All whites tomorrow

If you look at the last twenty years, there are almost surely more bad white & maize moments than there are white & white moments.

I’d want to hit them with as much maize and blue as possible. 

Maize pants should always be the standard, home and away. I despise the uniformz nonsense. This isn’t West Virginia fergodsakes.

The all-whites are just not a strong look or vibe for Michigan. I can't agree with this decision.

I like the all white look in many respects and we disagree on a lot, but you are 100% correct here: Michigan and Ohio State should both wear their standard home uniforms. 

There's no longer a penalty, either--they changed the rule after USC and UCLA did time-out-trade  the first time. (edit: link)If the home team agrees and the jerseys have sufficient contrast, they are legally allowed to do so. 

And absolutely should. 

I thought it was a lost timeout, but I don’t know the rulebook well enough to be certain. Clearly USC and UCLA have found a loophole around it, but I think it requires both teams to agree to play in their color jerseys

No, not in the same town like USC/UCLA.

Color versus color would be a true authentic throwback for the Michigan - Ohio State game.  That is the way they did it for decades. 

The newspaper accounts of the 1927 Michigan Stadium game reference the scarlet jerseys of Ohio State.  And you can see that both teams were color versus color in the famous 1950 Snow Bowl in Columbus.

They did not switch to home color versus away white until the mid-fifties when black and white TV required the change for visibility.

We have color TV now.  Go back to authentic color versus color.  Michigan and Ohio State jerseys have the perfect color contrast for it.

I forgot about the white jersey blue pants combo. Definitely could have gone with that. 

We agree on so much, my friend. It's funny -- people here talk as if the maize pants are somehow the gold standard, but they're not. Michigan wore white often in the 70s -- including in the 1976 Orange Bowl (dig that maize and blue stripe, though). 

I'm not a big fan of the white jersey/blue pants look.  I don't hate it, but it doesn't seem as much of a Michigan uniform as the other combinations.  It reminds me a lot of Washington.

It’s such a clean look. Look good play good as the kids say. 

It is going to become fan favorite after we beat them and snap the losing streak. And they look really good. Our helmets pop.

I'm with you -- they look sharp. Personally, I think we're in a golden era of Michigan football uniforms. We have kept the classic look, no one is touching the helmets or adding weird extraneous garbage to the uniforms, and the use of different color combinations keeps things interesting. 

Same.  The stripes on the sleeves/pants add just enough color to complement the helmet.

I like it a lot. I mainly want it to make an appearance or two every year. 

To be honest, after three really disappointing outings in them (three--two under Harbaugh and that travesty in 1974) I didn't expect to see them again here. 

I know I’m in the minority here but I personally love the all whites.  

I think Clarence Thomas quotes veer into "no politics" territory.
