06/01/2018 - 3:39pm Welp.

Shit.

This is NOT how to begin a weekend.

05/30/2018 - 10:26pm That’s my alma mater.

Cincy Moeller. Yeah, I used to wear my Michigan block M hat to the games, while in school—and still did when I took in occasional games from time to time. It’s not quite the same shade of blue, or the proper UM block M, of course, but hey—close enough.

05/27/2018 - 9:25am Cavs will win Game 7 tonite

If Korver were out, I'd pick the Celtics. Love? Eh. I don't think it will matter.

I know that -- so far -- the home team has dominated this series (and, for the most part, it's happened in the Rockets-Warriors series, too), and I know that Boston has been pretty unstoppable at home, but...I think LBJ does his thing tonight, puts up 40+, and the Cavs take it in a very close game at the Garden.

05/15/2018 - 8:58pm Well....

I don’t think Steven Wilson’s ‘To The Bone’ has exited my rotation yet since it was released in August 2017. Other than that, been listening to a ton of stuff in the Wayfaring Strangers series on vinyl. Anyone else dig those?

05/09/2018 - 12:38am Go Iowa.

Does the 12-5 upset typically hold in softball, too? Here’s hoping.

05/07/2018 - 6:09pm Penn State.

For sure.

05/07/2018 - 5:35pm Ha!

I love it.

The answers:

1. Elvis

2. He rescued the gator, the UF mascot, from certain doom after Elvis took a bite out of a Georgia free safety.

(The backstory on Detective Sonny Crockett was that he played WR for Florida).

I only know this because I just started watching MV on Hulu.

05/07/2018 - 9:32am Trivia question

No using the Google machines.

What was the name of the alligator owned by Sonny Crockett—which he kept on his boat—on the TV show ‘Miami Vice’?

Bonus question: why did Sonny have this alligator?

04/28/2018 - 2:23pm Sweet!

Go Big Mo!

04/28/2018 - 1:51pm Yes.

FWIW, I read that Mo is NOT off of the Cowboys' board.

So...

04/28/2018 - 1:45pm Grant Newsome just Tweeted this:

Understand it’s a business decision and health concerns can be scary to teams. But you’re telling me that a kid with repeated arrests and failed drug tests is a safer investment than a kid who’s been cleared by Harvard doctors and played at an All American level?

04/28/2018 - 1:21pm The bottom line

I just hope Mo plays football again, whether or not he is drafted. I hope that his medical issues don't prevent him from seeing the field again. We all saw (many of us in person) what Mo is capable of doing. He was a wrecking ball in the Maize and Blue.

04/28/2018 - 1:10pm Obviously, we'll go undefeated.

/thread

04/28/2018 - 12:50pm It's best not to think about it too much.

There's a whole lot of huge plot holes big enough to drive trucks through in these films, but that's gonna happen anytime you have a film series with the premise being "well, here are these stones, and each has an INCREDIBLE ability associated with it." The rules kinda have to be made up (and adapted) as you go along.

04/27/2018 - 11:35pm Fun, but....

What a hot mess. And I get it. Anytime you have a cast that big, that is bound to happen. Still, this was a lot of fun to watch, and I loved how it ended.

04/21/2018 - 6:15pm Yup...

I admittedly did not even look at their schedule. You’re absolutely right.

04/21/2018 - 5:56pm Still hunting that signature (read: big) road W.

A win at Notre Dame would likely fit the bill. ND might not be a terrific team in 2018 -- but, at the least, I'd say they are good for 8-9 Ws, right? Winning there to kick off the year would set the tone, regardless of how ND ends up doing.

04/06/2018 - 10:39pm I’d argue early 90s.

But I know I’m a fossil. I saw my first WWF house show at Dayton’s Hara Arena in 1986.

04/02/2018 - 9:13pm Sing to the colors that float in the light!

LET'S TIP!

04/02/2018 - 8:53pm Correct me if I'm wrong, but...

I think TNT is airing the "pro-Michigan" broadcast tonight...

04/02/2018 - 11:36am 4 losses.

But yeah, your points are still valid. They can be beaten. They have been beaten. And hopefully they’ll be beaten this evening.

04/02/2018 - 10:49am In my pool...

