing them. Snyder has his bachelor's (general studies - I know a fake degree according to MSU fans), MBA and law degree all from UM. That may contribute to his hesitance to remove the entire MSU board. Under the Michigan constitution, however, he has the right to remove them in addition to the statutory authority to do so.

04/08/2018 - 1:29pm I didn't have a positive or negative opinion of

I didn't have a positive or negative opinion of Pep last year. I thought consistency would be good for the offense if he stayed, but also wouldn't have been disappointed if he left. What I don't get is the certainty that he's a bad coach. How does anyone outside of Schembechler Hall know how much blame should be apportioned to him. The execution was decidedly poor. That could be primarily caused by the coaching, playcalling or QB talent. It's difficult to tell. I hope the offense improves and (assuming Shea is eligible) the QB talent should be there. Additionally, the O line should take a step forward.

04/08/2018 - 1:20pm Look how John and Jack move compared to Jim. Jim

Look how John and Jack move compared to Jim. Jim walks like he had two hip replacements and perhaps a knee replacement. Playing as long as he did will take a toll on you. Have you seen how NBA coaches, who played, walk? Looks painful.

04/08/2018 - 12:07pm Some of these hot takes are crazy. Do you see how

Some of these hot takes are crazy. Do you see how many people are in the booth with the offensive coordinator? Using a collective approach to calling plays is used in many organizations both pro and college alike. Just because you didn't like the outcome on the field doesn't mean you have any sense for what works from a play calling standpoint. This is the method Harbaugh used all the way back to San Diego. It's worked well in the past. If there was a sole OC, he would be soliciting input from his offensive assistants.

Also, why the hell would UM football or Amazon care enough to rehab Pep's perception, but not Drevno's? This is one of the worst takes. Harbaugh is so concerned about what the public thinks of his passing game coordinator that he hired a video crew to record the whole season and make the PGC look better to the public. How does that even makes any sense?

04/08/2018 - 10:12am How do you know that was Pep though. Pep didn't

How do you know that was Pep though. Pep didn't want to go with the play where McKeon fumbled the snap and expressed that to Harbaugh. Harbaugh opted to proceed anyway, which resulted in a fumble. Sometimes a player (O'Korn) is maxed out talent-wise.

You can't always blame the coaches for everything. Did you see how giddy Pep and the other coaches in the booth got against OSU when they called a perfect play on UM's last possession and O'Korn just blew it. The safety was exactly where he needed to be. That play call leads to a TD with a competent QB.

In Drevno's defense, he was asking Harbaugh if the center-qb exchange/snap was okay. Harbaugh was the one taking the snap from Spanellis.

You're just making things up. Harbaugh decided to have Amazon edit a docuseries to make himself look quirky but make Pep come off great. Why? Because other coaches think Pep can't coach? Conspiracy theorist will believe anything.

Chris Evans in the game vs OSU: "Work on that tackling... that's what you get paid for, cuz." Is he acknowledging O$U? Also loved when Chase told the Wisconsin tackle to protect his QB after a sack. Ha.

Kept wondering why no one started this thread or wondering if I'd missed the thread. Definitely a good series. It was difficult rewatching those losses, but it made me remember how close the difference is between a successful and a bad season. If we had a serviceable QB, our season is completely different. The coaches essentially expressed that in the show.

It would be great for them to do it again next season. The story arcs were good. Karan's daughter is adorable. Rashan truly cares and got emotional about losses. Harbaugh really internalizes those losses.

Pep came across pretty well. I would/will love to see him scheming with a QB that is playing competently. Chase is hilarious. Asking the Bearcats for the play: "Pass or run? Help a brother out."

DPJ and Tarik look like the best WRs and they were true freshman. That's kinda sad, but encouraging for that position this year. Don Brown is a dude. Those speeches were like a general leading his crew into battle.

The QBs didn't come off great. Speight's girlfriend gave him a dose of reality when she said "well you weren't exactly lighting it up" or something similar after he was complaining about the public's comments.

04/02/2018 - 10:48am They also shot over 30 free

They also shot over 30 free throws against Texas Tech.  I don't envision that happening against UM.  Our D is better than TTU and we foul much less.

Nova isn't know for having vaunted defense. Good defense, yes. Their defense is ranked one spot below aTm and one spot ahead of OSU. They're a couple spots ahead of Loyola. We should get open looks. We also have had the best three point defense in the tournament. It seems like Bill Self didn't scout Villanova. They kept cheating off the three point shooters for help side defense. We won't do that. It'll be a tough game, but we can win.

03/26/2018 - 12:50pm It's really not.  B1G

It's really not.  B1G Tournament Title leads to an automatic NCAA Tournament bid.  So that's actually $50,000 for winning the B1G Tournament.  Additionally, if you think of it as $200K bonus for winning the National Title, which would you prefer as a coach?  A one-time bonus at the end or bonus increments per win?  In the end, if he wins it all, he gets the $200K, but if he doesn't advance as far, he still is rewarded.

He didn't make it there along with all the various sects of believers who incorrectly chose the wrong faith to follow. You're an atheist when it comes to all faiths but your chosen one. You're just as likely to be wrong. You might want to ask Mohammed, Zeus, Vishnu, Joseph Smith, etc all for forgiveness because you may have hitched your horse to the wrong deity. Nevertheless, I'm sure Hawking is just fine.

03/06/2018 - 5:15pm This is why getting upset

This is why getting upset about a given commit is a fool's errand.  The coaches know what they are looking for (even when looking at a diamond in the rough).  I refuse to devote any energy to being upset about a commit who is excited about coming to play for Michigan and who may not reach his full potential until 5 or 6 years after his commitment date.

03/06/2018 - 8:28am He wanted to go to MSU like his cousin Walton

He wanted to go to MSU like his cousin Walton (yes, the Walton who lived with Izzo and allegedly assaulted that woman). Walton is also from Lima, Ohio. He was also a huge Xavier lean until they had a PG (Goodin - who UM was also recruiting) who committed. OSU offered Zavier, but he chose the good guys. I don't think MSU ever offered as they were holding out for Winston.

It could be that simple. Of course, I don't have his contract, so it depends how it's written. However, in typical executive agreements that I've drafted termination for convenience/without cause could use a provision such as the following:

"Company may terminate this Agreement for any reason upon 30 days prior written notice and upon such termination Executive’s employment will terminate. I'm the event of such termination, Company will pay to Executive as severance in a lump sum an amount equal to the sum of Executive’s Base Salary for twenty-four months at the rate in effect at the time of termination (the "Severance Amount"); provided, however, if Company terminates this agreement for Cause, Executive will not be entitled to the Severance Amount."

It'll be interesting to see how the provision was drafted. If it's there typical Cause provision with a Severance added for Cause terminations, that's horrible drafting on Arizona's part.

$500 from one agent who was indicted. Look at how many players failed to sign with ASM when they got to the league. Do you think there was only one "corrupt" agency in town? The FBI had wiretaps on Dawkins, not the players. We can presume that these players were also being courted by other agents, who likely were willing to offer benefits as well. What we know is that it appears that Miles's mother received at least $500, at least.
