11/12/2018 - 2:54pm We are #27 on Kenpom and I…

We are #27 on Kenpom and I think that is about right for where we are right now. Villanova is #6 on Kenpom, BTW.

I would say we can beat Nova if we hit better than 38% on threes and 70% on FTs.

You can gauge how likely that is on your own.

11/12/2018 - 11:39am Nope, Alabama is much more…

Nope, Alabama is much more likely.

11/11/2018 - 1:35pm And you think SEC is going…

And you think SEC is going to just standby if 12-1 Alabama is left out? And guess who has the most pull these days?

11/11/2018 - 1:21pm This is patently not true.

This is patently not true.

In the case of everyone winning out except Alabama losing to Georgia, you can EASILY argue that Alabama deserves to be #4 instead of Michigan.

In that case, Georgia jumps to #1 or #2 (easy since ND's SOS is weak and they just beat friggin bama and remember 1 loss LSU was ranked above ND). In which case, Alabama's loss is better than Michigan's loss and Alabama is in over Michigan.

To me, the current rankings of ACC/SEC teams are pointing exactly this scenario. Not sure what this is so hard to believe for some...

11/11/2018 - 1:00pm That was an ugly game to…

That was an ugly game to watch. Unless Poole and Simpson find their game, I am not sure if B1G title is in play for us.

Poole is really disappointing so far. I would feel helluva lot better about this team if Poole was doing what Iggy is doing and Iggy was doing what Poole is doing. At least I can chalk that up to lack of experience and know he will get better. Poole really should be performing at a much higher level. I am afraid that he might be on Tim Hardaway track (great 1st year, not so great 2nd and 3rd, and really turned it on his senior year) instead of Stauskas track.

Which could be mitigated if Simpson was playing better, but he isn't. He is getting absolutely no respect on outside. His defender is collapsing to help on every drive, leaving Simpson. This is making our drive penetration much more difficult. There is very little drive to 3 point buckets and I think most of that is on Simpson. He was fine when we had other shooters around him like last year, but with this team, I am not sure if you can really afford to have Simpson out there even with his elite defense. He is like a black hole on offense. I know this team will get better, but unless there is some major development on new guys, I am not sure if this team can hit a much higher ceiling than barely making the tourney.

11/07/2018 - 11:47am Is this really even a…

Is this really even a question. Of course they will. I think the committee would put 3 teams from SEC in to CFP if they could.

B1G, PAC12, and Big12 should just bow out of CFP after this season and form their own playoffs (winners from each conf plus one wildcard), and let ACC and SEC have their own playoffs. Then the winners of each can meet for the national championship. The current system is WAY to slanted for ACC/SEC.

10/22/2018 - 5:28pm I vote for both as well. Not…

I vote for both as well. Not sure what the point of this thread as if we beat OSU, we are in the playoffs. There really is not a scenario where we get in after losing to OSU.

10/22/2018 - 5:02pm That is not quite what I…

That is not quite what I meant. I do not think the OSU loss will encourage a ref to call the game any differently. However, I do think that it would encourage B1G office to make sure they assign the most unbiased referees that they can find (especially someone not from Ohio or has ties to the OSU program). Just having unbiased referees for THE GAME probably is worth 4 to 7 points on our side. Let's face it, all Delaney cares about is the Benjamins and if it looks like Michigan is the only hope for the playoffs for B1G, I would think he will do what he can to help us out.

10/22/2018 - 1:02pm I endorse this message.

I endorse this message.

10/22/2018 - 9:52am Bronx, you and I share the…

Bronx, you and I share the over-arching dread about refs ruining our playoff chances. What do you think about my hypothesis that OSU losing to Purdue is even bigger than it looks because it definitely puts us in a much better path to the playoffs and it will be in B1G's best interest for UM to win in THE GAME (and hopefully will not assign a bunch of Ohio homers to ref the game). I am almost hopeful that we may get a fair shake. What do you think?

10/21/2018 - 12:28am I think you need to take…

I think you need to take your rose colored glasses off. Alabama is in (even if they lose one), ND is probably going to win out (even if they lose, it will not be by 29 to Purdue). Clemson ain't losing. That only leaves probably one spot. Georgia/Alabama/LSU finishing with one loss will be ahead of OSU. If Oklahoma/Texas finishes with one loss, they will be ahead of OSU as well.

