Hilarious watching them melt…

Hilarious watching them melt down after 3 straight losses.  The 20 year span of dominance ruined their expectations, and they can't fathom a world where we are back to equals.  Granted, they didn't have the dark ages with the end of Lloyd/RichRod/Hoke era.  Even though Hoke played Urban the toughest, even better than Harbs admittedly.

Everyone enjoy the moments, as we are still freshly recovering from BPONE.  It's been a great run so far.  My kids are very spoiled to see this.

To be fair, this entire site…

To be fair, this entire site is random guys on the internet.

What bigger fish to fry?  UM…

What bigger fish to fry?  UM in best position to win an NC since 97, so what else is there?  Jim not here to cure cancer.

Huge kick to the nuts right…

Huge kick to the nuts right there.  Harbaugh coaching in The Game is a clear advantage for us, and I don't think Sherrone Moore or rest of coaching staff is ready for the big stage.  Hopefully I'm proven wrong.  But this was our best chance for NC.  Now we go back to BPONE.... sigh

Not complaining, but I think…

Not complaining, but I think with Harbs on sideline we win 31-9. It did look like JJ got injured on the last run he had, so offense went into Carr era shell. It worked out.

Go Blue

Great game, boring to watch…

Great game, boring to watch as a casual fan, but going the entire half not needing to pass the ball was awesome. If Harbaugh was coaching, I would have loved to see a 2ns half shutout and more points. Sweet victory nonetheless.

Interesting, even -7 seems…

Interesting, even -7 seems low.  Let's be honest, PSU defense is really good, but that offense is no where near the 50 pts they scored against MD.  Our offense maybe scores 24 against them straight up, but I also see our defense get a pick-6 and potentially 1-2 turnovers providing great field position.  Realistic score is 31-16, with a sad FG in the final minute of the game.

UM - 63

MSU - 7

I see MSU…

UM - 63

MSU - 7

I see MSU winning the toss, driving 85 yds for TD on opening drive, then we fumble on ensuing drive, MSU misses a field goal, etc.  The usual first half shenanigans, UM up 14-7.  2nd half is a bloodbath.

Looks good, but poor choice…

Looks good, but poor choice for a night game with potential rain, where the opponent is going fully blacked out.  Probably should have done white or maize paints.

Either way, let's hope for 63-7 with starters out by end of the 3rd.

Wish I had two more hands,…

Wish I had two more hands, to give this comment 4 thumbs up

+1 on this point.  It makes…

+1 on this point.  It makes the wins so much sweeter beating a #2 ranked OSU team instead of the other way around when they beat up on 3-4 loss UM teams in the past.  I want OSU to come into The Game undefeated and ranked top #5 every year.  Your program is defined on who you beat, can't be the best until you beat the best.

Should be a competitive game…

Should be a competitive game but seems the chips are stacked against us due to injuries and lack of effective passing attack.

OSU 34 UM 23

Hope I'm wrong. Go Blue!

So fcking stupid, keep the…

So fcking stupid, keep the maize pants for OSU. OK if you wanna troll at Penn St with all white but come on now. We have the best color combo keep it traditional at least for The Game.

It looks like Wayne's…

It looks like Wayne's basement.

But it's really not Wayne's basement.

Isn't that weird?

None of this matters if…

None of this matters if Corum, Edwards, and Schoonmaker are all out. Not in the Shoe. Our defense can only hold them close for so long if we keep getting FGs.

Thanks for the Yugoslavia…

Thanks for the Yugoslavia shot out lol

Unfortunately - 22 sounds…

Unfortunately - 22 sounds about right, and a smart betting man would take MSU. I see this being like 2016, total domination with some scary moments and garbage time points to bring it within 15-18 pts, like 41-23 or some shit. Uhhh this is going to be brutal in the first half.

Metro Detroit and still able…

Metro Detroit and still able to see the grass, nothing to warrant the school closings for today.  I know the district will milk this until Friday.  It's sad that schools get canceled the first chance they get when it snows.  It's Michigan, we are prepared for snow.  There is nowhere near 2 inches now, let alone the 10-16 predicted yesterday.

In any event, be safe out there.

Terrible call to throw that…

Terrible call to throw that pick... I JOKE! This was the best coached UM game I've watched since 08 vs Florida bowl game. Fearless and ballsy, exercised the demons.