I picked a Michigan v. Nova final game, with Nova winning.

Even though there's a bit of money involved for me tonight if Nova wins -- I'd finish in first place -- I've never wanted to be more wrong, EVER.

To hell with the money. GO BLUE!

03/31/2018 - 11:32pm I’m in Columbus right now.

Ah yes. It was glorious.

03/29/2018 - 4:08pm Why?

Which side backed out? Or was it mutual?

Yeah. This sucks.

03/28/2018 - 9:45pm Ballers!

That is awesome. Props!

03/27/2018 - 6:57pm Pitino to Xavier?

Eh?

;-)

03/27/2018 - 6:38pm Bottom line?

Mack was making 1.7M at X. He’ll be making 4M at Louisville (7 year deal, too).

Sanctions or not, if you think it was stupid for him to leave Xavier, well…

03/25/2018 - 8:57am 34 will be our new “most ever”

Yes? Yes?

Yes.

03/24/2018 - 11:15pm Loyola had a good run, and was a nice story.

It’s time for that little story to end. I’d root my ass off for them, were they up against any other team.

As it is, though?

Let’s send Sister Jean packing.

Go Blue!

03/24/2018 - 9:16pm Bull. Fucking. Shit.

I’m pissed. Let’s rally.

03/24/2018 - 7:07pm Sweet!

Let’s top it off with a big W tonite!

03/23/2018 - 10:58pm I really think we can take this whole thing.

Do any of these teams legitimately scare you, outside of maybe Nova?

03/23/2018 - 8:33am You can.

The team can’t, though. And won’t!

03/22/2018 - 11:39pm That game was a joy to watch.

How many Sweet 16 round games do you get when you can just sit back, relax, and enjoy your team’s beatdown of its opponent, almost completely stress-free?

I had a lot of fun watching this one.

03/22/2018 - 9:30pm We knew this already....

But Michigan is ELITE!

03/22/2018 - 8:24pm Loyola is rockin!

Wow. A ten point lead for Gryffindor!

03/22/2018 - 7:35pm Let’s do this thing.

Go Blue!

03/20/2018 - 11:07am Good deal.

I went to the last Spring night game, and I had a GREAT time there -- my first one, by the way. We had absolutely beautiful (near perfect) weather for that one, so I'm hoping for the same this year.

03/18/2018 - 11:43pm 7:37 you say?

Woo hoo!

03/18/2018 - 10:07pm In terms of Michigan?

Bring it on, man. Upset city only helps the Maize & Blue. On a sidenote, is any other team more of a beneficiary of this madness than Kentucky is?

03/18/2018 - 10:05pm I feel pretty fortunate to have three final four teams left…

I’m still very angry about not having the fourth one… But oh well.

03/18/2018 - 8:34pm Cronin fucked up.

Cumberland had to come out with 4 fouls, when UC was ahead by 8. When he fouled out with over 4 minutes left, they were done for.

I’m pissed.

03/18/2018 - 5:18pm So far…

Is this the greatest opening four days of the tournament, or what? Throw in the fact that Notre Dame, as a one seed, lost in the NIT, too, for the icing on the cake.

Cue the couch-burning!

03/18/2018 - 5:00pm I’m OK sharing that with Sparty’s opponent

Whatever gets the job done.

03/18/2018 - 4:54pm Hey, Cuse?

All ya gotta do:

WIN

THE

GAME

03/18/2018 - 1:01pm Why?

It’s every team for itself in this tourney. The perception of the Big Ten does not matter now that the field has been selected and the tournament has begun. Besides, you really want Michigan State to win today?

03/18/2018 - 12:12pm We are going to be playing after 9 o’clock…

Again.

I mean, look, I can’t complain about the Sweet 16, but a Thursday night post-9 PM start means that once again, I’ll be resorting to DVR after the fact.

I really tried to stay up last night… I really did. I just could not quite make it.

03/18/2018 - 2:35am On a related note...

Can we start before 9 PM once in this tourney? Please?

03/18/2018 - 2:34am Asleep.

I couldn’t stay up. Woke up about 15 minutes after the game ended and now I can’t get back to sleep.

03/17/2018 - 9:40pm Let’s get it.

Go Blue!