Yes, crazy things can happen and OSU could be back in, but right now, that is pretty unlikely. And as long as B1G believes their best chance lies with Michigan, we should get a much fairer outing at Columbus.

10/21/2018 - 12:09am I don't know if we are going…

I don't know if we are going to end up winning B1G East, but I know one thing for sure, OSU ain't going to the playoffs, even if they win out rest of the season. There is no way the committee is going to put a team that lost by 29 to Purdue in playoffs.

And that is going to be a HUGE help in our cause. Why?

If we go to OSU game undefeated in B1G, it is in the league's best interest that we win that game, because we will be the only team that will be playoff eligible. That means it is much less likely that we will have bunch of homer refs that OSU routinely has for the game. B1G will probably make sure that we have every chance to win that game, for their own sakes. That is a HUGE factor in our favor. I feel much better about our chance for THE GAME, after tonight.

10/06/2018 - 7:32pm Who would have know Ronnie…

Who would have known Ronnie Bell was such a huge pick up for that class? He is going to play a huge number of snaps for the next 3 to 4 years.

10/02/2018 - 1:48pm I've been on Warde sucks… I've been on Warde sucks bandwagon for awhile, and I could not care less if he yells or not. I want to see some results. We are arguably the top brand in B1G and we are not getting the treatment we deserve. We should demand favorable treatments, never mind fair treatments. If not, we should actively investigate leaving the conference (or at least threaten it). But I suspect nothing will change until we get a new AD. I really believe that we will not win another B1G championship until the change is made.
10/02/2018 - 1:42pm No this is why Gene Smith is… No this is why Gene Smith is not fired even after all the recent shenanigans. While our AD is just sitting on his hands whistling sweet nothings.
10/02/2018 - 1:37pm As someone who is well… As someone who is well versed in kimchi, the video of that guys sitting there eating kimchi like some snack is just very wrong. Kimchi is and always will be a side-dish whose acidity and spice-level is meant to balance the sweetness and fattiness of meat and rice. Even Koreans don't just sit there and eat kimchi by itself.
09/30/2018 - 11:36am I couldn't care less about…

I couldn't care less about public display of outrage. I only care about the results. We lost our B1G championship in 2016 because of homer refs that OSU featured. Things should have been fixed then. It has not gotten any better. We are not even getting our share of home game calls let alone away games. That is on Manuel. He is the only one who can fix this issue.

09/30/2018 - 11:14am Yup, I don't expect things…

Yup, I don't expect things to get any better with Manuel in charge. This is where we really miss having somebody like Bo as the AD. He would be raising holy hell at B1G officials right now. Forget the calls that are getting called on us, we are getting boned on calls not being made on opponents as well with non-holdings and no PI's like we saw against Nebraska. We are going to lose more games and probably half of that will be due to poor officiating.

Manuel might be THE biggest reason why we may not win another B1G Championship for awhile.

09/24/2018 - 10:22am It is not very predictive…

It is not very predictive after only 3~4 games. It will be more accurate later down the year.

09/24/2018 - 1:03am Admit it, you made the… Admit it, you made the change, didn't you? If it was at least funny I can see why you would come here to brag about it, but I see no humor in it...
09/24/2018 - 12:59am BB, I share your concerns… BB, I share your concerns about officiating. If that game was close, officiating would have played a big part on who won that game and it was absolutely atrocious. If this is happening with our home games, just think about what we can expect when we go on the road to East Lansing and Columbus. I just feel like we are going to lose 1 or 2 games this year almost purely because of officiating (we win at Columbus 2 years ago with true neutral officials). I just hope people don't start getting their hopes way too high again because we still have some rough roads ahead.
09/22/2018 - 6:21pm I don't think the penalty is…

I don't think the penalty is too harsh. This rule is for his own safety. Tackling like that is going to cause concussions and if he keeps it up, he may end up with CTE. He needs to learn not to tackle with his head. Hopefully the harshness of the penalty will discourage him in the future.

09/18/2018 - 12:12pm Rudock was pretty banged up…

Rudock was pretty banged up going into the game.

09/11/2018 - 12:56pm I am just wondering how the…

I am just wondering how the Neanderthals at RCMB are going to start victim shaming on this one...