Great game and Go Blue

What a fantastic game plan…

What a fantastic game plan and execution by Harbaugh. He really coached the game of his life, and exercised his big game demons. It still feels unreal.

Can't believe the O-line dominated all game. I can only imagine if Corum was healthy it would have been even better. Go Blue and get that B1G!

Unfortunately, 10-2 with…

Unfortunately, 10-2 with losses to OSU and MSU is much worse these days than beating both and losing to other teams. We can't hide from Harbaugh's record against the rivals.

While I do have hope for this game, I think OSU talent and fiece hatred will push them past us in the 4th. 45-37 OSU.

What a mix of emotions. …

What a mix of emotions.  Great to see the dismantling of Maryland in all 3 phases, but I thought the same as Brian: "not good enough to beat OSU".

I had the same feeling as Luke when Palpatine told him "Now witness the firepower of this fully armed and operational battle station".  Welp.

Bold statement there, Cotton

Not sure why some UM fans…

Not sure why some UM fans are making a big deal about this.  Good for him, he took advantage of his current performance and the coaching market to lock in a fantastic deal.  Yes, it might make him the top 2-3 highest paid coach for now, but just like whenever a QB signs a record breaking deal, someone will sign a bigger deal next year.

They took a chance on hiring him, and so far it's panned out.  We were all feeling the same about Harbs in Year 2.  Now we are a country divided on keeping him for the future.  It will be very interesting how the rest of this season plays out (even though I think OSU squeezes past both MSU/UM and gets murdered by Georgia in playoff).

The rain definitely helps…

The rain definitely helps our game plan. If it keeps up, I say 29-27 UM with plenty of heart attacks as Harbs "follows the chart" and goes for two at terrible times.

It's so odd how the visiting team has won recently.

UM 16 - 13

UM 16 - 13

This deal makes sense from…

This deal makes sense from the University side.  Harbs has to swallow this pill if he can't find a better job.  Seems the NFL is not interested, and no other college program will pay him as much as UM right now.

However, this does not excuse the lack of balls from the University to set a deadline for the signing or move on.  It hurts the program to drag this out.

I don't view the extension as a "dead man walking" contract due to the lowered buyout, but finally the meritocracy that Harbs has preached since joining 6 years ago.  He didn't earn anything more than $4M/year, even though most fans think he didn't even earn an extension (including me).

Let's just get this damn thing signed so we can focus on the men's basketball team.

My biggest beef is that…

My biggest beef is that Warde finally emerges from the shadows to address a bad take from Herbie?  Come on man, we the fans deserve better.  He could have used this platform to be transparent about the testing process, then say something to acknowledge the team has issues this year, and make some form of commitment to try to keep The Game on as best they can.

I have a feeling he's giving Jimmy a pass for this season and gives an extension.  Just threw up in my mouth.

His resume prior to 2020…

His resume prior to 2020 season is worthy of dismissal.  2 years in a row of being blown out of the sea by OSU was the final straw for many.  Year 5 and no program identity or consistency, especially at the coveted QB spot.

Unfortunately, the AD might not view it this way.  Not sure exactly what Warde's criteria is for coaching evaluation, but if he offers an extension at the end of this season, then we have to accept that the Athletic Department does not value a winning culture and things will never change.

Sad that we are reaching a…

Sad that we are reaching a new low with each passing week this season.
Loss to MSU with first year coach and program in a tire fire? Check
Loss to Indiana, first after 26 wins in a row.  Check
Embarrassing blowout at home to Wisconsin. Same Wisconsin that couldn't put up 20 points on NW. Check
Triple OT win over Rutgers.  Rutgers? Rutgers.  Check
Somewhat competitive loss to 0-5 Frames. Frames whose clock management rivals Harbs.  Check

If we are lucky, COVID cases will cancel the Maryland and OSU games.  We are not that lucky.  The gods do not favor compassion or pity.  They want blood and sacrifice.  I'm scared to see the line for OSU game.

Hopefully the team comes out…

Hopefully the team comes out with energy unlike the Wisconsin game. If Cade starts I expect the offense will have some excitement. But I fear one turnover or few 3 and outs turns into a slugfest and we lose 31-27. Ugh

Why does this win feel like…

Why does this win feel like a loss? This is weird. Oh well. Good night.

Can they make Harbaugh drive…

Can they make Harbaugh drive a rental car back to AA?

