Big win today!

We've got ourselves an interesting stretch coming up here: at Penn State, vs. Maryland, at Minny, and then back home for the big one vs MSU.

Let's do this.

Would be really nice to win all 3 heading into the final four game gauntlet.

Gotta feeling that Sparty will drop at least one more before seeing us. Need to split with them and Maryland at worst, then hope Purdue doesn’t win out with their easy schedule.

Should he a fun end to the regular season!

The so called magician Coach B. needs to recognize when Iggy is off, he is off very badly and probably get him off of the court. Anyone on the team can play defense as good as him so there is really no point keeping him out there if he is going to keep taking shots and missing them. He is way too mental when things don't go good from the start. He cant turn it around. Needs to sleep on it and reset or something but either way, you have to replace him with Livers.

FanInFargo - Troll, tongue-in-cheek, or completely bereft of basketball knowledge?

Every single fellow coach, every single commentator, and every fan half paying attention recognizes John Beilein as one of the very finest coaches in basketball.

Having an opinion is one thing, but belittling a brilliant coach is just dumb.

I just think Michigan could get a far better coach and they should start planning for it. If you want to win national titles, then go out and get the best. Michigan's best and last chance at winning a NC was in 2013 and Beilein got out-coached that game. Beilein is a good offensive minded coach but honestly, he didn't know how to coach a defense and he's been coaching for how long? Also, the guy has all of the resources at Michigan but he recruits un-athletic kids that cant shoot most of the games they play unless they are in Ann Arbor. Even then, they struggle often. Yeah I'm dumb because I say it how it is. Fuck you morons who think you know it all but don't know shit. Just a bunch of idiots feeding off of other idiots. See how far you get in life like that. You're all ending up in the same place. Nowhere!!!

This douchebag has to be a troll, right?

Or did he just walk through the Winden wormhole (Netflix's Dark reference) and has yet to learn that Beilein hired Yaklich or that we're putting emphasis on recruiting athletic scorers?

Everything he said is wrong.

Awesome win. In other news the idiots at the Selection Committee have both us and Sparty as 2 seeds.  How the fuck is sparty still a 2 seed?!?  I swear they all slurp up Izzo because of shit that happened 18 years ago.

It may very well end up that way too. I would not be a bit surprised if both end up 2 seeds.

Barring some surprises, UVA and Duke seem destined to be 1's; that leaves just 2 spots between us, Sparty, Tennessee, the Zags and Kentucky.

Michigan may need to both win the regular season title and make it to the B1G tournament final to get a 1.

No one is gonna want to be in our bracket whether we're a 1 or a 2.

Great to see that they have what it takes to close out a close one, even on a day when 3's weren't falling.  And Matthews is unguardable when he gets in that zone. Who needs 3's?

Gosh I ripped on Teske the first few minutes and I shouldn’t have. My bad. But him and Matthews were extraordinary today. I love Livers. That guy is a DAWG. Hits open threes, rebounds, makes hustle plays, I love it. @Penn state will be a tough one Tuesday night, just win on the road baby.

Teske was doing everything he could to avoid the early foul, even if it meant letting Happ get his. I can understand why you were frustrated, but it’s pretty hard to argue with the strategy, given how it worked out.

It’s similar to how we played Purdue in the BTT last year. Let their bigs get what they wanted, but take away everything else. Turns out it’s hard to win with only one player scoring, especially when they’re only scoring contested twos.

Until next game, when he's hot. Then it will be someone else who "should" sit.

Michigan needs Iggy's scoring. I love Livers, but he's not nearly as assertive as Iggy.

Iggy obviously struggles against Wisconsin's long-armed buzzcuts; he's still arguably our best offensive weapon.

Our biggest weakness is consistent scoring; all our guys struggle at times. Fortunately there's almost always someone who steps up.

We need this Matthews the rest of the season. For our sake and his sake if he wants to be drafted

Iggy being this cold would've been an L if Matthews didn't step up and Im sure come tourney time Iggy will have an off game or two

Wisconsin only got to the free throw line twice in the entire game (and missed both times). Coming from my sixth-grade son's basketball game this morning, it was great to be able to watch the game with him, point out various things we were doing, and say "THAT'S how you play defense."

Great result on the court and I’ll park this here for now.....we’ll have a big time visitor in the next few weeks as well. I’ll have more in the next few days.

Unfortunately, Sparty is not losing today. Hope Purdue does vs Nebraska and give us some extra cushion.  We still have to play Sparty and Maryland twice, tough stretch to end the Big 10 play.