09/10/2018 - 1:45pm I am still not as positive…

I am still not as positive as you are about our schedule. I don't care how bad MSU looks right now, by the time we play them, they will play like a world beater. And our schedule is tough because of so many road games with tough opponents. Even if they are not quite as good as we expected, the road crowd/refs will not be kind to us.

I am now sure that our WR/QB are light years better than where we were last year. I am still very sure that our OL is no better than last year. Defense is probably about equal or slightly better (not significantly better like we were expecting) than last year. That tells me we are still looking at 9-3 by the end of the season.

09/10/2018 - 11:54am Not sure how that is obvious… Not sure how that is obvious. Nothing I see in the video says I should over-rule the official on the field with the best view.
09/04/2018 - 9:30pm That is because they are too…

That is because they are too busy tearing down student athletes and calling for the firings of everyone involved after every loss. If we were all civil, then this place would not be so unbearable after every loss.

09/04/2018 - 2:44pm I wonder what is going to…

I wonder what is going to happen to all the reasonable folks on this site this year. Looks like the loonies are taking over and Brian is to apathetic to care. I keep saying that we can be SIGNIFICANTLY better than last year and still finish with the same record and I don't think people understand that. The offense actually looked better than what I expected as QB and WR look much better than last year. I expect offense to continue to improve and Patterson to replicate what Rudock was able to do. The only question is whether or not the tackles will get better enough for that to matter. This is going to be a long year...

09/02/2018 - 11:36am I have to agree with this…

I have to agree with this. The key play is our AD not acting like a friggin AD and just accommodating ND and Harbaugh for whatever they want. When you have a schedule like we have this year where we play on the road for all of our major rivals, adding yet ANOTHER road rivalry game is just insane. When you add how ND treated us (how they ended the last series, forcing us to start away, and the band location, etc.), put me on the bandwagon for fire Manuel bandwagon.

09/02/2018 - 11:30am Meh, last night didn't…

Meh, last night didn't change much for me. I started a thread earlier this year saying that even if the offense is SIGNIFICANTLY better this year, we will probably still end up with a similar record as last year due to the tougher schedule. It is pretty much what I expected, no change for me (and offense does look a lot better).

08/31/2018 - 11:01pm I still remember this play…

I still remember this play like it was yesterday. I had my seat looking straight down the end zone line and I remember how poerfectly horizontal Desmond was when he made that catch. It was like time slow down so that I can soak up all the amazingness. What a play.

08/30/2018 - 11:30am I am not sure what you mean…

I am not sure what you mean by "if computers decided these games". All the numbers are just percentages. Computer isn't "deciding" who is going to win, it is just telling you how likely it is. Even with the percentage above, it means Michigan should win 1 out of 3 games. That is a pretty significant chance of winning.

I am not sure how accurate the ESPN's model is, but if you polled all college football "experts" and averaged them, it will be pretty similar to the numbers above. We just think these numbers are too low because we are bunch of homers.

08/28/2018 - 4:17pm The computer models are…

The computer models are predicting 9 wins. Going 8-5 is a DISTINCT possibility, no matter what unforeseen circumstances are involved. You are basically arguing that ESPN is correct.

I also firmly believe that if the team goes 8-5, hell, even if we go 9-4, there will be a LOUD crowd on this board calling for Harbaugh's head. I would say ESPN is pretty accurate.

It just means we have a very large alumni base who like to gamble...

08/08/2018 - 3:16pm Our offense was one of the…

Our offense was one of the WORST in the country last year. Even if we are significantly better, you can end up average or little worse than average. That probably will not be good enough to win B1G in a tough division.

08/07/2018 - 4:32pm Let's go one by one:

1…

Let's go one by one:

1. Does not matter, under Title IX, all university employees MUST report any violation of this nature related to university. Courtney Smith is not an employee, she has no responsibility to report, but Shelley Meyer does.

2. Not sure what you are getting at, even if she showed the divorce file, it is up to her since it has not been published by McMurphy.

3. Again, does not matter, even if the victim wants to keep it private, the employee of the university has the obligation to report

4. Why should McMurphy vouch whether or not Courtney has been paid by somebody else? Only ting McMurphy should care is whether or not Courtney is being truthful.