It hurts to read this score,…

It hurts to read this score, because it's the most likely scenario.  Although I bet we score with 30 seconds left to get 23...sigh

Correct.  When I went for a…

Correct.  When I went for a rapid test few weeks ago they said accuracy is ~60% with symptoms and ~45% if asymptomatic, and I ended up doing the PCR testing instead.

The most BPONE is that…

The most BPONE is that Harbaugh stays for the rest of his contract.

Enough of the mask/covid…

Enough of the mask/covid complaining.  Game is over, season is over, Harbaugh's tenure is unofficially over.  We are back to 2014 dead man walking, which is the saddest thing to see in sports.  No emotion or motivation from the players.  This is dangerous as the locker room become split, and players tend to not care for each other as much.

Let's hope there's an amicable split before the season ends.  Harbaugh needs to resign publicly, even if he is fired internally.  Save face for the program and yourself.  Dragging this out hurts the players, program, fans, etc.

There is no benefit to…

There is no benefit to having FB, Instagram, Twitter, etc.  Unless you are a celebrity promoting your brand, nothing good ever came from expressing your opinions on social media.  These companies mine your usage 24 hours per day, and we don't get a cent from it.

On the flip side, I will say Tik Tok became damn entertaining during the bulk of shutdown.  That is of course until it got political.  Now back to watching sports highlights and car reviews on YouTube...

Watch the highlights on…

Watch the highlights on Youtube, then halfway through punch yourself in the face.  Be sure to stub your toe on the way to the kitchen after.

Good day sir.

Should be an entertaining…

Should be an entertaining game for non-UM fans.  For those still emotionally invested, its going to be a stressful few hours.  Michigan football back in full swing!

For those who have never had…

For those who have never had sugar free gummies, just think of the infamous scene from Dumb & Dumber...  basically the last two outings against OSU

If we are going to accept…

If we are going to accept good enough, then let's reduce Harbaugh's salary in half and stop outspending OSU and other top programs in recruiting.  Why put in all the effort and money to just raise expectations?

This take is fair, and I'm not mad at either of them. UM was never as good as we thought they were.  What skews our memory is UM always beating OSU in the 90s even when we were 8-4 and they were undefeated or had 1 loss.

Don Brown's defense still…

Don Brown's defense still gets torched by spread offenses and running QBs.  Usually offenses like Wisconsin's this year are good match up, but even then we got trampled.

If the defense can play like they did in the 2nd half of Penn State game against OSU, we have a shot.  I was always jealous of how Mork's defense could stifle Urban's high powered offenses.

Jesus, I need to take a…

Jesus, I need to take a shower and some antibiotics after reading this.

Great game. Great qb play…

Great game. Great qb play. Thought the offense was progressing well. Ran the ball well. Defense came up with big stops and forced big turnovers. Real proud of our team today, especially in a tough road environment.

- Harbaugh and most Joey Blue Skies fans. Probably.

Jeez, everyone needs to…

Jeez, everyone needs to relax.  It's Sports Illustrated, and one of the few national media pieces that isn't condescending or ripping Harbaugh.  No need to attack the poster.

Welcome to board, BlueBallBoy :-)

Solid points, although I don…

Solid points, although I don't want to agree because that is like admitting defeat.  On one hand, we don't want to seem like the stereotypical arrogant UM fan that acts like we are Alabama, but the other is accepting our place in the "upper middle class" of college football.

If 10 wins every 1-2 years is Harbaugh's ceiling and the AD is ok with that, then we need to dial back his salary and make it performance based.  Besides the HUGE hype train he rode in when arriving in AA, his salary is a big sticking point.

People lose their shit when a coach making $9M has job security being mediocre.

Mediocre is that guy at work that shows up to the office at 8:30am, eats his cheese sandwich at his desk for lunch, then leaves no later than 4pm.  That guy is happy making his median salary, and has no aspirations to achieve higher.  I don't want that guy coaching my alma mater football team that I'm very passionate about.

OK, but let's not dismiss…

OK, but let's not dismiss that State's success was due to Michigan being down.  OSU and Wisconsin were still strong and they beat them regardless of how bad we were.

Most State fans I know want to keep Mork, but are frustrated with his loyalty to staff and needs to let the reigns go on the offense.  Sounds familiar, no?

So now we can't make fun of…

So now we can't make fun of fat people?  What has this world come to.
