Buckle Up?

Submitted by FatGuyTouchdown on

Per MGoFish writer Garrett Fishaw, by way of hints through Sam Webb and Allen Trieu and a confirmed source, some very good news is supposed to drop in the near not-so-distant future.

Fishaw said it didn't have anything to do with Aaron Banks, who is announcing soon.

and I still can't see any reason for him to have lost his grip on the steering wheel in the first place. It almost looks like he just threw himself out of the seat.

If it wasn't that, he's got a grip weaker than a five-year old. On top of that, the idiot wasn't wearing his seat belt.

How the flame-throwing fuck do you lose control of a school bus like that? Was he driving over lava? Was he crossing the median? Did he just wake up from a nap? I mean.... holy shit. How to tell whether or not you're an idiot video 101. Hope there were zero kids on that bus.

I don't have any inside knowledge and am not ready to make conclusions about the inside info of others, but comments like this make me laugh for how uselessly vague they are. At this time of year, commit announcements become unusually concentrated. Resultantly, even I - apropos of nothing - could say "buckle up, good news coming [quote] soon [unquote]" and I would be inevitably/invariably correct.

You have just perfectly summed up recruiting info at the RCMB. Only it's all year long, instead of just the last couple months of the cycle.

Their insider over there has been talking up commit #17 in their class since August. Telling everyone it's a highly rated recruit that's a silent commit and getting all their hopes up. They have been speculating that it's Ambry Thomas. Turns out that it was Christian Cumber and he just committed to Colorado.....State.

Not really.

The recruiting experts on that board will suddenly appear and calmly explain why Thomas is in fact extremely overrated and will be a dud in college.

They will all then return to their regularly scheduled discussions about Michigan.

Actually a decent article from BR with original (!) quotes. I won't make a new thread because this one works and because BR.

Still, I think this is good news for us in a way that he's continuing to explore options that aren't Bama. I would much rather have the final impression this weekend, but I don't see Cal or UCLA as threats with the way their programs trended this season. Sounds like he's using his last couple of visits to explore his local options more than anything.

But yeah, don't buckle up for Najee yet. Save that one for later.