5. Again, her income has nothing to do with this.

6. If you follow the pattern, it is pretty obvious that McMurphy has pretty solid set of corroborating evidences (because he is actually a reporter)

7. I am sure their kid saw all of it...

8. You mean apart from Zach's confessions on the text and actual photos? Are you going to keep moving goal posts if they find more?

9. I am sure she would be more than happy to do so under oath.

STOP BLAMING THE VICTIM YOU ASSHOLE. This world is a worse place because of low-life like you.

08/07/2018 - 4:22pm Following the same logic,…

Following the same logic, why should Joe Paterno be fired and demonized? Because his assistant coach was accused of molesting boys?

I am sure you guys were singing a different tune when it was PSU...

08/07/2018 - 1:27pm Go back and read my posts…

Go back and read my posts over the years. I have been very consistent about how winning is not everything and that morals matter (including Gibbons incident and Taylor Lewan).

There is no doubt anymore that your fanbase is no better than PSU or MSU. Sports is just a game, a hobby, entertainment at the end of the day. The behavior on 11warrirors right now is EXACTLY why victims of domestic violence do not step forward.

08/07/2018 - 1:21pm WTF are you talking about?…

WTF are you talking about? What do you think "misspoke" means? Do you have ears? Did you not hear what he said during the press conference? How do you even conclude that it was not a lie? Dude, you need to see how ridiculous you sound right now.

08/07/2018 - 12:30pm It is clear from her…

It is clear from her statement that no one in OSU AD contacted title IX department. The basically buried the domestic abuse within the athletic department, hoping that no one else would notice.

Seems like all the pieces are in place for Gene Smith to take the fall. I am guessing Urban will get away with a slap on the wrist.

08/07/2018 - 12:25pm If you don't want to be …

If you don't want to be "stereotyped" then go back to 11warriors and get people to stop victim shaming. It is full on blame the victim mode over there now and it is disgusting.

I couldn't care less about our record. Urban is sleazy liar and everyone now knows it. It is fine if you guys are okay with having someone like that as your head coach, sine we never expected better from OSU fans anyway.

08/07/2018 - 12:22pm Even Meyer admitted he lied…

Even Meyer admitted he lied. Did you even watch the video? He clearly lied, nobody mentioned anything about the arrest. This is just sad.

08/03/2018 - 4:39pm So, he is going for the Joe…

So, he is going for the Joe Paterno defense (I reported to management, my involvement ends there). Interesting...

08/01/2018 - 11:58am I will say 11warriors…

I will say 11warriors comments have been light years ahead of what I saw from MSU & PSU. They are actively talking about firing Meyer, which I did not expect.

07/29/2018 - 2:01pm I fail to understand why a…

I fail to understand why a gesture that is considered by almost every culture as a sign of respect and surrender is so bothersome to some people.

07/25/2018 - 11:49am I must say most of the…

I must say most of the comments on 11 Warriors have been quite civil and reasonable compared to what we've seen on PSU and MSU sites.

07/25/2018 - 11:43am I work in tech and I stay…

I work in tech and I stay far, far away from smart home devices like Echo and switches. Security on these things are laughable and expose your most private information to public. It will be a long long time before I jump in.

06/18/2018 - 10:17am We should be fretting about…

We should be fretting about the dumbfuck who created this schedule. I still have no idea why they replaced Arkansas with ND, at ND no less. It doesn't do anything to have the toughest schedule in the country. Only thing it does is to make it harder to get to the playoffs. We have bunch of idiots running AD.

06/06/2018 - 11:47am I just upgraded my entire AV…

I just upgraded my entire AV system (TV/AVR/HTPC). I have the journey documented here: http://www.avsforum.com/forum/26-home-theater-computers/2973110-time-upgrade-4k-hdr.html

For me, the important upgrade is HDR more than 4K. The increase in contrast and color is really eye popping.

I did a ton of research and ended with a choice between 75" Sony XBR900E (Rting and AVS top buy) and 65" LG OLED (the best possible picture). It was really an agonizing call, but I ended up with the Sony and I am really happy with it. The brightness and contrast is really great and some of the demo video are simply breathtaking.

05/25/2018 - 12:24pm This is silly, nobody is

This is silly, nobody is saying the it is impossible to become rich if you were born poor or vice versa. But the odds of that happening is pretty low. Most people end up in the same class, income wise, as their parents. Why is that so hard to understand?
