No open thread created yet, so thought I'd kick things off. Sparty fans' signs are getting a lot of mileage out of Urban's late-night pizza run in Indy. Here's to GameDay being in AA for The Game next year because it's relevant to the B1G East title, and we can have our own fun. Go Blue.

The Michigan difference: I don't ever remember seeing any reference to a rival we're not actually playing in a big Michigan game. Never.
Once we play them, we don't even think about them until the next year.
We don't let our rivals define us. We don't need to.

I've been thinking about MSU all season long. They are continually in the national spotlight, getting respect, etc. Remind me again why I don't care about them, because I sure wish it were so.

There are 2 threads on the front page right now that are all about UM's biggest rivals. Have you read all of the CC comparisons including Meyer and Dantonio? We compare UM's successes/failures to its rivals all the time. Also, I was right behind these people at a game totally not involving MSU:

When Gameday was from Ingalls Mall I remember a couple of signs referencing Ohio State. One was about how Luke Fickell looked like the Waterboy and the other was "Liar, Liar Vest on fire".

The comedian in me wants Vanderbilt-Florida to end up being a nailbiter and hopes the SEC Network has Musberger all over the Ole Miss-Presbyterian game.
Also, I think considering where they are, every mention of Saban needs to start, "Nick Saban, who once said he would not be the next coach at LSU..."

I think I hate Ohio State more than MSU and want to see MSU easily handle the Buckeyes. I'd rather see OSU fans cry and light themselves on fire due to losing than MSU fans.

get your wish. Personally I just want to see them both sh*t the bed, and if it hurts the B1G's image, so be it. But I think that MSU is going to handle them, especially at home.

I'm rooting for an MSU loss, but I have a feeling they win by a lot. Not because MSU is that good, but because OSU is that mediocre.
