11/20/2018 - 12:42pm Probably not. I'd go in with…

Probably not. I'd go in with the mentality of "we're not gonna get any close plays called in our favor, so we're just gonna have to win with cruelty."

11/20/2018 - 12:39pm I don't think there's anyone…

I don't think there's anyone better to deliver this speech than Jim himself. Why not? He's LIVED IT. Jim was the winning QB in back-to-back games vs OSU in 1985 and 1986, and actually managed to win in Columbus -- which has been damn rare in recent memory, to say the least.

There's no need for a guest speaker.

11/19/2018 - 5:40pm That would be fine, as would…

That would be fine, as would 42-7 for the third time this season.

11/19/2018 - 1:38pm This doesn't bother me. In…

This doesn't bother me. In the slightest.

Why the hell not?

There's no amount of "bulletin board material" that's gonna motivate either team any more than each one already is.

11/19/2018 - 1:25pm Interesting.

The average…

Interesting.

The average score is Ohio State (2019): 19.7 - Michigan (2019): 25.7, decided by < 5 pts 1053 times (20.8%).

In 5079 simulations, Michigan won 64.1% of the time.

I had the "home field advantage" radio button selected, by the way.

My official prediction for The Game?

Michigan - 28

Ohio State - 26

I think we get it done this time...but we'll be sweating it out until the clock reads 0:00, with our defense on the field to end it.

11/19/2018 - 12:35pm The season is obviously…

The season is obviously still very, very young, but as of right now, Big 10 teams collectively have a total of 6 losses. That's not too shabby.

Anyway, I'm pretty happy with UM's top 10 ranking -- and well deserved!

11/18/2018 - 6:00pm I know I'm feeling better…

I know I'm feeling better about this game than in years past when I actually WANT it to be close to ideal weather conditions. In past years, I have hoped for blizzards, monsoons -- you name it. Not so much now.

Let's hope that this rain holds off, or is very light.

11/18/2018 - 12:08pm I won't be there. A hearty…

I won't be there. A hearty salute to those who are going. Bring home a WIN!

11/16/2018 - 9:47pm Nice win! GO BLUE!

Nice win! GO BLUE!

11/16/2018 - 10:41am Ah crap.

Not unexpected,…

Ah crap.

Not unexpected, but damn -- the last time up, for Penn State, we really had to scramble for parking. I guess we'll have to leave even earlier.

11/14/2018 - 10:00am They have field turf, do…

They have field turf, do they not?

(I get what ya mean, though -- let's hope that his jersey is in tatters)

11/13/2018 - 5:24pm Syracuse can end all of this…

Syracuse can end all of this, this weekend.

Please, Syracuse?

11/13/2018 - 2:10pm Super analysis of the long…

Super analysis of the long Rutgers' run and what went wrong there. Yeah, I noticed that about Chase; he made a huge mistake, but damn -- look at that speed!

11/12/2018 - 9:49pm Of course, ALL OF US would…

Of course, ALL OF US would be more than happy with a 1-point win, having so many near misses and heartbreak -- among the blowouts -- vs. OSU in the past 15 years. That said, yeah...wouldn't it be just the best to blow them out, to NOT have to sweat through the win, and to leave their fans in stunned silence?

We can only hope.

Again, I'd be more than happy to win 7-6, though.

11/12/2018 - 10:23am Oliver was great -- but man,…

Oliver was great -- but man, if that endzone throw happens in Columbus (the first one), Oliver, YA GOTTA CATCH THAT, MAN. But yeah, he looked really, really good!

11/10/2018 - 2:47pm Is Ohio State still Dantonio…

Is Ohio State still Dantonio's favorite team? Apparently so.

11/10/2018 - 11:23am "Rooting" for MSU today.

"Rooting" for MSU today.

Yes, I'm not using that word enthusiastically, by any means.

11/10/2018 - 2:13am The Rutgers beat writers…

The Rutgers beat writers certainly don't think much of tomorrow's chances, and that's an understatement. Damn. Look at some of the score predictions from their guys.

11/08/2018 - 11:34am Hmmm...interesting...

FSU…

Hmmm...interesting...

FSU sucks, but Syracuse doesn't. And USC sucks, too, but hey...who knows.

11/07/2018 - 2:03pm Sorry, but I just don't see…

Sorry, but I just don't see how you do that. Game 1 counts. They beat us head-to-head, and have zero losses. Imagine a scenario where we beat ND and were 9-0, and they were ranked ahead of us at 8-1. Think ya might be a bit upset about that?

If ND goes undefeated, regardless of any narrowness of margin of victories, they are in, and I am 100% confident in that belief.

Now, all that said, I want that damn rematch, for sure. ;-)

11/07/2018 - 1:41pm Good to know. Thanks much!

Good to know. Thanks much!

11/07/2018 - 1:26pm Using the transitive…

Using the transitive property in college football this season could TRULY provide some interesting results, particularly in regard to Ohio State!

11/07/2018 - 1:23pm Well, as I heard one person…

Well, as I heard one person describe it on sports talk radio -- aptly -- I think, this is much less a playoff than it is an "invitational" tournament.

