He ruined any positive…

He ruined any positive outlook one should have for him with his staunch support of Joe Paterno after the Sandusky incidents, despite the evidence showing JoePa knew. Harris went as far as carrying around a cardboard cutout of Paterno to a game and to speaking engagements. I'm not going to wax poetic on Harris today.

It might be a good idea for you to log off MGoBlog for a day or two and go watch the highlights from Saturday rather than commenting on multiple board posts about authors not meeting your standards this week.

This is the dumbest post I…

This is the dumbest post I've ever seen.

UM wins the biggest game of the year, and you complain about marketing instead of lauding the effort and coaching?!

Your blue hairs are showing, and no, I will NOT sit down because I'm too deliriously happy and NOT worrying about marketing. Nobody gives a F about your donation-willingness!

Is this a troll? This has to be trolling.

I haven't heard of it until…

I haven't heard of it until this thread so I searched on Reddit and found some reviews. I hope some of those are mildly helpful.

If you choose to buy some, let me/us know how it is!

Survive and advance, baby.

#1 vs #16, but survive and advance, baby.

Awesome post ripping the guy…

Awesome post ripping the guy that's undefeated against us.

She spawned the (very recently decided) 2nd worst president and was married to a career politician that cared more about riding a senile president's coattails and appeasing Goldman Sachs than anything else.

I'm not sad. Other people can feel how they'd like.

Go Blackhawks! I live in

Go Blackhawks! I live in Detroit and it's great to see my favorite team play here. I just wish they two teams played more often, like a protected cross-conference rivalry or something. It should be fun either way. Maybe they can meet up for the Stanley Cup (though I don't know if I'm emotionally capable of handling that).

It makes my feels feel

It makes my feels feel better.

I hope somebody in the media

I hope somebody in the media asks Harbaugh about those two plays and whether or not he's submitting them to the league office for review. In this way, it puts pressure on the Big Ten office to offer an explanation. I don't care about consequences to the Minnesota players (I'm sure there won't be any). But I want them to say, "yes, we missed those calls, those should be targeting calls [or at least one of them] and we will be reviewing our procedures with our officials."

I am sure this is a pipe dream fueled by tipsy-ness.

The crappy part is that the

The crappy part is that the officials could literally have watched the replay. If they had and said no targeting, then fine. But there was no attempt. If Bolden was ejected for his hit, I have no idea how these two hits weren't even reviewed.

Help, help, I'm being repressed!

And THAT'S not over the

And THAT'S not over the back?!

Whatever we think doesn't

Whatever we think doesn't matter. Coaches were important to Mike Weber, especially coaching stability, hence why he dropped Michigan down. Then OSU does this? The timing of Drayton leaving was too convenient. I'd think being honest and forthright with a 17 year old should be more important than getting him to sign.

As many have mentioned, a LOI is a really bad thing too.

Is this funny?

Is this funny?

Now that is 100% wrong.

There are 2 threads on the front page right now that are all about UM's biggest rivals. Have you read all of the CC comparisons including Meyer and Dantonio? We compare UM's successes/failures to its rivals all the time. Also, I was right behind these people at a game totally not involving MSU:

It's not a .GIF but...

Nobody cares about the

Nobody cares about the Michigan Man, it means nothing, it doesn't get the football closer to winning games, and keeps the program in the past rather than looking toward the future. We are becoming ND with all our references to past glories. Hell, at least ND made it to a national championship game. What does UM have to show for any of this? An uninspiring Sugar Bowl win? Screw the Michigan Man meme. And Paul Bunyan? Are you talking about the rough and tumble guy who's residing in East Lansing (and looks to be taking up permanent residence there)?

Board postings

are srs bsns.

I believe in the kids.

But it takes good coaching to bring out the best in them. Michigan is a talented team as evidenced by multiple services' ratings, but they have underperformed for years. What makes a good team great relies on several things: coaching is perhaps the most important. Under Luke Fickell, OSU went 6-7. The very next season with mostly the same players, Urban Meyer went undefeated. Michigan routinely outrecruits Michigan State, but look at who has been more successful lately; I attribute that to coaching. Hoke's record at Michigan has continued to deteriorate despite his excellent recruitment of players. He's the head coach and he is to blame.

The "true fans" talk is irrelevant to Michigan's on-field successes/failures. For the first time since I was 8 years old, I haven't gotten that butterfly feeling when kickoff for a Michigan game approaches. Does that mean I'm not a true fan anymore? I don't care. I just want them to win, and I want to look forward to Saturday football again.

What the hell are you talking about?

What the hell are you talking about? "Street ball?" There are only "a few respectful young men out there, but not the majority?"

Generalize much?

(No subject)

You're a big idiot.

You're a big idiot.

6 years and 12,000 points

and you don't pick up on a Fab 5 reference? The Illinois student section chanted "crack house" to Jalen Rose after the bust at a party he attended. Jalen promptly went off for 23 points.

What is the point?

Michigan has good games and bad games. This one was a bad one. Why harp on it? The team that turns the ball over less and shoots better wins the vast majority of the time. All this post does is remind us of this fact. I'm getting tired of the faux-analytical nature of this blog. Basketball is a sport full of unpredictability. Shoehorning statistical analysis into it is a fool's errand. Kaminsky had a great game, Stauskus had a bad one, and that's basically it.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate some of the meta analyitics like Kenpom. However, this game isn't explained by them as effectively.

Morgan

has got to do something more than kick it out for a contested 3 when he has the PG on his back. Make a post move, come on!

I agree with you 100% OP.

I, for one, am sick and tired of coaches giving 3 word answers to reporters' questions and players giving cliches during postgame. The reporters are there for a reason, and that's to get an inside view of the game on the field. Well, Erin Andrews got exactly that. Don't complain when you get exactly what you want.

Yay!

I think this could be great!

Though the playcalls may get in a bit slowly...

It's a Greek life reference.

People unassociated with a fraternity or sorority are referred to as "Goddamned Independents" or Geeds, for short. It implies that they're un-bro.

If the HOF only took one

If the HOF only took one player at a postition, Ray Lewis would be in over Urlacher. But Urlacher was an extraordinary athlete who altered gameplans and took offenses out of primary reads because of his speed and knowledge of opposing offenses. There aren't stats for a quarterback having to go to a second read because Urlacher took away a TE's route at the last second. Situations like that are what made Urlacher great and it's why experts have been so effusive today.

Your opinion is bad. Urlacher

Your opinion is bad. Urlacher is the best linebacker in Bears history. Singletary isn't even at the best LBs of all time table, Butkus maybe, and Lewis is definitely. The system Urlacher played in didn't lend itself to a lot of big hits and huge impacts from the middle linebacker spot but nobody could play and move like he did at his size. Like a poster said above he is 11th all time in tackles, made 8 Pro Bowls, and played on one of the most consistently strong defenses of the past decade. It's okay to take off your meatball glasses sometimes.
