I was there too. 6-4 Tigers. Sat just outside the right feild foul pole. There were two other memorable moments in that game. Billy Martin and Reggie Jackson arguing in the Yankees dugout and and a loudmouth drunk sitting about five rows above us getting hit in the head by a foul ball, sliding about five steps down the aisle dazed, and the whole section erupting into a big cheer. My introduction to karma.

This would be an interesting ruling as SMSB is within our 50 miles radius, but outside Sparty's and OSU's. D'Antoni would attend SMSB, but would Urbs give up his opportunity to troll Michigan for more productive OSU recruiting areas?

I played in two State Championship games, but my most memorable game was playing Clio in the finals of the Greater Flint High School Baseball Tournament my Senior year. It was the bottom of the sixth, two out and bases were loaded. We trailed by one run. I hit a gound ball up the middle I thought was a sure base hit. The eighteenth or nineteenth Doyle brother from Clio (it seemed like there was an endless supply) came flying across the field from short, barehanded the ball, and in one motion threw a perfect strike to first base nipping me by a few inches. We ended up losing 4-3.
Why is this the most memorable? Because the mutha f'n Channel 12 news team kicked off their sports coverage with that highlight for about six years. Every time I watched it, I swear that kid was possessed because the play was superhuman.

I'm for keeping the white pants. They highlight the iconic helmet much more and the maize pant stripe goes well with the stripes on the helmet as well. My wife also says I have "no fashion sense." So take my opinion for what it is worth. I just want to win.

Vance Bedford has strong ties to Michigan and coached with Durkin and Mattison at Florida. Seems like the kid is landing on his feet and wouldn't surprise me if our staff assisted. So enough of the conjecture.

Vance Bedford has strong ties to Michigan and coached with Durkin and Mattison at Florida. Seems a likely the Michigan staff steered him to Texas who can accomodate his early enrollment. Seems like the kid is landing on his feet and wouldn't surprise me if our staff assisted. So enough of the conjecture.

This is why I left the Corporate world and acquired several businesses. It is also why I replaced 85% of my salaried and hourly employees during the first year of owning any business. It is now why I have only 1099 commissioned employees outside my admin. Deliver or starve.
Employers suck. Employees suck. Frankly, either create your own path or get used to it.

While waiting for a flight back from London to the US in 1995, David Letterman sat down next to me in the British Air Courtesy Suite. He had just finished a week of very highly hyped shows from London. As he was sitting down I smiled and said, "Congratulations on your shows. They turned this town upside down." His response? "Can't you see I have a newspaper in my hands? Don't bother me." He proceeded to unfold his paper and peer over it at people for 30 minutes -- never really reading it. I haven't watched his show since.
His "Late Night from London" jacket he was wearing was very cool though. The only change I would have made would be to change the name on the front from "Dave" to "Asshole".

Hard to sleep on the #5 kid out of Florida when the Top 4 were D'Angelo Russell, Chris McCollough, Joel Berry and Grayson Allen. Yet, all the scouting services had up to 8 or 9 Florida kids in their top100 -- just not the kid everyone in Florida who follows Florida basketball called #5. If you saw him play, you knew. If you didn't, you wouldn't.

Great idea. I am declaring that I am officially redshirting too. I'm done this year and I'll be back next season!
So I'll just watch from the sidelines with no physical or emotional involvement. Wow, this feels so liberating.

I'm not sure what the big deal is. Bolden was simply expressing that our offense would be camping out at midfield until the game was decided. Next week drive the stake into the endzone.

Living just south of Fort Myers, I had the opportunity to watch Ricky Doyle play in the Palms City tournament over the Christmas Holiday against some of the nation's best talent. Don't sleep on him. He is not Beifeldt 2.0. He isn't significantly more athletic, but his is much, much more skilled. He is the number 5 player in Florida and rated a five-star talent by Florida Hoops. Florida has some great players.
Ricky has one of the smoothest softest shots I've seen from a big fella. He was matched up against a Colorado team with two Division I bigs and lit them up for 23 with zero support. Not one of his shots from the floor hit the rim. His face up game is superb. Give him space and he will bury it. Back to the basket game? Well, in Bielein's offense who really cares. Defensively, he isn't the fastest afoot, but with some work and conditioning he will be competent. Definitely not a shot blocker. Rebounding is decent, but he isn't a great leaper.
Closest comparator I can think of is a 6'10" Frank Kaminsky who is a bit thicker and not quite as quick under the basket. He is a shooter who draw an opponents big to the perimiter and over time will add some defense and rebounding. Okay, I'll go there -- Pittsnogle 2.0, but a little more athletic.