Still, we should be happy with our #4 ranking. The Committee DID get that 100% right. Let's just win out here and see where the chips fall.

11/07/2018 - 1:18pm TRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

TRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

(In all seriousness, I think he has a big, big game on Saturday. We didn't see him much at all vs. Penn State)

11/07/2018 - 1:17pm Just curious: are individual…

Just curious: are individual rankings by each Committee member made public, or not? Do they roundtable this discussion, or does each one fill out an individual sheet and then they make some kinda composite from that? I'm just curious as to how this process works, because I honestly don't know. I'd be interested, for one, to see Gene Smith's sheet.

11/07/2018 - 12:11pm I just...cannot...get over…

I just...cannot...get over LSU at #7 and Syracuse at #13. All I have to say about that is, okay, Cuse -- go out and let's see what you got against Notre Dame, then.

Mindboggling.

11/07/2018 - 12:09pm I'm all good with this, so…

I'm all good with this, so long as Shea doesn't give Dwayne any tips about OUR defense.

The gameplan for Ohio State is pretty simple, I would think. Running against MSU might be tough sledding, but damn -- just air it out all day long.

11/06/2018 - 10:03am Dan Patrick, the pride of…

Dan Patrick, the pride of Mason, Ohio (where I live!)

11/02/2018 - 7:10pm Ben Mason could time travel…

Ben Mason could time travel to the 1953 Michigan team and fit right in without anyone asking any questions.

11/02/2018 - 1:42pm Not bad. Not bad at all…

Not bad. Not bad at all. Football weather!

11/02/2018 - 1:41pm Tarik Black was spotted…

Tarik Black was spotted burning our excellent secondary in practice.

Just a guess.

;-)

11/02/2018 - 1:28pm That sucks. I get it, but…

That sucks. I get it, but that sucks.

11/01/2018 - 4:44pm YOU PUT IT THROUGH THE…

YOU PUT IT THROUGH THE UPRIGHTS AHHHHHHHH

Or something like that. Right?

11/01/2018 - 4:43pm Ain't happening.

Ain't happening.

10/31/2018 - 1:51pm We've still got a slight…

We've still got a slight chance of that.  ;-)

Although, if Michigan is fortunate enough to make the playoffs, that likely means ND does, too -- and THAT would probably put ND in the 2nd or 3rd spot, and us 4th, so any "revenge" couldn't happen until the NC game.

10/27/2018 - 7:13pm Whattya think, guys -- are…

Whattya think, guys -- are we gonna be able to move the ball vs. the Nits? I'm thinking yeah.

10/27/2018 - 7:00pm Iowa pulled a Pete Carroll. …

Iowa pulled a Pete Carroll.

10/27/2018 - 6:30pm A touchdown here and it's…

A touchdown here and it's all over in Happy Valley. Even a FG likely works, to be perfectly honest.

Edit: Welp. LOL.

10/27/2018 - 6:19pm Okay, I'm watching this PSU…

Okay, I'm watching this PSU-Iowa game and, well...I gotta say...bring it on. Either or both.

10/26/2018 - 11:12am Semper Fortis.

Go Navy.

Semper Fortis.

Go Navy.

Whatever happens, happens. We can watch it unfold, stress free. This is the joy of the Bye Week. Err, I mean, the "Improvement Week." Sorry, Jim.

10/25/2018 - 12:45pm 1. Explore Robocop-esque…

1. Explore Robocop-esque options for some of our banged up guys.

2. Get these plans approved by Delaney.

3. Dance.

10/23/2018 - 9:58pm I gotta agree. Sure, I want…

I gotta agree. Sure, I want Michigan to make the playoffs and win a national title. But first thing's first. Let's get the Big 10 championship. It's been TOO DAMN LONG.

10/22/2018 - 3:29pm I am good with this.

I'd…

I am good with this.

I'd say BEAT PENN STATE, but we've gotta focus on our opponent this week.

10/21/2018 - 9:26pm We've come a long way…

We've come a long way. Remember in 2008, when we were getting points vs. The Bye Week?

10/21/2018 - 9:24pm A few choice dumbfucks in…

A few choice dumbfucks in that Twitter thread, too, trying to equate the severity of causing minor property damage to attempting to severely injure someone.

10/21/2018 - 4:51pm Are you seeing that anywhere…

Are you seeing that anywhere officially?

10/21/2018 - 4:23pm According to my Amazon Alexa…

According to my Amazon Alexa, when I asked her the Michigan score this morning (because I had to), she said that Michigan's next game will be against Penn State at 8 PM.

So...

Take that for what it's worth. Perhaps not much. But there you go.

10/21/2018 - 10:59am 51% of the MSU yardage…

51% of the MSU yardage yesterday (194 yards total) was accomplished via Michigan penalties. Think about that for a sec.

10/21/2018 - 10:57am I just looked up MSU's 1983…

I just looked up MSU's 1983 season. Woof. (But hey, still a win better than our 2008 season).

But they were mostly competitive in all of their other losses that year. What a beatdown -- and, in East Lansing, too.

10/21/2018 - 10:51am Holy shit. 11 yards? I gotta…

Holy shit. 11 yards? I gotta find video of that game, somewhere. Wow.
