This will be the thread for hot takes regarding the overall coaching performance

Bravo indeed!  Now if only our University's marketing department/ administration had even a smidgen of vision to show off our brilliant school during the half-time ad they've been running all season.  I have no idea who they're talking to, or what they're selling.  Michigan is not a community college with local outreach as its dominant mission, and most M students do not look like sagging 40-year-olds. Such a wasted opportunity with every national broadcast, just embarrassing. And does nothing to inspire alumni to "gift" to the school.

This is the dumbest post I've ever seen.

UM wins the biggest game of the year, and you complain about marketing instead of lauding the effort and coaching?!

Your blue hairs are showing, and no, I will NOT sit down because I'm too deliriously happy and NOT worrying about marketing. Nobody gives a F about your donation-willingness!

Is this a troll? This has to be trolling.

I chose Michigan over

- being the first man to step foot on the moon

- taking over Apple when Steve Jobs died

- investing in Tesla

- taking the role of Kevin in Home Alone 1 AND 2

- defeating Thanos with the snap of my finger

- intercepting Russell Wilson in the end zone at the Super Bowl

- firing Harbaugh at the end of 2020

Beat that ya little trout sniffer

I just watched the 2016 game highlights on YouTube. I remembered the spot, but had forgotten about Speight’s pick 6 and fumble on the OSU two yard line. Games that are lost like that one and the muffed punt snap MSU have little do with the coach, but Harbaugh has had to wear them anyway. He’s never deserved the Fire Harbaugh’s!

Same here. When I saw the spread was 8.5 in favor of OSU, I figured if Michigan could lose by less, it would be a moral victory I could live with. That would still mean a 10-2 record, which was far better than the 8-4 I predicted at the start of the season.

Never have I been so glad to show that I don't know my ass from a hole in the ground.

He won this game.

His coaching will still put us in position to lose games like Nebraska, MSU, Penn State.  We pulled two of those out of the fire and gave one away.    I applaud him for the massive changes this offseason, and the overall attitude change of the team.  He won THIS game and it was beautiful and brilliant.  He is still very flawed.

I'll own up to it -- I was a Harbaugh hater. For years, he wouldn't innovate. For a couple years, he didn't even seem engaged with the team or with the games.

But he's done what he's had to do.

He's brought in better coaches and slotted current ones into excellent places. Mike Hart for the RBs. Sherrone Moore for the OL. Steve Clinkscale for the DBs. Ron Bellamy on the staff. Jay Harbaugh continues to make a positive impact.

He's improved his in-game coaching. The playcalling -- however that's happening -- has improved.

Also, I was a 6-6 / 7-5 guy. But this team is light years from 2020, and has a better culture than any team in the Harbaugh era. A lot of it starts with Aidan. He came back when he didn't have to. That's what we need -- that kind of example. That kind of leadership. The elites do it -- they convince their stars to come back. And some do. It was mentioned in another post maybe a week ago. This team has great student leadership.

So a rejuvenated Harbaugh. A retooled coaching staff firing on all cylinders. And players united behind leaders and feeling like they would give it all for each other. The team, the team, the team.

How anyone isn't on Harbaugh's side now is beyond me. Let's fucking go.

I have the uppermost respect for so many of the folks on this site who seem to have a substantial knowledge of football, certainly more than me.

However, the gang bang of Harbaugh at the end of last year exposed a lack of knowledge in this matter.  Most of them wanted Matt Campbell, whose Iowa State Cyclones were ranked in the Top Ten at the beginning of the year.  Not so much in the season, finishing 7 - 5 and not ranked in the Top 25.
